288: Big Ear Mountains

November 10th, 17:12.

Kapi Mountains, a magical peak, thick at the top and thin at the bottom, Luobo Peak.

Luobo Peak is a main peak, and there are 103 such main peaks in the Kapi Mountains.

Each main peak is guarded by a Sky Soaring Warrior. The number of main peaks in Kapi Civilization is equal to the number of their Sky Soaring Warriors.

Under each main peak, there are varying numbers of secondary peaks.

These secondary peaks are mountains without Sky Soaring Warriors, but they also have their own armed forces, called Guard Teams.

It is a 10-person team composed of two Advanced Martial Artists of Level 15 and above, and eight Martial Artists below Level 15.

Among them, the two Advanced Martial Artists are the Captain and Vice Captain, respectively, and they patrol their respective peaks once a week.

“Pi Zhu was killed by the Alien Race?”

In a magnificent cave on Luobo Peak, a Kapi Alien Race with extremely developed muscles said with a serious expression.

This person was precisely Song Jingyan, the Peak Master of Luobo Peak.

“Yes, Peak Master.”

“I am Labu, the Guard Captain of Luoqiao Peak. A week ago, the Guard Team lost a Level 13 Martial Artist in battle, so I was preparing to find a new recruit during this period.”

“This morning, I heard the Vice Captain mention Pi Zhu. Not only was he the Student Council President of ‘Hallelujah University,’ but he also reached Level 14 Life Strength before graduating, showing great potential.”

“From his growth trend, he will most likely be able to take over my position in the future.”

“So I told him to bring Pi Zhu over, intending to meet him in person.”

“Unexpectedly, several hours passed, and the Vice Captain still hadn't returned, so I decided to go to his home myself.”

“The result was seeing five cold corpses at Pi Zhu’s house!”

“All five were killed with a single blow. From the wounds, it appeared to be a Sharp Weapon like a sword or knife, which leads to the conclusion that it was done by a humanoid Alien Race!”

“Our Kapi Civilization has done nothing wrong except for some acts of rape, pillage, and plunder against certain tribes. I never expected such evil Alien Race to target us!”

“Peak Master, you must avenge them!”

Labu said with snot and tears, as if he had suffered a great injustice.

After a few seconds of silence, the Peak Master of Luobo Peak said:

“Don’t worry, as long as the opponent is not a Sky Soaring Warrior, it’s fine.”

“Oh, right, go and check Pi Zhu’s recent travel records. I don’t believe in senseless killings, especially when someone is killed in their own home.”

“It must be that he flaunted his ‘wealth’!”

...November 13th, 20:12.

After Chen Du left the Kapi Mountains, he traveled for more than three days according to the map route and arrived at a mountain range called the Daer Mountains.

The reason for this name is that the Big Ear Civilization, which was eaten to extinction by the Giant Civilization, once lived in this area.

Strictly speaking, this place is not the territory of the Giant Civilization; it is only close to it, closer to the Giant Civilization than the Land of Abandoned Armor.

However, no Alien Race has come here for a long time now.

This place is almost as poor as the Kapi Mountains, with no resources whatsoever.

Moreover, Martial Warrior Level Giants occasionally appear here. They are not here to find the Big Ear Civilization, but to visit the

“restaurant” of their Seniors.

They all envy the era their Seniors lived in, where they could enjoy such delicacies.

The Daer Mountains was not on Chen Du's planned route; coming here meant taking a detour and also carried the risk of encountering the Giant Civilization.

But Chen Du still came without hesitation.

If it was truly as he imagined, and there were many devouring grasses here, or even a cluster of devouring grass, then he would truly strike it rich.

Although this thing would not enhance his own strength, if it could improve the overall strength of the entire civilization, wouldn't that also be a wonderful thing?

A stronger overall civilization strength is another form of protection.

Chen Du had just stepped into the Daer Mountains at this moment. After looking around, he concluded that it was a poor place.

Although devouring grass moves, it does not possess sentience, just like a robot vacuum cleaner. If you fix a fence around it, it will not jump out.

It instinctively devours other medicinal herbs to improve its quality. Normally, a place with no resources like this should not have devouring grass.

It seems there must be a secret here.

It's just unknown how many people know this secret.

However, judging from Pi Zhu's harvest, it's incredible that a Level 14 Martial Artist could obtain 10 devouring grasses.

Even a Genius from a Great Civilization would not be given 10 stalks of this level of resource, especially red quality, if they were a Level 14 Martial Artist.

Therefore, Chen Du speculated that this Pi Zhu must have accidentally discovered some treasure trove.

And this is highly probable, otherwise, why did the Big Ear Civilization choose this place as their stronghold back then?

Although from a strength perspective they had no choice, since Pi Zhu could get ten devouring grasses from here, it means there must be something special here.

The main reason it hasn't been discovered is the deterrent effect of the Giant Civilization; no Alien Race dares to come here at all.

The High Martial Civilization is also the same; they simply named this place and only explored a little bit of the very outer areas.

As for the Giant Civilization itself, they inherently dislike these mountainous areas, which greatly hinder their movement. They only prefer vast plains.

Just as the Big Eye Civilization dislikes sunlight, this is a natural trait.

According to the map route, Chen Du still needed to travel for about half a day to reach his destination.

But Chen Du decided to arrive in one day.

Giants from the Giant Civilization might appear here, so Chen Du decided to sacrifice half his speed to increase safety.

However, Chen Du was not moving forward at this moment, but was looking around for a secluded corner.

He needed to rest after so many days of travel. Chen Du planned to first check on the Energy Lifeform, Cao Daba, at the Six-Eyed Giant’s place.

Then he would go to the Crystal Space, which is Vice Chen Du’s location, to harvest a wave!

This time he had been AFK for about 14 days, or two weeks, so there should be a good improvement!

There were no Alien Races nearby, so Chen Du's target was easy to find; it just needed to provide cover.

Soon, he discovered a hole on the Surface. It was not deep, only two meters, and if viewed from a cross-section, it looked like a ping-pong ball with a chip.

Chen Du looked at it and jumped down. Immediately, he took out a piece of technology from his ring.

“Graffiti Dog.”

This was a robot shaped like a small dog, and its eyes could project a cover to fill gaps.

Soon, under the Graffiti Dog's ability, from the outside, the place looked like a flat Surface with no gaps.

Although no Alien Races lived here, Chen Du was still very cautious.

After doing all this, he slowly closed his eyes and immersed his consciousness into the Six-Eyed Giant’s side.
