127: Admissions (revised version)

Underground palace.

Seven virtual projections sat around a large circular table.

Each virtual projection had a placard in front of it, with a single number from 1 to 7.

“From the intelligence we received later, it seems Chen Du used the Mystic Treasure’s power for the first time in the video.”

“He probably kept it secret out of caution, not telling anyone about Awakening the Mystic Treasure during his Quasi-Warrior stage.”

“His teacher only regarded him as an ordinary Grade A student.”

“Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been escorted by just one Sky Soaring Warrior.”

“It’s always the same few sentences!”

“I’m really fed up, it’s been over half a month.”

“Still no result.”

Number 1 stood up, interrupting Number 7’s speech, and swept his gaze across everyone, saying angrily.

“I’ve already sent people to deal with that staff member, now only the seven of us know about Chen Du’s matter!”

“This is a mutated, high-quality resource!”

“Don’t you want it?”

“Our Life Strength hasn’t increased in years!”

After a moment of silence, Number 7 took over the conversation:

“You can’t say that. High Martial Civilization is also an Upper Civilization, not weaker than us at all.”

“Furthermore, the place Chen Du is currently staying is the First Ecological Zone, which has the highest military power, so we have no opportunity.”

“Are we going to draw again?”

Number 1 looked at everyone and said, “I want to capture him alive, but you think we need to eliminate him.”

“The five of you are good, all neutral, not supporting anyone.”

“Each of you was quite spirited back then. In the past hundred years, we have developed from a middle-tier civilization into an Upper Civilization.”

“Didn’t we rely on devouring high-quality resources?”

“Why are you all so cowardly now?”

“Are you just going to muddle through each day like this?”

Number 3, unable to listen any longer, spoke up:

“Don’t make it sound so bad.”

“We also want high-quality resources, but the problem now is that there’s no concrete plan for capturing him.”

“But we can’t bear to eliminate him!”

“After all, we progress by devouring talented foreign races, and the higher the talent, the greater the help to us.”

“We naturally can’t bear to destroy a mutated, high-quality resource like Chen Du.”

“That’s why we’re stuck in a dead loop.”

“How about we activate that ‘needle’ in the First Ecological Zone?”

Number 5 said, as the situation reached a stalemate.

“The risk is too great. Chen Du’s value might not even be comparable to this needle, and even if activated, it’s not 100% successful.”

Number 3 took over the conversation and replied.

“How about this, let that needle continue to observe. Chen Du will leave the ecological zone sooner or later.”

“Then we’ll find a way to capture him.”

“A resource like this, capable of Awakening a Mystic Treasure at the Quasi-Warrior stage, has never appeared before, we cannot let it go!”

Number 6’s virtual projection suggested.

“I agree!”

“I refuse!”

“Three votes in favor, two votes against, two abstentions.”

“Proposal number 6 passed.”

...

At the entrance of a three-story building.

“Chen Du, you are now a student of Qilin Martial Arts University.”

“As your escort, my final task is complete.”

You Zhong looked at Chen Du and smiled.

“Is it a bit different from what you imagined?”

Chen Du nodded:

“The enrollment process seems a bit too simple, not quite what I expected.”

“Haha.” You Zhong laughed as if he had heard something amusing.

“Chen Du, the Three Great Academies don’t have any so-called sense of ritual or procedures.”

“In the next four years, you’ll likely not even see the principal, and there won’t be any important speeches from leaders here.”

“No holidays, no clubs, not even entertainment industries in the city.”

“You saw that just now on the Skysoar.”

“Qilin City is also called Qilin Martial Arts University.”

“The total number of students from first to fourth year here is over 3,000.”

“And the permanent population of this city is 5 million, and all industries that these 5 million people are engaged in serve you, these 3,000-plus people!”

“Can you understand this sense of responsibility?”

“Every student of the Three Great Academies is the future of High Martial Civilization!”

“It is precisely because of the continuous emergence of fresh blood like you that our civilization has been able to continue to this day.”

You Zhong said earnestly.

Chen Du listened and nodded seriously.

“The Three Great Academies have no entrance ceremony, no freshman welcoming party, classes start directly.”

“Tomorrow, just follow the hand ring's instructions and go to the classroom.”

“When you reported earlier, the courses and school rules were already entered into your hand ring. There isn’t much content, so you can read it yourself tonight.”

“My work for today is completely finished here.”

“I’ve been on this business trip for a while, so I’ll be leaving first. We’ll meet again in the next four years.”

After You Zhong finished speaking, he departed on the Skysoar.

Chen Du watched him leave.

After completing his registration, his independent Martial Arts Room was unlocked. He had intended to go straight back, read the school rules, and start training.

But he suddenly wanted to eat some hot food.

For over half a month on his journey, he had only been drinking nutrient solutions.

While they filled him up, they lacked flavor.

Upon returning to a city with the scent of human life, he instinctively wanted to have a late-night snack.

Cuisine is an irreplaceable culture; even with many nutrient solutions on the market that can fill one’s stomach with a single sip, they still haven’t eliminated the food industry. Even intelligent robots venturing into this field have failed.

Because the dishes they make have no Soul!

Chen Du directly pinpointed a food city and called a Skysoar.

Just as Chen Du pressed the confirmation button on his hand ring, three words appeared on the screen.

“No permission.”

“Hmm?”

“What’s going on?”

Chen Du tried a few more times, but it was still the same.

He frowned slightly, thinking of something.

He opened the school rules in the upper right corner of the Qilin Martial Arts University APP.

Scrolling down, he found the answer in Article 13.

“First to fourth-year students are unable to actively use any means of transportation within the First Ecological Zone.”

“No wonder there isn’t a single vehicle in this city. It turns out all students usually run!”

Chen Du muttered to himself, canceled the previous food city location, and switched to a nearby barbecue restaurant.

After devouring 100 skewers, he ran all the way back to his Martial Arts Room.

He took a hot shower and put on the blue uniform representing Qilin Martial Arts University.

The uniform was primarily blue, with a Qilin emblem on the left chest.

On the side, there was also an ‘I’, representing the first year.

Chen Du felt that this uniform was even more Advanced than the protective suit from the Seven Regions Genius Battle.

He then opened the APP and looked at the school rules.

The content was indeed not much, and Chen Du finished reading it in a minute.

100 credits per year, on the day of entering the next grade.

Greater than or equal to 60 points was fine, everything else was very standard.

As a dedicated student, Chen Du naturally wouldn’t rest after eating his fill, drinking, and washing up.

He was now going to challenge the tenth level of the Crystal Space!
