64: Chapter 64 The Most Terrifying Women Are the Ones Who Take the Initiative
Zhang Xinmei and Zhang Yu exchanged a glance, hurriedly put down the things in their hands, and followed him.
The Villa's kitchen was enormous, complete with an island, a double-door refrigerator, and a built-in oven.
It was large enough to accommodate several chefs working at the same time.
With a wave of Song Yang's arm, as if by magic, a carton of fresh eggs appeared out of thin air on the stove, neatly arranged.
Immediately after, he produced a stainless steel rice cooker; when the lid was opened, steaming white rice was inside.
"Is this creation out of thin air?"
Zhang Yu pointed at the carton of eggs and the rice cooker, her tongue somewhat tied.
After the apocalypse, instant noodles were a luxury, and eggs and hot rice were things one wouldn't even dare to dream of, yet Song Yang had conjured them out of thin air just like that!
Zhang Xinmei was also so shocked by this irrational scene that her heart skipped a beat, but she quickly calmed down.
She had long felt that Song Yang was not simple; now it seemed this man still held many secrets.
Song Yang had already skillfully picked up a bowl, cracked a few eggs into it, and quickly beat them with chopsticks.
He turned on the electric stove and poured in cooking oil. With a "sizzle," the golden egg liquid slid into the pan, rapidly expanding and solidifying.
The white rice was poured into the pan and quickly stir-fried with the eggs, chopped green onions, and other seasonings. The rice grains leaped in the pan, taking on an enticing golden hue.
Zhang Xinmei and Zhang Yu's attention was completely captured by the egg-fried rice.
The sense of fullness from the few crackers and canned food they had just eaten vanished completely, and their stomachs began to clamor again.
They subconsciously swallowed their saliva, their eyes tightly following the fragrant food in the pan.
"Sizzle—"
As the final symphony of hot oil colliding with soy sauce ended, Song Yang served up a large pot of golden, fragrant egg-fried rice garnished with emerald-green scallions.
The group went to the dining room. The long dining table, which could seat over a dozen people, now only held the five of them, making it feel somewhat empty.
Song Yang divided the egg-fried rice into five portions and placed them in the center of the table, then produced several sets of clean bowls and chopsticks as if by magic.
"Don't be in such a hurry to eat."
Just as Zhang Xinmei was about to eat, Song Yang spoke.
Four pairs of eyes looked at him in unison.
"There's no such thing as a free lunch."
Song Yang leaned back in his chair, calmly scanning the four women before him.
"If you want to eat this meal, fine. Each of you must give me a kiss before you can use your chopsticks."
Bai Jie and Xiao Xue hardly hesitated and quickly completed the task.
Next was Zhang Xinmei.
She stood up, walked to Song Yang, and instead of a brief peck like Bai Jie and the others, she cupped Song Yang's face. Her soft, warm lips pressed against his, lingering and grinding for a moment before she pulled away reluctantly.
"Your turn."
Song Yang's gaze fell upon the last person.
When it was Zhang Yu's turn, her cheeks instantly flushed bright red, even her earlobes turning crimson.
She looked at the fragrant plate of egg-fried rice, then at the expressionless Song Yang, and then at her aunt who acted as if nothing was wrong. Her lips trembled, and for a long time, she couldn't say a word.
"I can't do it."
Shame triumphed over hunger. The girl, who had just graduated from the Police Academy, covered her face and fled back to her room, slamming the door with a "bang."
Zhang Xinmei put down the spoon she had just picked up, sighed, and gave Song Yang an apologetic smile. "
This child is thin-skinned; I'll go talk to her."
Inside the room, Zhang Yu lay prone on the bed, her head covered with a quilt.
Zhang Xinmei sat down beside her and gently patted her back.
"Xiao Yu, why put yourself through this? What time is it now? You know exactly what the situation is like outside."
Zhang Yu looked up, her eyes red, with teardrops still hanging on her face.
"Auntie, but how could he make such a request! What's the difference between him and those thugs who take advantage of a crisis?"
"There's a huge difference."
Zhang Xinmei smiled. "He can conjure food out of thin air, he could foresee the arrival of the apocalypse, and he can let us eat a hot meal in this end-of-the-world scenario. Can those thugs do that?
Xiao Yu, don't be foolish. He's the only one we can rely on now. A small price to pay in exchange for a chance to survive—it's not a hard calculation to make."
"But I..."
Zhang Yu bit her lower lip. "I've never even had a boyfriend; I have no idea how to please a man."
By the end, her voice grew smaller and smaller, and her face turned red once again.
Seeing her niece's green and stubborn appearance, Zhang Xinmei suddenly burst out laughing.
"Silly girl, what's so hard about that? Don't know how to please a man? It doesn't matter."
She leaned close to Zhang Yu's ear. "After we finish eating, I'll teach you how to make a man unable to resist you."
Her aunt's words were like a stone cast into the lake of Zhang Yu's heart, stirring up ripples.
The enticing aroma of food kept drifting in through the crack in the door like an invisible hand, scratching at her stomach and shaking her resolve.
The apocalypse, hunger, and their only reliance—the cruelty of reality made her modicum of reserve and ideals from times of peace seem so fragile and out of place.
