65: Leaving the Seventh Ecosphere

The plane's speed wasn't particularly fast; the instrument panel showed 224 meters/second, roughly two-thirds the speed of sound.

"Chen Du, if they want to test your Martial Skill later, just show the level of a first-tier mid-stage Martial Artist," Ling Yun, who was sitting in the back, said, looking at Chen Du, who was enjoying the low-altitude scenery to his left.

"Oh, okay," Chen Du replied, his expression unchanged. Did he still need to hide his strength?

But he didn't ask further.

Ya Die, in the co-pilot's seat, noticed Chen Du's confusion and spoke, "Chen Du, what do you consider a Mental Energy Martial Artist?"

"A Mental Energy Rank greater than their Life Strength Rank should be a Mental Energy Martial Artist, right?" Chen Du answered. Ya Die had briefly introduced it when she mentioned she was a Mental Energy Martial Artist during class.

Ya Die nodded, "On the surface, yes, but in reality, Mental Energy Martial Artists generally don't have high Martial Skill levels."

"Because their primary combat method is to use Mental Energy for assistance; they are Martial Artists who rely on teammates."

"Only those with insufficient Martial Skill and Life Strength talent, yet strong Mental Energy, become Mental Energy Martial Artists."

"Mental Energy is like language subjects in the old era; combined with anything, it's a winning hand, but on its own, it's useless!"

"Don't swear in front of students!" Li Mu, in the driver's seat, reminded her, then comforted Chen Du, "Don't worry, Chen Du. It's not that strict now; it's all device detection. Just meeting Rank 10 Mental Energy is enough."

Two hours later, the four arrived at Border City No. 56.

True to its name, this was a city located on the edge of the Seventh Ecological Circle.

It was also the only city name in the Seventh Ecological Circle that could be reused.

There were 56 Border City numbers, corresponding to 56 entrances and exits to the Seventh Ecological Circle.

Border City No. 56 was the closest Border City to Liang City, approximately 1600 kilometers away.

Border City was different from all other cities; it was a city without schools.

And 50% of all Martial Artists within the entire Ecological Circle were permanently stationed in Border City!

In terms of combat power alone, every Border City could rival the core cities within the Seventh Ecological Circle!

One must know that a core city represented the strongest city in a Domain!

Even a prosperous city like Hai City was merely a central city.

There were only seven such cities in the entire Seventh Ecological Circle!

This seemingly somewhat dilapidated Border City No. 56, whose prosperity was even less than Liang City's,

possessed combat power comparable to Cyber City, the core city of the Giant Bear Domain where Chen Du resided!

......

The plane stopped at a nearby parking spot, not far from the entrance/exit.

Before departure, Li Mu had already locked the parking spot with his wristband, so there was no issue of not having a place to park.

The four didn't linger; after disembarking, they headed towards the entrance/exit.

Perhaps wanting Chen Du to see more of the scenery along the way, the three walked slowly.

Many factories could be seen on the street, and products from numerous large companies seemed to be manufactured here.

As the bustling crowd passed by, Chen Du could vaguely sense their power through his Martial Soul.

Martial Artists!

These people were all Martial Artists!

Unlike Liang City, the proportion of Martial Artists here was very high.

Although the population wasn't large, 80% here were Martial Artists!

In contrast, the proportion of Martial Artists in Liang City or most other cities was about 20%.

This data was from last year, but it hardly changed annually. As a Liberal Arts exam knowledge point, Chen Du naturally knew it.

Martial Arts, like sailing against the current, if you don't advance, you retreat!

If one became a Martial Artist and didn't maintain training for a long time, their Life Strength would decrease with age.

Chen Du's father, Chen Juncai, was once a Martial Artist, but later suffered an injury, and his Life Strength hardly increased, so he withdrew from the Martial Artist profession.

Later, as time passed, his Life Strength slowly faded, and now the person with the highest Life Strength in the family was Chen Du!

