428: Forest of eternal sleep

"4 points, these five people all have 4 points."

"Yes, now we just have to see who will get 5 points first!"

The top five contestants having the same score didn't surprise the audience at all.

Now, everyone was anticipating the first contestant to reach 5 points.

Although 5 points and 4 points only differed by one point, the gap was significant.

A contestant with 5 points meant that he had won in a clash between top five VS top five contestants.

This difficulty was much harder to achieve than the current 4 points. One must know that the top five lineup consisted of one Prophets Student and four dark horses.

Even if some people were verbally dismissed as not good enough, none of them were weak.

The completed match screens would gradually close to reduce visual pressure on everyone.

Currently, the battles on screen were divided into two parts: one was the top five VS top five battles.

The other was the 1V1 among the four people who contributed 4 points.

However, no one was watching the latter matches; the audience's attention was all on the top five.

Initially, the most watched battlefield was Chen Du VS Qing Ti, but both were very cautious and testing each other, trying to wear down the opponent first.

Although both made the most correct choices, the match screen was indeed a bit boring, and the audience's gaze gradually left, wandering among other battlefields.

The strength gap among the top five contestants was relatively small, so it naturally wouldn't be decided quickly.

Time passed by minute by minute.

The ranking on the leaderboard, which had been unchanged, suddenly shifted.

First place: Source Water Territory, Withered Tree Civilization, Qing Ti, points: 5 points.

Second place: Gloomy Land, Shushu Civilization, Wu La, points: 4 points.

Third place: Golden Body Territory, Card Civilization, Misaya, points: 4 points.

Fourth place: Taiji Bahuang Territory, Liangyi Civilization, Zhu Sanfeng, points: 4 points.

Fifth place: Beacon Fire Territory, Burned Out Civilization, Brand, points: 4 points.

"5 points, the first 5 points appeared!"

"I thought the first 5 points would still be Wu La, but I didn't expect it to be Qing Ti from Withered Tree Civilization."

"He defeated Misaya from Card Civilization!"

"As expected of a civilization that makes it into the top ten every year, in some aspects, it has never disappointed!"

"Withered Tree Civilization's fighting style is not the quick-victory type, yet he still secured victory first. Does this mean he is the strongest among the five?"

...In the Mirror Corridor, Chen Du's Clone was clashing with Misaya from Card Civilization.

Due to time and location, Chen Du had not watched Misaya's match in person. The opponent came up empty-handed, but unexpectedly, he was a long-range attack type.

Misaya did not use a Mystic Treasure, which should be a civilization-specific racial talent. The opponent could conjure three different colored cards out of thin air, without limit.

They were red, yellow, and blue cards.

Red cards slowed, yellow cards immobilized, and blue cards restored his stamina.

The opponent's proficiency was very high. The three colored cards were used in combination, constantly hindering Chen Du.

Chen Du had never encountered this ability before. To be honest, someone with similar strength to Misaya would truly be unable to defeat him; they would be exhausted to death by his cards.

Fortunately, Chen Du's strength was greater than the opponent's. The long whip in his hand was like a sharp blade cutting through thorns, constantly shattering the opponent's cards and closing the distance. Once the distance reached a certain point, it would be the moment of Chen Du's victory...

"5 points! Wu La also has 5 points; he also defeated Misaya from Card Civilization. Now both have the same score."

Misaya, defeated by two people, would only have a chance to enter the top three if he defeated the other two, thus reaching six points.

But unfortunately, this was just a beautiful hypothesis.

As time passed, Misaya, as expected, was successively defeated by Zhu Sanfeng and Brand, completely missing out on the top three.

His 4 points, like his title of being in the top ten, remained unmoving, as stable as a mountain.

"6 points! Qing Ti has 6 points!"

"He's ahead again!"

"Moreover, he eliminated the only Prophets Student, Zhu Sanfeng!"

"Qing Ti is so amazing, I feel like he's really going to win the championship!"

