Yang Weiwei is incredible
Qin Xue bit her lip.
She didn't know why she had such thoughts.
Logically, after the last incident of workplace bullying, she should have closed her heart and sworn off men.
She had completely lost faith in men.
But when facing Li Wei, she found herself unable to control her feelings.
Just then, Yang Weiwei walked in carrying a glass of water.
"Sister Qin Xue, have some water."
Qin Xue quickly turned around.
A smile appeared on her face.
"Thank you."
She took the glass.
She took a sip.
Yang Weiwei looked at her.
"Sister Qin Xue, you don't look so good."
She paused.
"Are you too tired?"
Qin Xue shook her head.
"Yeah, I've been at the hospital these past few days, so I'm probably just tired."
Yang Weiwei nodded.
"Then you should get some rest early."
She paused.
"If you need anything, just call me. I'm right next door."
Qin Xue smiled.
"Okay."
Yang Weiwei walked out of the room.
She closed the door.
Qin Xue sat on the edge of the bed.
She looked at the night view outside the window.
Her mind was in a mess.
Too much had happened today.
The Studio had been trashed.
The rumors in the group chat.
And Li Wei's promise to her.
Especially that line, "I will solve it."
It caused ripples in her heart.
Qin Xue closed her eyes.
She took a deep breath.
She told herself,
Don't think too much.
Li Wei was just helping her.
Nothing more.
Besides, he already had a girlfriend.
And it was her own good friend.
Yet, the feeling of loss in her heart just wouldn't go away.
Yang Weiwei walked out of the guest room and closed the door.
She turned and walked toward the stairs.
When she got downstairs, she realized her sister and Li Wei were not there.
She suddenly heard a sound coming from the dining area.
"Is it like this?"
It was her sister's voice.
But the tone was a bit strange.
It carried a kind of seductiveness she had never heard before.
Yang Weiwei lightened her footsteps.
She slowly approached the dining area.
She poked her head out to look.
At that sight, she froze completely.
Inside the open-concept kitchen,
her sister,
Yang Yun,
was...
kneeling.
That scene made Yang Weiwei's mind go blank instantly.
She wanted to look away,
but her body wouldn't move.
Her eyes were locked onto them.
Every look and smile from her sister was gentle.
Her face wore an expression that she had never seen before.
Yang Weiwei's face flushed red instantly.
Her heart was beating so fast it felt like it would jump out of her chest.
She bit her lip.
Her hands were tightly covering her mouth, for fear of making a single sound.
Time passed very slowly, yet also very quickly.
Yang Weiwei didn't know how long she had stood there.
Until her sister stood up, did she suddenly snap back to reality.
She quickly turned around.
She tiptoed back.
She hurried upstairs.
She entered her room.
She closed the door.
She leaned against the door.
Her whole body was trembling.
Three parts shy, seven parts excited.
Her mind was filled with the scene from just a moment ago.
Her sister's expression.
Yang Weiwei shook her head vigorously.
Trying to shake these images out.
But the more she tried to forget, the clearer the images became.
She walked to the bed and sat down.
She covered her face with her hands.
"How could this be..."
She muttered to herself.
"Sister actually..."
She had never thought about this before.
So it was possible to do it like this.
This probably wasn't the first time they had done something like this?
Yang Weiwei's face turned even redder.
She thought about how kind her brother-in-law was to her sister.
She thought about the happy smile on her sister's face.
So, was this the reason?
She bit her lip.
A surge of indescribable emotion welled up in her heart.
Shyness, curiosity, and a hint of... envy?
Yang Weiwei stood up abruptly.
"What am I thinking!"
She slapped her face hard.
"This is too shameful!"
But that scene just wouldn't go away.
Downstairs,
Yang Yun stood up.
She licked her lips.
Li Wei looked at her.
He reached out and pulled her into his arms.
"You woman..."
Yang Yun smiled.
"What, not satisfied?"
Li Wei kissed her on the forehead.
"Satisfied."
He paused.
"Very satisfied."
Yang Yun leaned against his chest.
"That's good."
She paused.
"I just wanted to make you feel comfortable."
