102: Chapter 102 Handover and Support

Costume and makeup fittings involved selecting from hundreds or even thousands of outfits, making it incredibly busy. Chen Hao didn't want to interfere with the work, so he wandered off to explore elsewhere.

Green screens were being set up, and with the floor crew, lighting, and props teams, hundreds of people were all busy. Only Chen Hao had nothing to do. He walked over to an area covered in papers, where several bespectacled screenwriters were having a heated discussion about the script.

Since Chen Hao was also planning to get involved in filming short dramas, he listened curiously for a while. He even picked up a discarded draft from the floor and looked it over.

"So this is what a script format looks like. I've learned something new."

An impulsive Production Screenwriter was about to snap at Chen Hao, but someone pulled him back.

"Are you crazy? Didn't you hear? Even the Assistant Director got kicked out. This guy is from the investor's side."

"Oh."

The Production Screenwriter pulled back his stubborn neck and sat down obediently, not daring to make a sound.

Chen Hao stepped forward curiously to ask.

"Screenwriter Teachers, let me ask you something."

"Please, go ahead."

The screenwriters didn't dare to be arrogant; they answered honestly and respectfully.

Chen Hao asked specific questions about screenwriters and scripts, mainly because he wanted to find a few writers for short dramas.

"About that, asking us is useless. You can find plenty of failed online web novel writers; they're everywhere. You can easily get a short drama script for ten or twenty thousand yuan."

"Do you know any outsourcing groups? Introduce me, and I'll pay a referral fee."

They looked at each other, and one of the screenwriters took out his phone and gave Chen Hao a group number.

"Thanks, I'll transfer some money to you."

"No need, it's just a small favor."

Chen Hao casually sent him a red envelope of 18,800 yuan. It wasn't a lot of money, but it was for good luck.

It was already past 10 PM, but the writers' group was still buzzing. Most web novel writers are night owls, staying up late to vent about various things in the group.

Chen Hao watched for a while and then posted an ad, mainly looking to buy short drama scripts.

Many people sent private messages asking about prices and genres; some even sent five-episode samples.

Chen Hao answered their questions one by one. But the writers were too talkative, constantly pressing for more information. Dealing with several girlfriends at once wasn't even as annoying as dealing with these writers.

Before he knew it, it was past 11 PM. Zhao Yifei had finished her costume fitting and signaled to Chen Hao that they could leave.

As Chen Hao stopped the private chats, he sighed to himself, thinking he definitely needed to find a professional to handle script acquisitions later.

He and Zhao Yifei left the production warehouse one after the other and boarded one of the motorhomes. Chen Hao asked.

"Are you staying in the motorhome tonight?"

Zhao Yifei took a sip of water.

"How could I? I'm staying at a hotel. The motorhome is for resting during filming."

After putting down the mineral water, she took out a kraft paper envelope from a drawer.

"This is what you wanted. See if anything is missing?"

Chen Hao opened it and checked each item, then asked in confusion.

"The offshore company is registered in Dubai?"

She said calmly.

"A friend of mine happened to be traveling in Dubai, so I had her register it there. Is that not okay?"

"It works. It's exactly what I wanted."

Chen Hao checked the offshore accounts; basically, only the last step was missing.

Chen Hao pushed the authorization agreement in front of her.

"Sign and leave a thumbprint. That way, it'll be legitimate when I help you make money."

She spoke while signing.

"Don't you dare screw me over."

Chen Hao said calmly.

"You're the one who printed the authorization agreement, and you know the contents. How could I screw you over?"

She took out some lipstick, smeared it on her thumb, and pressed it onto the signature line. She sighed.

"I feel like I'm signing an indenture contract."

Chen Hao said half-jokingly.

"If you're going to put it like that, since we only have a verbal agreement, do we need to sign a contract for that too?"

She was a bit dazed and asked with wide eyes.

"What verbal agreement?"

"I help you complete the gambling agreement, and you become my female slave."

She quickly changed her tune.

"I was just joking at the time. Why are you taking it seriously?"

Chen Hao flicked her chin.

"I did take it seriously. Otherwise, why would I help you earn billions?"

She pouted and muttered.

"Fine, but I'm not signing that kind of agreement."

Chen Hao put all the documents back into the kraft paper bag.

"Even if you signed it, it would be useless. The law wouldn't recognize it, so it can only be a verbal agreement."

She asked affectionately.

"Do you have any plans later? I have my first scene tomorrow morning, so I can't stay with you very late."

She was somewhat expectant, yet also somewhat resistant.

Chen Hao knew what she meant. Even if he stayed with her and something happened, it would have to be resolved quickly.

With Chen Hao's current stamina, he didn't believe he was a quick-shot.

"I have other things to do tonight. You should rest. I won't disturb you."

Chen Hao got out of the car and walked straight toward the production warehouse. She stood at the door and asked.

"Are you going to find Zhu Shasha? She'll probably be busy until very late too."

Chen Hao waved his hand.

"It's fine. By the time I get back, she'll be almost finished."

When Chen Hao walked back, almost only a few actors were still busy, and Zhu Shasha was one of them.

"Director Zhang!"

Chen Hao shouted loudly, attracting everyone's attention.

Director Zhang came jogging over.

"Mr. Chen, what are your orders?"

Chen Hao pointed at Zhu Shasha.

"It's getting late. Can you arrange for more hands? Let's speed this up."

Without a word, Director Zhang kept everyone who was about to finish work.

"Go help out, quickly! Don't just stand there!"

The makeup artists and stylists were forced to work overtime, all gathering around Zhu Shasha to help her speed up the process.

One of the makeup artists asked Zhu Shasha in confusion.

"Who is this guy? His words are so effective that even Director Zhang follows his lead?"

Zhu Shasha casually revealed.

"The investor. Party A."

Rumors had already been flying that Zhu Shasha had snatched Yu Yaowei's role because she knew the investor. It seemed the rumors weren't groundless.

"Seeing how he's helping you, your relationship must be something special, right?"

Still testing the waters, Zhu Shasha didn't hide anything and spoke bluntly.

"He's my Financial Backer. What kind of relationship do you think we have?"

The crew members understood instantly. Although forcing someone into a production was quite contemptible, it had to be said that a film set was a place where people were treated based on their status.

From then on, they helped Zhu Shasha with all their heart, not daring to be arrogant or sloppy.

If the investor hadn't shown up today or spoken up for Zhu Shasha, she would still be that dispensable nobody, and no one would have cared.

But now, everything was different.

Around 1 AM.

Zhu Shasha's costume fitting was completely finished. She changed into her own clothes, thanked the crew, and walked toward Chen Hao. She directly took his arm and said with a smile.

"Let's go. Sorry for the long wait."

Chen Hao asked in return.

"Do you start filming tomorrow?"

"No, my scenes start the day after tomorrow."

"Then I'm relieved."

She asked in confusion.

"What do you mean?"

Chen Hao spoke bluntly.

"I was afraid I'd be too vigorous and you wouldn't be able to get out of bed tomorrow. What would we do then?"

"You're so annoying."
