203: Chapter 203 The Alien Girl Awakens

Time is a luxury in the apocalypse, yet it flies by.

Song Yang's life was frighteningly disciplined. He traveled to Dajing City once a day, and spent the rest of his time immersed in the manor, practicing the Gene Evolution Method taught by Zeus.

He could clearly feel the power within his body constantly breaking through shackles in a brutal manner, growing stronger every day than the last.

Today, he changed into a clean set of black casual loungewear and headed down to the basement.

Xiao Xue, Bai Jie, Zhang Xinmei, Yang Yueqi, and Zhang Yu had all changed into their best clothes as well, staring intently at the massive metal pod in the center.

Over the past few days, under Zeus's "cramming" style of teaching, everyone had mastered basic Universal Galactic Language.

Communicating with the new member who was about to wake up would not be a problem.

Buzz—

After a low hum, the faint blue light on the surface of the Hibernation Pod dimmed completely, and all the operation indicators went out one by one.

Accompanied by a slight sound of pressure release, the heavy hatch slowly rose upward.

The alien girl, who had slept for thousands of years, was finally going to see the light of day again.

The first thing to move were her long eyelashes, fluttering gently like butterfly wings.

Then, her pale pink lips parted slightly, as if she were adapting to the completely different air.

Finally, she opened her eyes.

What kind of eyes were those?

They were as pure as crystal, without any impurities.

She slowly sat up, her long hair cascading down like a waterfall, partially veiling her delicate body.

Her skin was dazzlingly white under the lights, and her pointed ears twitched slightly, making her look remarkably like a beautiful elf from a movie.

Liliya's gaze swept across the unfamiliar and empty basement, passing over the women with their various expressions, and finally settled on Song Yang, who stood at the front.

He was the only person there who gave her a slight sense of familiarity.

"Where is this?"

"Earth."

Song Yang replied in equally fluent Universal Galactic Language, "You have been asleep for a long time."

Hearing the Galactic Language, a spark of light flashed in Liliya's eyes, and the bottomless confusion receded slightly.

"Are you a crew member of the lorraine?"

She asked tentatively, her body somewhat weak from having just woken up.

"I am not."

Song Yang shook his head and, without much explanation, took two steps forward and reached out his hand to her. "Zeus says he welcomes you to the new world, Liliya."

Liliya stared blankly at the hand extended before her; this strange Human Race member seemed to have no ill intent.

She hesitated for a moment before finally placing her small, cold hand gently into Song Yang's palm.

The moment Song Yang helped her out of the Hibernation Pod, the expressions of the women standing behind him turned subtle.

Liliya's body was very light, and her skin felt cold and delicate to the touch.

Once she was steady, she naturally withdrew her hand. Her gaze briefly lingered on the women around her, but their various expressions didn't catch much of her attention.

She looked back at Song Yang, and in those pure eyes, a hint of the anxiety typical of her age finally appeared.

"Where are my brothers? And Zeus, where is he?"

Xiao Xue subconsciously curled her lip, thinking that this alien woman really didn't treat herself like a stranger, asking questions right after waking up.

"They are all dead; during the interstellar voyage thousands of years ago, the lorraine crashed on Earth."

Liliya's long eyelashes trembled violently, and her unrealistically beautiful face instantly lost all color, becoming as pale as the Hibernation Pod behind her.

But she didn't cry out; she only bit her lower lip hard, as if using all her strength to support her tottering body.

"What about Zeus? He is an Intelligent Lifeform."

She squeezed out the name with difficulty; it was her last hope.

Song Yang raised his hand. A palm-sized, silver-white, and cutely designed spherical robot appeared out of thin air, hovering above his palm.

The next second, the sound of extremely aggrieved crying came from the robot.

[Master... *sob*... Master, it's been so long. I've waited for you for thousands of years. I've been waiting for the day you would wake up!]

Hearing that familiar voice, Liliya stepped forward quickly and carefully took the small robot from Song Yang's hand, hugging it tightly to her chest as if it were the most precious treasure in the world.

"You've suffered, Zeus."

Her voice was thick with emotion, and her tears finally broke through, sliding down her smooth cheeks and dripping onto the robot's shell.

She bowed her head and murmured in a voice only she and Zeus could hear:

"It's all my fault. If I hadn't insisted on exploring this unknown star sector, we wouldn't have encountered those damned Star Pirates..."

In the basement, only her suppressed sobs and Zeus's intermittent electronic comforts remained.

Xiao Xue and the others looked at each other; it was their first time seeing an alien cry, and she was surprisingly similar to humans.

Liliya's sobbing gradually subsided. With red eyes, she carefully placed Zeus back into Song Yang's palm, as if performing a solemn handover ceremony.

The sharp pain of losing her family still weighed on her heart, but she knew she couldn't stay grief-stricken forever.

Just then, Liliya's body swayed, and she instinctively reached out to steady herself against the Hibernation Pod.

"How strange..."

She murmured to herself, "My body... it feels light, as if I can't stay on the ground."

Liliya looked at her hands and feet in wonder, the uncontrollable floating sensation growing stronger.

[Master, this is a normal phenomenon.]

Zeus's voice came from Song Yang's palm. [The gravity coefficient of this planet is far lower than that of your home planet. Your body is adapting to the new environment. This feeling of weightlessness will soon disappear. Theoretically, you will become very powerful here.]

"Powerful?"

Song Yang keenly caught the keyword.

Before the words could settle, a sudden change occurred!

Liliya intended to take a step forward, but as soon as her toes left the ground, she became like a weightless feather, floating upward against all common sense!

"Ah—"

She let out a short cry of surprise, her hands waving wildly in the air, trying to grab onto something.

However, she only rose higher and higher. Soon, her snow-white calves were above everyone's heads, until her back gently bumped against the ceiling and she stopped.

The women all looked up, dumbfounded at the elven girl stuck to the ceiling like a balloon.

Her white dress flared out due to the lack of gravity, like a lotus blooming on the ceiling, both holy and eerie.

"What's going on? Can she fly?" Yang Yueqi stammered.

Song Yang was also somewhat surprised; he knew better than anyone what this implied.

He Suppressing the turmoil in my heart, turned his gaze to Zeus in his palm and asked in a low voice:

"The power you mentioned just now, is this what you meant?"

[This is only one aspect of it.]

Zeus said excitedly, [Master's race is soaked in Life Evolution Fluid from birth for basic genetic optimization. Although Master is peace-loving and has never experienced real combat, her Life Level far exceeds the creatures on this planet. It's a matter of starting points.]

[If measured by your current human combat standards, Master should be at the peak of the War God Level.]
