143: Information Chip

This kind of notice from Qilin Martial Arts University carries a mandatory attribute.

No matter how your wristband is set, it will forcefully display the notification.

Unless you are not within an Ecological Zone, it will notify you every 5 minutes until you click 'Read'.

This is also to ensure that information can be accurately communicated to everyone.

Chen Du clicked on the information, and there was no content inside, or rather, the title *was* the content.

The specific mission should be announced on-site.

Chen Du understood this; regardless of the mission's size or importance, confidentiality was the top priority.

The only thing that surprised Chen Du was that he was only a freshman.

And he had been enrolled for less than a week.

To broaden the perspective,

let alone himself, even Han Yanji, who ranked first in the class, was a rookie.

There was no difference between her and a new recruit.

Although he had become a Martial Artist, what kind of mission could a mere 10-level Life Strength accomplish?

Wasn't this supposed to be a training phase?

According to school regulations, students could only start taking missions in their sophomore year.

And not all sophomores could take missions.

You had to be an excellent sophomore student with a Life Strength of 15 levels.

That is, you had to be an Advanced Martial Artist.

You had to meet the requirements of being a sophomore and having a Life Strength of 15 levels or more to take missions and earn points.

What was going on now?

However, since the information was issued by Qilin Martial Arts University, it naturally wouldn't be wrong.

Still, some people in the class group were more cautious, posting screenshots to inquire about its authenticity.

After learning that everyone had received this message, Chen Du stopped thinking about it.

He continued his training.

Compared to other matters, an 11-level Life Strength was currently the most important thing for him!

...

First Ecological Zone, Qilin Domain, Teacher City.

The Qilin Domain is one of the seven major domains in the First Ecological Zone, and Qilin Martial Arts University is also called Qilin City.

It is both a university and a core city.

Adjacent to Qilin City is another city, where many Qilin Martial Arts University teachers and their families reside.

Hence, it was named Teacher City.

The two cities are very close, and it only takes thirty minutes to reach one from the other by flying.

In a small villa, You Zhong, who was lying on the small lawn downstairs with his wife and children, basking in the sun,

slowly opened his eyes as his wristband vibrated.

"There's a new mission tomorrow?"

"That shouldn't be right?"

You Zhong looked at his wristband with a puzzled expression, muttering to himself.

Then he started operating on his wristband.

"What's wrong, Daddy?"

A seven-year-old girl asked curiously.

As an energetic and curious child, she hadn't fallen asleep.

She woke up with You Zhong at the first moment and asked sweetly.

"Are you going on a business trip again?"

"It hasn't been 15 days yet, has it?"

A mature female voice came from the side.

Hearing this, You Zhong showed a wry smile and said in a somewhat helpless tone:

"I'm sorry, wife, I also want to spend more time with you and Er Bao."

"I'm a bit confused about what's going on with this mission myself."

"According to regulations, the time interval after returning from a business trip must be greater than 15 days."

"I just asked Peng Fei, and he also received the message."

"It's probably a small mission; it'll be resolved in a bit."

"Daddy, you clearly promised me you'd take me to the toy store tomorrow!"

The little girl pouted; she heard that You Zhong seemed to be leaving tomorrow and showed her displeasure.

You Zhong heard this and smiled as he stroked her head.

"Don't worry, sweetie, Daddy won't break his promise."

"What does 'break his promise' mean?"

The little girl looked at You Zhong with her bright, clear eyes, asking curiously.

"Haha!" You Zhong couldn't help but laugh, thinking, *Why am I using words she doesn't understand when talking to my child?*

"To break your promise means Daddy is taking you to the toy store right now!"

July 16th, 7:50 AM

Beep!

Chen Du activated the door with his wristband and entered Martial Arts Room No. 27.

Because it was his first mission, Chen Du deliberately arrived ten minutes early.

Otherwise, he would definitely arrive one minute early.

In the age of big data, arriving just in time is normal, arriving early is abnormal, and arriving late indicates a problem with one's attitude.

The wristband would predict the arrival time based on your current speed, with an accuracy within 1 second.

Almost no one would be late.

But very few people would arrive early, as everyone's time was precious.

No matter how early you came, no one would praise you.

After Chen Du entered, he found only five students, all classmates from the Qilin Class.

Although they had attended several classes together, they were still not very familiar with each other.

They only knew each other's names and had spoken a few words.

Due to his number, Chen Du would implicitly be a head taller than them.

Therefore, when the five saw Chen Du, they nodded first and greeted him proactively.

Chen Du also nodded in response, secretly cursing himself for being too naive.

*Why did I come so early?*

Ten minutes of training time were just wasted!

Unlike Universal Martial Arts Room No. 99, where Xu Tian taught Chen Du a Second-Order Martial Skill last time,

Martial Arts Room No. 27 was a semi-universal Martial Arts Room.

Universal Martial Arts Room No. 99 could be reserved by anyone.

Whereas Universal Martial Arts Room No. 27 could only be reserved by teachers and above.

Its space was about three times that of Universal Martial Arts Room No. 99.

As for what other differences there were, Chen Du couldn't immediately discern them with the naked eye.

Ten minutes passed quickly, and no one was late.

The last student arrived at 7:57:30.

Everyone chatted in low voices, all curious about this mission.

They wondered who the teacher would be and what kind of mission it would be.

Some were expectant, some were nervous, but more were excited.

As students of an elite class in a top academy, they never feared unknown challenges!

In the last minute, the teachers arrived one after another.

To Chen Du's surprise, six teachers actually came.

He recognized four of them.

They were Peng Fei and You Zhong, whom he first met in Hai City.

And 13, his General Studies teacher, and Karabo, his Life Strength teacher.

There were two others Chen Du didn't recognize: one was a middle-aged man with a long braid.

The other had white hair and a slightly hunched figure; judging by his appearance, he was a little older than middle-aged.

These two stood in the very center, meaning they were either the highest in status or the strongest in power.

The setup seemed quite grand.

*Could the upcoming mission truly be accomplished by this group of rookie Martial Artists and Quasi-Warriors?*

Chen Du pondered secretly.

Exactly 8 o'clock.

"Hello, students. Let me introduce myself first."

"I am Pang Tian Ce, one of the eight Vice-Principals of Qilin Martial Arts University."

"And I am also the initiator of this mission."

Everyone held their breath.

Vice-Principal?

Chen Du had thought all six were teachers, not expecting their status to be so high.

"The one standing to my left is your General Studies teacher, 13. You should be very familiar with him, so I won't introduce him further."

"The one to my right is your senior, he is called 'Xia', an excellent graduate of our school."

"He is also a part of Qilin Martial Arts University, but he does not teach."

Immediately after, he briefly introduced Karabo, who stood to Xia's right, and Peng Fei and You Zhong, who were on the far left and far right.

"According to school regulations, only sophomores who have reached level 15 or above in Life Strength can take missions."

"However, the current situation is severe, so a few of us Vice-Principals discussed it and decided to implement a reform."

"We plan to have the freshmen of the Qilin Class participate in a relatively simple mission."

Pang Tian Ce finished speaking and pointed to the wristband on his wrist.

"Information transmission between Ecological Zones relies on the manual transportation of 'information chips'."

"Various information from the current Ecological Zone is transmitted to other Ecological Zones."

"These personnel are called information couriers."

"Your mission this time is to be divided into groups and follow the six teachers to complete one transportation of an information chip!"
