19: Chapter 19 Let's beat him up first to vent our anger.

There is a very strange phenomenon among white-collar workers in the city: they post on Moments when they eat, and post on Moments when they shop, as if they couldn't survive without posting on Moments.

Chen Hao intended to proactively find Wang Kaiming. Although he didn't know where he was right now, it wouldn't be difficult to locate him through his Moments posts.

Besides, based on Chen Hao's understanding of Lin Xiaomeng's personality, if the two were conspiring, she would definitely be with Wang Kaiming right now.

"COCO Bar!"

Lin Xiaomeng's Moments posts and Douyin videos were actually filmed in a decadent nightclub. Finding one would lead to the other.

"Wang Kaiming, let's see where you can run now!"

...

COCO Bar was a relatively common nightclub in Jiangcheng.

It was famous for its affordable prices, attracting many college students who came to indulge in pleasure every night.

Outside the bar entrance, traffic was heavy, and luxury cars were gathered everywhere.

On the sidewalk, designated drivers on electric scooters could be seen everywhere, either chatting in small groups or holding their phones, constantly ready to take an order.

One of the designated drivers had just accepted a fare. He looked at the crisscrossing vehicles in the parking lot and negotiated with a bar staff member.

"Excuse me, please notify the owner of the BMW 747J to come out and move the car. Thank you."

The staff member entered the brightly lit, dazzling bar. Amidst the noisy music, he walked straight to the VIP card counter.

At that moment, Wang Kaiming was leaning on the shoulders of a shady character covered in dragon tattoos, acting like sworn brothers.

"Brother Hu, look how you beat me up; I look like a panda now!"

"Don't worry, little brother. As long as the money is in place, I guarantee I'll break one of his legs at a discount."

"Classy. Let's drink."

As the two clinked glasses, the staff member called out softly.

"Boss Wang."

Wang Kaiming glanced disdainfully at the staff member and asked irritably.

"What do you want now?"

"Please go out and move your car."

"Wait."

Wang Kaiming instinctively scanned the entire venue, trying to find Lin Xiaomeng, who was wildly dancing, in the crazy crowd.

But there were too many people; he couldn't see her at all.

Wang Kaiming had no choice but to go move the car himself. Humming a little tune, he walked out of the noisy nightclub and headed straight for the pitch-black parking lot.

He took out the car keys, and the BMW beeped twice.

Just as he grabbed the door handle, he felt a chill down the back of his neck and instinctively shivered.

Then, he felt a powerful force as someone grabbed his head and slammed it hard against the car frame.

"Thud"

After a dull thud, Wang Kaiming immediately saw stars and lost consciousness on the spot.

After successfully ambushing him, Chen Hao looked around to make sure no one saw him. To ensure everything was foolproof, Chen Hao tossed the unconscious Wang Kaiming into the car as if carrying a little chick, closed the door, and then proceeded to punch and kick him.

"For making me wear a green hat!"

"For being so arrogant!"

"For hiring thugs to beat me!"

Chen Hao violently vented all the anger from their breakup using his fists, releasing everything in one go.

It felt incredibly satisfying.

Only when there wasn't a single good spot left on Wang Kaiming's body did Chen Hao dust off his hands, get out of the BMW, put on his baseball cap, and leave, disappearing into the pitch-black night.

About 30 minutes later.

Lin Xiaomeng and the thug Brother Hu, having not seen Wang Kaiming return for a long time, thought he had skipped out on the bill. They came out cursing to look for him.

They reached the parking lot, saw the BMW hadn't left, but Wang Kaiming was nowhere in sight. Lin Xiaomeng anxiously took out her phone, muttering repeatedly.

"Pick up the phone quickly! Tonight's bill was over 18,000. I can't afford it..."

"Shh, don't be loud."

Brother Hu looked around, finally glancing toward the BMW. The two approached the car window and took a closer look.

"Ah!"

Soon after, an ambulance and police cars arrived.

...

After venting, Chen Hao returned to the restaurant humming a little tune. Sun Nana was almost asleep.

"You took so long, I thought you fell into the toilet!"

Chen Hao smiled and said.

"Let's go, I'll take you to see a movie!"

Sun Nana frowned, stood up, and asked.

"No good deed goes unpunished. What are your intentions?"

People skilled in sales were indeed sharp-witted, almost seeing through Chen Hao's transparent intentions.

"What intentions could I have? I just want to go to the movies with you."

Sun Nana didn't press the issue. After leaving the restaurant with Chen Hao, they found a nearby cinema and bought tickets for a midnight screening.

There weren't many people in the theater. Most people watching the midnight showing were couples, sitting close together, being affectionate in the dim environment.

Occasionally, the sound of kissing could be heard from nearby.

Sun Nana wasn't paying attention to the movie. She kept turning to look back, then looked at the thoughtful Chen Hao, thinking, 'Is he really here to watch a movie?'

Chen Hao wasn't interested in the movie; he was waiting, waiting for the police to show up.

By the time the movie ended and the audience dispersed, the police still hadn't arrived.

Chen Hao felt like he had prepared for nothing.

"Ah~"

Sun Nana yawned, hooked her arm through Chen Hao's, and left the cinema, looking affectionately at him.

"Brother Hao, it's already past midnight. Do you have any other plans? Why don't we go get a room at a hotel..."

The more she spoke, the quieter her voice became. The last few words were as faint as a mosquito's buzz; even Sun Nana didn't know what she had said.

"Jingle-jingle."

Just then, his phone rang.

"Wait a moment."

Chen Hao answered the call. It was the police station asking him to come down to assist with an investigation.

He had waited all night; they finally called.

After hanging up, Chen Hao stated plainly.

"Nana, will you come with me to the police station?"

"Huh?"

Sun Nana was a bit confused. According to normal development, after dinner and a movie, shouldn't they naturally go get a room? What was the meaning of going to the police station?

Unexpectedly, Chen Hao didn't explain at all. He pulled Sun Nana, who seemed like a marionette, hailed a cab, and rushed straight to the police station.

After explaining the situation, the Police Officer took Chen Hao alone to the interrogation room and asked him where he had been tonight and what he had done.

Chen Hao recounted everything truthfully: dinner, watching a movie, and so on, even producing the receipt from the dinner and the stubs from the movie tickets.

The Police Officer routinely questioned Sun Nana. She was sleepy and answered whatever she was asked, subconsciously overlooking the half-hour Chen Hao was gone in the middle of the night. Given her gossipy nature, she repeatedly asked what had happened.

The Police Officer was not authorized to disclose details. Confirming that the two had been together the entire night cleared Chen Hao of suspicion.

Just like that, when the two left the police station, it was already past four in the morning.

Sun Nana yawned and grumbled irritably.

"So inexplicable, what was all that about?"

Chen Hao felt incredibly relieved that his wicked plan had succeeded. He smiled and said.

"I have to help a friend discuss renovations today. You still have work tomorrow, so I'll take you home."

"No need, I'll just take a cab back myself."

Just as Sun Nana was about to leave, she turned back and gave Chen Hao a knowing look.

"Next time you ask me out, don't make it so complicated. As a man, you should be bolder."

Chen Hao waved his hand.

"Hurry up and go!"