Soon, the four arrived in front of a hundred-meter-high Wall.

"Wall of Hope..." Chen Du murmured.

This was his first time seeing this Wall in reality.

The Wall of Hope was not for defense; its actual meaning was equivalent to a lighthouse at sea.

Blue Star was very large!

Humans were no longer the overlords of the old era; some functions of the wristband would be lost once outside the Wall.

This included positioning; you could only locate people nearby who also carried wristbands.

The reason the Wall of Hope was built so high was in hopes that lost humans could see it.

It was like a lighthouse at sea, guiding your direction.

The 56 Walls of Hope symbolized 56 doorways home.

Behind the Wall was humanity's home, High Martial Civilization!

It was the place where the flame of humanity was born and continued!

Looking at the huge tunnel below the high Wall, Chen Du knew this was the so-called entrance/exit!

Light could vaguely be seen from outside the tunnel, indicating it wasn't very long.

At this moment, Chen Du couldn't help but feel a little excited.

Was he going out soon?

According to the textbooks, outside the Ecological Circle was where High Martial Civilization and Alien Civilization fought!

"Chen Du, it's your first time leaving the circle, so you need to be tested."

Li Mu pointed to a device in front of them: "Just place your palm on it; it can detect automatically."

Chen Du did as he was told.

Beep! Beep! Beep!

The device made an abnormal sound and flashed red light.

At this moment, a man responsible for checking the entrance/exit walked over upon hearing the sound, looking at the "Rank 5.9" displayed.

He frowned:

"What are you four doing?"

"If you're not Rank 10, don't loiter here!"

Seeing this, Li Mu's face rarely showed surprise; the detection equipment at Border City No. 56 should theoretically be the most advanced.

How could it not detect Mental Energy?

Was it still an old model?

"Excuse me, he is a Mental Energy Martial Artist, but this device doesn't seem to have the function to detect Mental Energy," Li Mu said politely, pointing at Chen Du.

"Equipment that can check Mental Energy is very expensive; there are only two in total, over there." He then pointed in a direction, looked at Chen Du, paused, and said, "Never mind, don't bother walking over there. You're a Mental Energy Martial Artist, right? Just use your Martial Soul to attach; I'll check with my naked eye."

Yu Hui, with a buzz cut and a scar on his left arm.

Chen Du instinctively glanced at the name on the man's chest tag.

To the left of the name was an upward arrow, the Limit Martial Hall's LOGO.

This was the closest place to Alien Civilization, and the Limit Martial Hall was the first unit to resist Aliens.

It was not strange for their staff to be responsible for managing passage in and out.

Immediately, without another word, he performed Martial Soul attachment.

Yu Hui looked at Chen Du, who was glowing blue, and nodded. Then, after entering a password into the device in front of him, he performed some operations.

"What's your name?"

"Chen Du."

"Alright, the information has been entered, and the number of people meets the conditions for leaving. You can go out now."

Chen Du and the other three nodded their thanks and left.

Yu Hui watched the four disappear, his gaze fixed on Chen Du.

"Liangcheng No. 1 High School? Never heard of it."

"A bit interesting. An unknown small high school actually produced such a talent."

"What kind of nonsense Mental Energy Martial Artist!"

"Such strong Sword Intent at this age!"

"But it doesn't matter," Yu Hui said, then shifted his gaze to Ling Yun, "With such a strong Martial Artist accompanying him, there shouldn't be any problems."

......

The tunnel, as Chen Du expected, was not long, only a hundred meters.

Ling Yun walked at the very front, and the four stepped out of the tunnel together.

It was 19:42, just beginning to get dark, and the red sunset shone through the gaps in his fingers onto Chen Du's not yet fully mature face.

"Is this... outside the Seventh Ecological Circle?" Chen Du, stepping out of the Seventh Ecological Circle for the first time, looked curiously at the scenery before him and murmured.