Li Wei held her tighter.
"Silly girl."
The two held each other for a while.
Yang Yun pulled away from him.
"Alright, it's about time. I'm going to make dinner."
She paused.
"In a while, you go call Yang Weiwei and Qin Xue down for dinner."
Li Wei nodded.
"Okay."
Yang Yun turned and walked toward the kitchen.
Li Wei watched her back.
A smile played on his lips.
This woman, she was truly willing to do anything for him.
He walked to the living room.
Finding no one around, he sat down on the sofa.
An hour and a half later,
"Yang Weiwei, Qin Xue, come down for dinner!"
A response came from upstairs.
"Got it!"
It was Yang Weiwei's voice.
But it sounded a bit off.
Li Wei frowned.
He didn't think much of it.
He turned and walked toward the dining area.
Soon,
the dining table was full of dishes.
Braised pork belly,
steamed fish,
stir-fried vegetables,
and a bowl of soup.
Yang Yun took off her apron.
"Everyone, sit down."
Li Wei sat at the head of the table.
Yang Yun sat on his right.
Qin Xue sat on his left.
Yang Weiwei sat next to Yang Yun.
Qin Xue looked at the table full of dishes.
"Yun Yun, your cooking is really good."
Yang Yun smiled.
"I just made whatever, I don't know if it suits your taste."
Qin Xue shook her head.
"It definitely suits my taste."
She paused.
"I haven't had home-cooked food in a long time."
Li Wei picked up a piece of braised pork belly for her.
"Then eat more."
Qin Xue was stunned for a moment.
"Thank you."
Yang Yun also served her some food.
"Don't be polite, just treat this like your own home."
Qin Xue's eyes turned a bit red.
"Thank you both."
She paused.
"I'm really... really grateful."
Li Wei waved his hand.
"We're all friends, why say things like that?"
Yang Yun also smiled.
"Exactly, if you have any issues in the future, just tell us."
Qin Xue nodded.
She lowered her head and ate.
But tears still fell.
She hadn't had this feeling in a long time.
Being cared for.
Being looked after.
This warmth of a home.
She had forgotten how long it had been since she experienced it.
Li Wei and Yang Yun exchanged a look.
Neither spoke.
They just ate silently.
Yang Weiwei sat to the side.
Keeping her head down the whole time.
Poking at the food in her bowl with her chopsticks.
But she didn't really eat.
Yang Yun noticed.
"Yang Weiwei, why aren't you eating?"
Yang Weiwei looked up.
Her gaze unnaturally drifted toward her sister's lips.
"Huh?"
Her face was slightly red.
"No... nothing."
Yang Yun frowned.
"Are you still thinking about what happened today?"
Yang Weiwei quickly shook her head.
"No."
She paused.
"I just... I'm just a bit tired, and I don't have much of an appetite."
Li Wei also looked at her.
"Even if you don't have an appetite, you have to eat a few bites. Then go get some rest early?"
Yang Weiwei nodded.
A few minutes later,
Yang Weiwei took a few random bites.
"I'm full."
She stood up.
"Sister, brother-in-law, Sister Qin Xue, you all take your time eating."
After saying that, she turned and walked upstairs.
Yang Yun watched her back.
"Why is this girl acting so weird today?"
Li Wei thought for a moment.
"Maybe she's really tired."
He paused.
"So much happened today, she's just a young girl, she surely can't handle it."
Yang Yun sighed.
"That's true."
She turned to Qin Xue.
"Qin Xue, you eat more too."
Qin Xue nodded.
"Okay."
The three continued eating.
The atmosphere was much more relaxed.
Qin Xue also gradually relaxed.
She looked at Li Wei and Yang Yun.
A feeling of envy welled up in her heart.
These two people, they were really a perfect match.
And the way Li Wei treated Yang Yun, was from the bottom of his heart.
Unlike those men with fake affections.
Qin Xue thought of those people she had met in the past.
A bitter smile appeared on her lips.
If she had been able to meet someone like this back then, would things be different now?
Upstairs,
Yang Weiwei entered the room.
She closed the door.
She leaned against the door.
Her mind was still filled with that scene.
