372: The tenth fertilizer

Chen Du traveled alone in the darkness.

According to the distance Chen Hean provided and his own speed, Chen Du roughly estimated with his wristband that he would need to maintain a very fast, non-stop pace for 10 days.

From the distance, it roughly matched the location of the Dynasty Civilization.

There are very few mountain ranges Underground; most of it is flat, so the travel route is almost always straight, which allows for faster arrival than traveling on the Surface.

However, this does not mean it is safe; the actual arrival time would theoretically be longer, as it is quite difficult for nothing to happen along the way.

This path exists between the Gloomy Land and the Nether Land, and is called the "Troubled Times."

This place does not belong to any specific territory; it is the Grand Dao between territories.

Although it is called the Grand Dao, it is not a straight road, and few Alien Races travel here.

According to Chen Du's understanding, there are two significant differences between the Underground and the Surface, and these two points directly lead to the relative safety of the Underground.

Firstly, the eighteen territories Underground have long been established, with no possibility of being overthrown; Underground Alien Races understand this from birth, and everyone lives in accordance with the rules.

There is no such thing as rebellion.

Secondly, the resources here are far, far scarcer compared to the Surface; although other territories certainly have richer resources than the Gloomy Land, they are only limitedly richer.

Resources are equivalent to money in the old era; without money, who would risk their life with you?

Therefore, it's not that the Underground Alien Races are peaceful, but rather that everyone is equally poor; the extremely wealthy few also possess extremely strong armed forces, and this model leads to the relative peace of the Underground.

Fighting has no value, no meaning; there's little gain whether you win or lose, and it harms others without benefiting oneself.

This leads to very few Alien Races traveling between territories, because you have no resources, and neither do I.

Thus, there is no exchange, and no communication.

Everyone essentially lives their own lives within their own civilization; only a few Geniuses with unyielding ambition will venture out to travel.

Of course, these are also the people who die the most.

"Stop!"

A shout suddenly came from behind Chen Du.

He currently looked like Ta Pi. Chen Du had carefully inquired about every passage back then, knowing that some places were safe, while others were equivalent to no-man's-lands.

In safe places, he would travel in his true form, and his speed would be faster.

In no-man's-lands, like the Troubled Times, where, as the name suggests, accidents are prone to happen, he chose to travel in Ta Pi's form.

Ta Pi's Life Strength Rank was also 16, just like Chen Du's, making him slightly faster than Wu La.

As for why he didn't transform into Ku Shan, firstly, because the other party was from the Big Ear Civilization, Chen Du was afraid of being recognized.

Although he had already left the Gloomy Land, it was still better to transform into such an obscure character.

Secondly, with the Alien ability, even if Chen Du transformed into the appearance of a Sky Soaring Warrior, the maximum power he could wield would only be Rank 16, which is his current Rank, the power of a normal Martial Artist without Mystic Treasures.

In other words, in his Alien state, his basic strength was weaker than anyone else's, and using any Martial Skill or ability would revert him to his original form.

However, this is quite normal; after all, it is a disguise ability. If he could still fight, that would be absurd!

"I'm talking to you, frog!"

The shout came again. Chen Du had heard it from the beginning but didn't want to pay attention to the other party, but now it seemed he couldn't leave.

Chen Du turned around:

"Is something wrong?"

"Oh!"

"Quite arrogant, aren't we?"

The Alien Race who spoke was about two meters tall, with a dinosaur head and the body of a Humanoid life form, belonging to a beast-human species.

And their shoulder shape was very unique, not symmetrical, but like carrying a wolf.

"We are from the Dire Wolf Civilization. Our Young Master saw your extraordinary demeanor and wishes to borrow something from you."

"What thing?"

Chen Du's eyes narrowed slightly. A group of strangers suddenly approached him, asking to borrow something right away, clearly with ill intentions.

Moreover, he didn't know any 'Young Master.' This question was merely out of curiosity about what they wanted to borrow; he shouldn't have revealed any wealth.

"Your life!"

Sure enough, Chen Du thought to himself.

Truly worthy of the Troubled Times; even without doing anything, someone immediately wants your life.

Instantly, five people stepped out from behind the speaker and surrounded Chen Du. Chen Du could feel that they were all Advanced Martial Artists.

The strongest among them was the same Rank as Ku Shan.

From this, it can be seen that the Dire Wolf Civilization's strength should be quite powerful, possibly even stronger than the Big Ear Civilization.

After all, the Gloomy Land is the most desolate of the three desolate lands; otherwise, the Big Ear Civilization wouldn't have chosen to set up camp there.

Furthermore, the Shushu Civilization and its ilk were impoverished Alien Races in the Gloomy Land, and before setting up camp near the Giant Egg, they were still wandering Alien Races.

If there were an antonym for 'Genius among Geniuses,' it would probably describe the nine Alien Races near the magma egg in the Gloomy Land.

Trash among trash!

However, the people living within didn't know this reality; they were educated to believe that the whole world was like this.

Only the Big Ear Civilization and those village chiefs knew this information; if they didn't spread it, these Alien Races would forever be frogs in a well, gazing at the moon in the sky.

Behind the person who just spoke, there was another person standing. These five Advanced Martial Artists had been standing by his side, serving as bodyguards.

To have five Advanced Martial Artists as bodyguards, including one Advanced Martial Artist of Rank 19, showed his extraordinary status. It seemed he was the so-called Young Master.

However, this small number of people was no match for Chen Du. Although he was unwilling, it seemed he would have to fight to leave.

This was unavoidable; after all, plans never keep up with changes.

The other party was clearly from a civilization with profound heritage. Chen Du prepared to kill them and leave immediately to avoid further trouble.

Just as Chen Du was about to make a move, he suddenly stopped.

In Chen Du's Mental Energy vision, he sensed an incredibly familiar object: a devouring grass!

And it was purple quality, currently placed behind that Young Master.

Because he had transformed into Sad Frog using Alien, Chen Du's eyes could see through darkness.

Because of this, he didn't use his Mental Energy to look so carefully at first, never expecting to see devouring grass Underground, and purple quality at that!

"Damn it!"

"What do you want to do!"

Chen Du immediately gave up resisting, and his body was quickly controlled by the other five Advanced Martial Artists.

He roared to the sky, his eyes revealing emotions of unwillingness, anger, and despair.

The Young Master standing furthest away suddenly spoke, his voice incredibly coarse, as if he had been poisoned and made mute from birth.

He walked straight to Chen Du.

Looking at Chen Du, who was controlled by the five people, a satisfied smile appeared on his face. He completely ignored Chen Du's words and said to himself:

"Very good, not an Alien Race from our territory, and an Advanced Martial Artist. I finally found you."

"This tenth fertilizer is truly hard to find!"