Ultimately, hunger overwhelmed everything.
She took a deep breath as if making a momentous decision, then suddenly pulled open the door and walked out.
With her head down, Zhang Yu walked quickly to Song Yang, her heart beating like a drum.
She didn't dare look into Song Yang's eyes; she just leaned in quickly, her lips like a startled bird, lightly touching Song Yang's lips.
Then, she fled back to her seat, picked up her spoon, and almost buried her face in the bowl.
Song Yang didn't care about this perfunctory peck and just said indifferently:
"Eat."
The meal was soon finished, and everyone had a look of satisfaction on their faces.
Zhang Xinmei wiped the corners of her mouth with a napkin, stood up, and naturally began making arrangements:
"This Villa has many rooms. Bai Jie, you and Xiao Xue take those two rooms on the left side of the second floor. Xiao Yu, you stay across from me. Song Yang, you take the master bedroom; it has an en-suite bathroom, which is more convenient."
Bai Jie and Xiao Xue had no objections; they said their thanks and went upstairs.
After filling the water heater, Song Yang stepped into the bathroom, preparing to take a shower.
Just as he took off his clothes, a soft knock came from outside the bathroom door.
"Song Yang, it's me." It was Zhang Xinmei's voice.
Song Yang turned off the shower, grabbed a clean towel to wrap around his lower body, and went to open the bathroom door.
Outside the door, Zhang Xinmei had changed her attire.
She wore a dark red silk cheongsam that tightly hugged her plump and provocative curves.
The high slit revealed long, fair thighs, and she wore a pair of red stilettos.
A charming smile played on her face, and her whole being exuded the unique allure of a mature woman.
Amidst the swirling steam, her gaze was like a hook, looking directly at Song Yang.
Before Song Yang could speak, she took a step forward and threw herself into his arms.
"Why didn't you call me for your shower?"
She looked up, her breath like orchids and her eyes hazy.
"Showering alone is so boring; I'll join you."
Song Yang looked down at the beauty in his arms; the unmasked desire in her eyes was almost overflowing.
He smiled and reached out to pinch her delicate chin.
"The current me is a bit different from before. If we shower for too long, I'm afraid you won't be able to handle it."
Hearing this, instead of being afraid, Zhang Xinmei giggled and hugged him even tighter.
"Silly brother," her voice was so soft it could drip water.
"In this world, there are only exhausted oxen, never worn-out fields. Go ahead and do your worst; if your big sister cries out in exhaustion, I'll consider it my loss."
Song Yang looked at her seductive face so close to his and gave a low laugh.
Then with a surge of strength, he swept her into his arms.
"Is that so? It seems Sister Xinmei is very confident."
Zhang Xinmei trembled slightly at the touch of his fingertips, her body nestling even more softly against him. On her upturned face, those peach-blossom eyes were almost brimming with moisture.
"Confident?"
She chuckled, her red lips drawing closer until they almost brushed his. "Little brother, have you forgotten? Big sister is at the age of peak desire. As the saying goes, a woman in her thirties is like a wolf, and in her forties, like a tiger."
Her words were interrupted by Song Yang's sudden movement.
He lowered his head slightly, his lips lingering by her earlobe, whispering ambiguously in a volume only the two of them could hear:
"But you don't know that the current me is even fiercer than wolves and tigers!"
The warm, moist breath sprayed onto her sensitive ear, making Zhang Xinmei's delicate body go limp.
Her breathing quickened, and her arms around Song Yang's neck tightened instinctively, her nails lightly sinking into his firm muscles.
"Then let's try it."
The man carried the woman and turned toward the shower area. The warm water was turned on again, cascading down and instantly enveloping the two of them in a hazy mist.
At this moment, just outside the bathroom door that walled off the spring scenery, Zhang Yu was pressed tightly against the wall, not daring to make a sound.
Her cheeks were even redder than when she had kissed him, and her heart was beating so fast it felt like it would jump out of her throat.
After dinner, Zhang Xinmei had told her to wait outside the master bedroom, saying she would give her a "live lesson."
Zhang Yu was resistant at first, but she eventually succumbed, standing there stiffly like a marionette.
The faint sounds of conversation from the bathroom drifted intermittently into her ears.
Although she couldn't hear the specific details clearly, it was enough to set her imagination wild.
Her aunt's flirtatious laughter, Song Yang's low responses, and those short, sudden gasps.
The sound of the water grew louder, drowning out most of the noise until nothing could be heard.
Zhang Yu bit her lower lip hard, her nails digging deep into her palms.
She had never experienced anything like this; what she had learned at the Police Academy were all upright principles and combat techniques.
Matters between men and women, for her, only existed in vague health classes and occasionally heard jokes that were dismissed as "unhealthy."
Her aunt wanted her to "learn"... learn what?
To learn how to please a man with her body like she did?
In a way that just thinking about it made her face flush and her heart race, a way that was too embarrassing to speak of?
The sound of the water continued, seemingly without end.
Leaning against the door panel, Zhang Yu felt her legs going weak.
She felt that this night was longer than any night since the apocalypse began.
