532: Conditions for becoming a great civilization

Chen Du spent over four days imitating Valkis's speed to travel and execute his subsequent plan.

At this moment, he looked down at the time; it was January 7th, 08:20.

"It's a good thing I didn't encounter any aliens from the Myriad Flowers Civilization during this process."

Chen Du muttered to himself.

Although he had even killed a T1 Rank Yun Que Civilization member, that was outside, in what amounted to an uninhabited area.

But now, he was in the Myriad Flowers Sector, and killing someone here would be like dancing on a grave.

He wouldn't even kill aliens from other Small Civilizations, let alone those from the Myriad Flowers Civilization; the Myriad Flowers Sector was a paradise for plant-based life, and he feared causing a chain reaction.

Safety was paramount.

Bringing Valkis here before killing him was the most likely way to divert the Big Eye Civilization's attention.

It was fortunate that the High Martial Civilization had some understanding of the Big Eye Civilization, which allowed Chen Du to devise this method of guiding their thinking.

In this way, he had muddied the waters, and at least for a short time, they wouldn't shift their attention to the High Martial Civilization.

The lin pearl was temporarily out of reach; Chen Du believed that his actions had, to some extent, also ensured the Golden War Crab Civilization's safety.

Subsequently, whether he found the Black Dragon Creation Pool or not, the Golden War Crab Civilization's Domain Warriors would surely return, making it impossible to obtain the lin pearl under such circumstances.

This way, the lin pearl wouldn't be noticed by the Big Eye Civilization; although he couldn't get it, that was enough.

Moreover, if the lin pearl remained in the Golden War Crab Civilization's hands, the problem wasn't too big.

They were not a Great Civilization after all, and there was a certain distance between them, plus the deterrence of the Golden Wrath Shrimp Civilization, so they couldn't threaten the High Martial Civilization.

As for Yan...

Chen Du believed that he must have had a way to escape the pursuit of the Golden War Crab Civilization's Domain Warriors before he chose to take the lin pearl.

The leader of a Civilization could not act so rashly; he must have had his own plan.

Chen Du believed that his purpose in taking the lin pearl was similar to his own: it could resolve a future hidden danger for a High Martial Civilization and simultaneously increase the strength of his own Geniuses.

After all, it was a Level 5 special spiritual realm; although he didn't know what resources were inside, judging from the Golden War Crab Civilization's cautious attitude, Chen Du guessed that it might even produce a Domain Warrior!

Although Valkis was now dead, he had provided a lot of information about the Myriad Flowers Sector.

First, the Myriad Flowers Sector was indeed entirely composed of plant-based life, with no other aliens.

However, "no other aliens" here meant no non-plant-based life native to the Myriad Flowers Sector.

Because these aliens had all been exterminated by the plant-based life here.

But in the Myriad Flowers Sector, there were some non-plant-based life forms passing through or staying temporarily, like Chen Du.

These temporarily staying aliens, unless they encountered the Myriad Flowers Civilization, would not be attacked by other Small Civilization aliens.

Because they themselves were oppressed by the Myriad Flowers Civilization, it was, to some extent, a case of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend."

The Myriad Flowers Civilization was the overlord of this place; they disliked seeing non-plant-based life, so they naturally killed them on sight.

The reason why there were no native non-plant-based life forms in the Myriad Flowers Sector today was due to the Myriad Flowers Civilization's slaughter.

They were the emperors of this Sector, like rules themselves; what they said went.

Initially, those plant-based life forms were very happy, but later, after the non-plant-based life forms were gone, they despairingly discovered that when the Myriad Flowers Civilization was in a bad mood, they would also kill them, who were also plant-based life forms.

Therefore, these Small Civilizations of plant-based life would not attack foreign aliens; in fact, they would capture some aliens and throw them into the Myriad Flowers Sector, for the purpose of making them their scapegoats.

There was also the location of the Myriad Flowers Civilization's main camps.

They had three main camps; viewed from above, these three main camps connected to form an equilateral triangle, firmly situated in the very center of the Myriad Flowers Sector.

The Myriad Flowers Civilization's aliens were composed of 18 types of plant-based life, including 3 Royal Clans and 15 Pu Clans.

Each of these three main camps was ruled by a Royal Clan.

The three Royal Clans were almost identical in strength, with no one ruling over another, and their status was completely equal.

The 15 Pu Clans below were also similar.

The Myriad Flowers Civilization was a rare alien race where the internal strength of its members was relatively balanced.

This information was not known to Zhou Cheng.

However, this was normal; the High Martial Civilization was, after all, a Small Civilization, and non-plant-based life forms simply couldn't explore the Myriad Flowers Sector.

Zhou Cheng must have obtained the information about a relatively safe location from the Dynasty Civilization.

Chen Du also learned from Valkis the minimum conditions for becoming a Great Civilization.

First, it needed to have at least 50 Domain Warriors.

Second, among them, at least one Domain Warrior must reach Rank 35.

This was also the first time Chen Du had a general understanding of the strength of a Great Civilization.

As for the specific strength of the Big Eye Civilization, how many Domain Warriors it had, the other party truly seemed unaware; Valkis didn't reveal this answer even when he had only one breath left, which was a small regret for Chen Du.

However, this answer also resolved a long-standing confusion for Chen Du.

He believed that it was incredible, from a probabilistic standpoint, that a Great Civilization had not been annihilated after so many years.

Now it seemed that the core reason for this problem was the Rank 35 limit.

Chen Du learned from Huang Cheng that after the Horn War, all Domain Warriors could not exceed Rank 35, not even Rank 35.1.

This led to a situation where everyone's upper limit of strength could not be significantly differentiated, and the overall strength of each Great Civilization could only be determined by the number of Rank 35 Domain Warriors.

Therefore, they dared not go to war; compared to devouring the opponent's resources, their own losses would only be greater.

And the Dynasty Civilization had 99 Domain Warriors!

However, according to the conditions for the establishment of a Great Civilization, the Dynasty Civilization was still not an opponent!

Currently, resources for the Martial Warrior Level were tightly controlled by the Great Civilizations, so it was impossible for the Dynasty Civilization to have Rank 35 Domain Warriors.

What was interesting was that Zhou Cheng had previously said that the Dynasty Civilization was not interested in replacing a Great Civilization, implying that they could replace one.

Chen Du believed that Zhou Cheng should have known this information about the conditions for establishing a Great Civilization, so he was still investigating the true purpose of the Dynasty Civilization.

He probably didn't tell him at the time for fear of discouraging him.

After all, the two conditions of at least 50 Domain Warriors and at least one Rank 35 Domain Warrior were too daunting.

However, Chen Du would not be intimidated; the training in the Crystal Space had long cultivated Chen Du into someone who could turn any setback into motivation for his progress!

Then, Chen Du looked at the treasure map in his hand.

To prevent the loss of the treasure map or other accidents, Chen Du had already fully memorized and photographed its contents.

In his opinion, the only remaining use of this item should be its role as the so-called key to the Black Dragon Creation Pool.

Taking it out again now was just to take one last look and make a final confirmation.

"Hmm?"

"This is..."

However, just as Chen Du took out the treasure map, he was surprised to find that the content on the treasure map had changed at that very moment!
