After a crisp sound, the conference room door was pushed open.
Three figures filed in.
Leading the way was a woman around thirty years old.
She had neat short hair, wore frameless glasses, possessed sharp eyes, and exuded an elite aura that warned others to keep their distance.
Behind her followed a similarly capable young woman.
And a refined-looking man wearing gold-rimmed glasses.
The three walked behind Li Wei and bowed in unison.
“Chairman.”
Li Wei nodded and introduced them to the stunned directors.
“Allow me to introduce you. These three are Yinshan Capital's top analyst team.”
He pointed at the short-haired woman leading the group.
“This is Zhao Anqi, who holds dual PhDs in Finance and Psychology from Harvard Business School.
She is the former Chief M&A Consultant for Goldman Sachs Asia.
The hostile takeover of the Dongchen Group in Sakura Country, which she spearheaded last year, has been written into the textbooks of Harvard Business School.”
The directors present gasped.
They had heard about the Dongchen Group case.
That was a breathtaking capital execution battle; they never expected the mastermind to be this young-looking woman standing before them.
Zhao Anqi nodded slightly to the crowd as a greeting, then opened her laptop and projected the screen onto the large display.
“Good afternoon, Directors.
Per the Boss's instructions, our team customized a 'Phoenix Project' specifically for the Murong Group while en route.”
Her voice was calm and professional, devoid of emotion.
“The core of the Phoenix Project involves three steps, to be executed after Yinshan Capital injects the first batch of funds.”
“Step one: Debt Restructuring and Asset Stripping.
We will...”
Zhao Anqi began an endless explanation, using specialized financial jargon and data models that left the directors utterly bewildered.
But they could feel it.
This plan was professional, rigorous, and highly feasible.
After Zhao Anqi finished, the female analyst behind her immediately took over.
“I am Sun Rui from the Project Evaluation Team.
After completing the first step, we will focus on supporting the three core businesses under the Group.
First is high-end jewelry customization. We will...”
Finally, the man with the gold-rimmed glasses stepped forward.
“I am Lewis from the Market Strategy and Public Relations Team.
While restructuring products and channels, we will launch the 'New Star Project.' We will invite international superstar Miss Yang Mi to serve as the Group's global brand spokesperson.
Concurrently, we will jointly purchase the naming rights for one of the landmark Twin Towers in the Shen City CBD.
And rename it the 'Murong Center'.
Creating a brand new commercial complex integrating luxury goods, high-end dining, and art exhibitions...”
The barrage from the three analysts was like three heavy punches, completely shattering the directors' last shred of doubt.
This wasn't just capital injection.
This was practically showing up with a money printer, complete with a full set of top-tier operators and market plans!
Everyone looked at Li Wei as if he were a deity.
Li Wei spread his hands and flashed a brilliant smile at Murong Yunhai, whose face was ashen.
“Now, does anyone still doubt her capabilities?”
“I'll add one more thing: all the plans they just mentioned will be fully led by Murong Wan. Yinshan Capital will only be responsible for funding and providing technical support.”
“Now, do you understand?”
“If you understand, you can vote!”
What was there left to vote on?
Nobody could save the Group except Li Wei.
And Li Wei wouldn't save anyone except Murong Wan.
Murong Yunhai slumped back into his chair.
He knew he couldn't possibly compete with his great niece.
“I... agree.”
He painfully uttered the three words.
With him taking the lead, the remaining directors immediately scrambled to raise their hands.
“Agreed!”
“I agree!”
“Unanimously passed!”
As the last director raised his hand, this meeting concerning the future destiny of the Tianhao Group finally settled.
Murong Wan.
After a decade-long absence, she reclaimed everything belonging to the Murong Family in a way no one had anticipated.
Chen Xi immediately distributed the pre-prepared appointment and removal documents for the directors to sign.
The entire process flowed smoothly and naturally.
Li Wei watched the woman sitting upright beside him, signing her name on the documents, and felt a sense of relief.
From the Abandoned Factory in the Western Suburbs to today's board meeting, the great net woven for Lin Tianhao could finally be hauled in.
Murong Wan signed the last document and slowly stood up.
She did not walk toward the Chairman's seat, which symbolized supreme authority, but instead walked up to Li Wei.
Under everyone's complex gaze, she bowed deeply to Li Wei.
There were no words.
But that look, that single action, spoke volumes.
Li Wei accepted her bow gracefully, reached out to help her up, and said with a smile.
“Go now, take your seat.
Starting today, you are the mistress of this place.”
Murong Wan nodded, no longer hesitating, and turned to walk toward the long-vacant mahogany chair.
The moment she sat down, sunlight streamed through the massive floor-to-ceiling windows, coating her in a golden halo, like a queen being crowned.
Li Wei watched this scene, a sense of satisfaction welling up inside him.
The sense of accomplishment from personally placing a woman who had clawed her way out of the abyss back onto the throne was far more exhilarating than simply making money.
However, for some reason, a faint, lingering unease persisted deep in his heart.
It was like completing a perfect jigsaw puzzle, yet feeling that one piece was misplaced, though he couldn't pinpoint what was wrong.
Subconsciously, he took two steps and approached the massive floor-to-ceiling glass window.
Outside the window, the sky was clear, traffic flowed heavily, and everything seemed normal.
Maybe he was overthinking things.
He shook his head, preparing to leave and hand the remaining matters over to Murong Wan and Chen Xi.
But just as he stood up.
BOOM—!!!
A colossal impact sound, muffled yet intense enough to tear eardrums, suddenly erupted from beneath the skyscraper!
The entire floor shook violently.
The crystal chandelier above the conference room swung, emitting a harsh clattering sound. Several crystal pendants, unable to withstand the force, shattered and crashed onto the mahogany conference table.
“Ah!”
“What's going on?!”
“Was that an earthquake?!”
The conference room instantly descended into chaos. The directors, who had just relaxed, turned pale with fright, screaming and scrambling for cover. Some even dove directly under the table.
Li Wei's pupils abruptly contracted, and the unease in his heart was magnified infinitely at this moment.
He darted forward again toward the floor-to-ceiling window and looked down.
After just one glance, his expression completely darkened.
The plaza below the skyscraper was a wreck.
A massive red semi-trailer heavy truck, like an out-of-control steel beast, was firmly wedged against a white ambulance with a look of absolute determination.
It was clearly the ambulance dispatched by the Police Officer.
It had been shoved sideways for dozens of meters; its body was severely deformed, glass lay shattered everywhere, and its red and blue warning lights flashed fruitlessly.
Several Police Officers who had just escorted Lin Tianhao downstairs were thrown to the ground by the massive shockwave.
One of them lay motionless in a pool of blood, his fate unknown.