"Yes, one step fast, every step fast. This is definitely a manifestation of strength!"

"Exactly! The Enlightenment Pool's ranking is ultimately a reference ranking. Now it seems that the strongest contestant this year isn't Wu La, but Qing Ti!"

No sooner had the words fallen than Chen Du's ranking also reached 6 points, temporarily placing him second, and he too had defeated Zhu Sanfeng.

"It's over! BBQ!"

"Could it be that this time the Prophets Student really won't make it into the top three?"

A civilization with a wide-open mouth, perhaps having been blessed, had no sooner spoken than Brand's points increased by 1, reaching 6 points.

He too had defeated Zhu Sanfeng!

At this moment, although the match was not yet over, Zhu Sanfeng, as the only Prophets Student, had already secured the fourth-place spot, his points remaining at 5.

After a subsequent great battle, Chen Du and Qing Ti each defeated Brand.

However, this time Qing Ti was still the first to win, so his ranking remained ahead of Chen Du.

First place: Source Water Territory, Withered Tree Civilization, Qing Ti, points: 7 points.

Second place: Gloomy Land, Shushu Civilization, Wu La, points: 7 points.

Third place: Beacon Fire Territory, Burned Out Civilization, Brand, points: 6 points.

Fourth place: Taiji Bahuang Territory, Liangyi Civilization, Zhu Sanfeng, points: 5 points.

Fifth place: Golden Body Territory, Card Civilization, Misaya, points: 4 points.

The rankings of the top five, except for the top two, were completely set.

"Don't even mention it, the Enlightenment Pool's reference ranking is quite accurate. As for the top five, if Wu La wins against Qing Ti, it would be exactly the same. Even if he doesn't win, the overall difference isn't huge."

"You just said that the Enlightenment Pool's ranking is ultimately a reference ranking!"

"Did I? I don't remember that."

"Yes! I recorded it with a recording stone; I know you too well."

"..."

"This Wu La is truly a Prodigy. I thought his Martial Skill level of Entrance to the Microscopic 25% was his limit, but I didn't expect him to be able to improve further. Now he's at Entrance to the Microscopic 27%!"

"Is this still a Martial Artist?"

"This Martial Skill level has reached the standard of an Advanced Sky Soaring Warrior, hasn't it?"

"Truly a monster!"

As time passed, Chen Du's Martial Skill level also became known to the audience.

However, Qing Ti's Martial Skill level was also terrifying, reaching Entrance to the Microscopic 24%!

Although there was a 3% difference from Chen Du, as long as it didn't exceed Entrance to the Microscopic 30%, this gap wouldn't be very large. Coupled with Withered Tree Civilization's exclusive talent,

his body naturally came with a suit of armor, making the two almost equal in strength... Inside the Mirror Corridor.

The battleground where Chen Du and Qing Ti fought suddenly began to shake.

A large, snow-white tree slowly emerged from the Underground, and it continued, two trees... three trees...

"This is..." Chen Du murmured.

"After accumulating power for so long, has it finally grown out?" Qing Ti said, his voice inexplicably a few shades older.

More noticeable than his voice was his state. On Qing Ti's head, there was originally a small tuft of green grass, which was his hair.

Now, half of that small tuft of green grass had turned white.

"It's over, Wu La, I won." Qing Ti smiled, his voice weary yet confident.

"This is our Withered Tree Civilization's strongest forbidden technique, 'Forest of Eternal Sleep'!"

"To make me use this move, you are worthy of pride!"

"By paying half of my Life Strength as the price, I can make the enemy permanently lost in sleep!"

"This move has a very long preparation time, but once cast, creatures with similar Life Strength Rank simply cannot resist!"

"The match rules state no killing, but sleep doesn't count. Moreover, later our civilization's Sky Soaring Warriors will help you remove this state, so I'm not violating the rules."

"As for why I'm fighting so hard, it's because..."

"I am a Clone!"
