248: Chapter 244 Battle of the Extraterrestrial Powerhouses
Before the Bald Man could finish his sentence—
"Beep—! Beep—!"
Sharp, ear-piercing alarms blared from the main ship behind them.
This signified an unidentified object approaching at high speed.
His command had not yet been fully issued.
In the night sky directly ahead of them, space rippled slightly like the surface of water.
A ghost-like spaceship emerged out of thin air, silent and motionless, as if it had always been there.
Unlike their five hideous, exposed Marauder Ships, this vessel's lines were smooth and elegant. It was pitch-black, blending perfectly into the night; if it hadn't revealed itself voluntarily, it would have been impossible to detect with the naked eye.
The hatch slid open.
A figure walked out unhurriedly, standing alone, suspended in opposition to the group of over fifty people.
The Bald Man's pupils constricted suddenly. The scanning device on his wrist projected an almost invisible beam and fed the results back onto his retina.
[Race: Human.]
[Level: Stellar Level Two.]
There was actually a human inside the ship?
The Bald Man was stunned at first, then a cruel smirk appeared on his face.
"I wondered what it was. Turns out it's just a native human from Earth."
"Didn't the intelligence say the only Stellar Rank on this planet had left? Where did another one pop up from?"
The scrawny subordinate also saw the scan results and immediately regained his confidence. Bowing and scraping, he said:
"Boss, maybe the intel was wrong and the original guy never left at all!"
"A Stellar Level Two..."
The Bald Man sized Song Yang up, his eyes evaluating him like the value of a piece of cargo.
"Fine, a living Stellar Rank slave is worth much more than those ordinary people."
"Kid, should I admire your courage, or mock your stupidity?"
The Bald Man took a step forward, releasing his pressure as a Stellar Level Six without reservation, attempting to crush this ignorant Earthling directly.
"Hand over the people you captured. Otherwise, all of you will die here."
Song Yang spoke.
Hearing this, the crowd erupted into a burst of wanton, wild laughter.
"Ha... Hahaha! What did I just hear?"
"Is this Earthling's brain broken? Does he know who he's talking to?"
"A Level Two piece of trash dares to threaten us?"
The scrawny subordinate laughed so hard he doubled over, tears nearly coming out. He pointed at Song Yang and said flatteringly to the Bald Man beside him:
"Boss, did you hear that? He told us to hand over the people or he'd kill us. Haha, who does he think he is? A cosmic god?"
The cruel smirk on the Bald Man's face grew even deeper. He silenced his subordinates' laughter and took another step forward, closing the distance to Song Yang to less than a hundred meters.
He rubbed his smooth chin with great interest.
"Kid, I'll admit, you've got more guts than I imagined."
"With the fate of the entire Earth resting on your shoulders, you can still say such things. Not bad, truly not bad."
"I'll give you a chance—a chance to save yourself and your planet from destruction."
He extended a thick finger and pointed it at Song Yang from a distance.
"Kneel down, swear your loyalty to me, and become my most faithful dog. From now on, I'll tell you who to bite, and you'll bite them."
"As long as you agree, not only will I spare your life, but I might even consider taking only half of the Earthlings as slaves."
Song Yang looked up, a ripple finally appearing in his pitch-black eyes.
"I refuse."
"I won't allow any filthy alien things to lay a finger on my home."
"Every invader must die."
As soon as these words were spoken, the scrawny subordinate acted as if he had heard the funniest joke in the universe.
He burst into sharp laughter again, clutching his stomach as he said to the Bald Man:
"Boss, he... he said he wants us to die! A Level Two, he actually..."
However, in the next moment—
Everyone's laughter came to an abrupt halt.
Behind Song Yang, without any warning, things began to crawl out.
Not one, not ten, but thousands upon thousands.
Countless thick, blood-red vines, like ancient pythons lurking in another dimension, suddenly broke free of their restraints and roared into reality!
The moment they appeared, they grew, intertwined, and coiled with a speed that defied the laws of physics!
The sky vanished.
The starlight was obscured.
Front, back, left, right, up, and down—every direction was instantly sealed off by these endless vines, forming an airtight cage.
The five hideous Marauder Ships and the fifty-plus arrogant Star Pirates were all enveloped within this sudden forest of death.
The scrawny subordinate, who had been so insufferable moments ago, had his flattering smile frozen on his face.
He watched in horror as vines brushed past him less than a meter away, the resulting wind stinging his cheeks.
"What... what the hell is this?!"
"Attack! Quick, attack!"
The Star Pirates finally reacted.
The Bald Man's face turned ashen. He stared fixedly at Song Yang, his eyes filled with unbelievable fury.
"You're looking for death!"
"A mere Stellar Level Two, and you dare to initiate an attack against us?!"
"You're purely tired of living!"
...
In the next moment, a Stellar Level One Star Pirate didn't even have time to raise his weapon before his chest was pierced by three blood vines attacking from behind.
The barbs on the vines squirmed like living creatures. With a gentle twist, the body was torn into several pieces of steaming flesh, which, along with internal organs and bones, were greedily dragged into the depths of the vines.
"What kind of monster is this!"
"Open fire! Burn all these damn plants!"
"Boss! Save me!"
However, the Bald Man's attention was no longer on the vines, nor on whether his useless subordinates lived or died.
His eyes were bloodshot, fixed firmly on Song Yang.
To catch the bandits, first catch their leader!
This logic applied in every corner of the universe!
No matter how strong these strange plants were, they were surely being controlled by this Level Two kid.
As long as he killed him, this forest of death would collapse on its own!
"You think you can win with these little tricks?"
The Bald Man let out a roar, turning into an Afterimage. At some point, a battle-axe flickering with dark red lightning had appeared in his hand!
Wherever the battle-axe passed, even those indestructible blood vines were forcibly split open to create a path!
The hundred-meter distance was covered in an instant.
The battle-axe went straight for Song Yang's neck!
Clang—!
The attack was blocked.
The Bald Man's eyes widened in horror. His unstoppable battle-axe had been steadily blocked by a blade.
A figure had appeared in front of Song Yang at some unknown point.
It was a woman.
She had long hair and features so exquisite they didn't seem real. Her figure was slender, and she wore a form-fitting silver combat suit.
The smart device on his wrist issued an alarm at that moment.
[Warning! Warning!]
[Target level determined... Stel... Stellar Level... Seven!!!]
"Kill them all."
"Leave none alive!"
Song Yang gave the order to the woman.
The woman nodded. "As you command, my master."
