I've wanted to play with it for a long time.

Li Wei turned around, preparing to leave.

Qin Bing suddenly spoke up.

"Li Wei."

Li Wei stopped in his tracks without looking back.

Qin Bing bit her lip.

"Maybe you were just lucky this time."

"That might not be the case next time."

Li Wei laughed.

He did not expect her to still be so stubborn.

"Think whatever you want."

He walked away without looking back.

Qin Bing stood where she was, watching his back.

An indescribable feeling welled up in her heart.

At this moment, footsteps echoed from behind.

Qin Bing turned her head.

Director Wang, the head of the Pediatrics Department, and several other doctors hurried out.

"Excuse me, Policewoman."

"Did you see a young man just now?"

Qin Bing was stunned for a moment and nodded.

"He just left."

Wang Jianguo looked rather regretful.

"Sigh, what a pity."

He paused for a moment.

"I originally wanted to exchange medical techniques with him."

A neurologist standing nearby sighed.

"That's right, Director Wang. In my thirty years of medical practice, I have never seen acupuncture techniques like that of Dr. Li."

He paused.

"It was simply miraculous."

Another anesthesiologist also nodded.

"Indeed, the child's condition was so critical at the time."

He paused.

"With just a few needles, he stabilized the situation immediately."

He gave a thumbs up.

"He is truly a master!"

Wang Jianguo nodded.

"To think Professor Chen Yiming could teach such a student."

He paused.

"It is truly a blessing for our medical field. I must immediately suggest to the Dean that we re-establish the Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture clinic; we cannot let our ancestors' skills fade into oblivion."

Listening to these words, Qin Bing felt increasingly uneasy.

An image of Li Wei administering acupuncture involuntarily surfaced in Qin Bing's mind: focused, steady, and possessing an indescribable sense of reassurance.

Just a moment ago in her sister's ward, Li Wei had been holding the silver needles just like that, preparing to treat her mother.

But in the end, she had interrupted him.

A sense of regret welled up in Qin Bing's heart for no reason.

If she hadn't interrupted Li Wei just now, if she had chosen to trust him, would her mother have woken up by now?

Qin Bing clenched her fists.

For the first time, she doubted her own judgment.

Wang Jianguo looked at Qin Bing.

"Comrade, are you alright?"

Qin Bing snapped back to reality.

"I'm fine."

She paused.

"Director Wang, I'm going to check on the child."

Wang Jianguo nodded.

"Alright, go ahead. She should be waking up soon."

Qin Bing turned around and walked toward the ward, though her steps were somewhat heavy.

...

Li Wei walked out of the hospital entrance and took a deep breath.

The sunlight was blinding, but he felt very satisfied inside.

That outburst just now had finally vented the anger he had been bottling up inside.

Especially seeing the wavering expression on Qin Bing's cold, beautiful face and her stubbornness at the end—Li Wei felt incredibly good.

He walked to the parking lot, got into the mercedes-benz s65, closed the door, and leaned back in the seat, replaying the scene that had just occurred in his mind.

Qin Bing's face—from indifference to shock, then to speaking without thinking.

Li Wei snorted coldly.

"This woman."

"She probably believes me seven or eight parts by now and is regretting it."

He recalled the look in Qin Bing's eyes at the ward entrance—those complex emotions: shock, doubt, hesitation.

Li Wei laughed.

"At the very least, from today on, she won't doubt my medical skills anymore."

"Otherwise, given her past personality," he shook his head, "she would have slapped silver handcuffs on me long ago."

Li Wei started the engine.

Li Wei drove the mercedes-benz s65 out of the city center.

The scenery outside the car window gradually changed from high-rise buildings to lush green belts.

Rose Manor was located in the suburbs of Shen City and covered a vast area; it was a true wealthy district.

Twenty minutes later, the car stopped at the entrance of the manor.

Two security guards in black suits stood at the gate.

Seeing the mercedes-benz s65, one of the security guards walked over.

Li Wei rolled down the window.

When the security guard saw him, his attitude immediately became respectful.

"Mr. Li, the Madam is waiting for you in the tea room."

Li Wei nodded.

The security guard pressed the remote control, and the iron gate slowly opened.

Li Wei drove into the manor.

Both sides of the road were planted with roses of various colors.

A breeze blew, and the fragrance of flowers hit his nose.

Li Wei parked the car in the parking space in front of the main building and got out.

A maid wearing a qipao walked over.

"Mr. Li, please this way."

Li Wei followed the maid deeper into the manor.

After passing through a bamboo grove, an antique-style tea room appeared before his eyes.

The tea room was a detached building with upturned eaves and carved beams and painted pillars.

A red lantern hung at the entrance, swaying gently in the wind.

The maid pushed open the door.

"Madam, Mr. Li has arrived."

"Let him come in."

The voice of Murong Wan came from inside, as gentle as spring water.

Li Wei walked into the tea room.

The interior was elegantly decorated with curling sandalwood incense.

In the center sat a mahogany tea table with exquisite tea sets on it.

Murong Wan sat behind the tea table.

Today, she was wearing a dark green qipao.

The silk fabric and tight cut outlined her curvaceous figure.

The collar featured a traditional button design that went all the way up to her chin, which instead made her swan-like neck appear even more slender and elegant.

Her hair was coiled high, revealing her smooth forehead and delicate earlobes.

On her earlobes, she wore a pair of jade earrings that shimmered with a lustrous glow under the lights.

The slit of the qipao was very high, reaching the top of her thighs.

She sat with her legs crossed, her slender legs wrapped in flesh-colored stockings.

On her feet were a pair of black high heels with thin, slender heels.

Her whole person exuded the unique charm of a mature woman.

She was graceful and luxurious, yet carried a hint of seductiveness.

Li Wei took a few extra glances before walking to the tea table and pulling out a chair to sit down.

Murong Wan picked up the teapot and poured him a cup of tea.

"Mr. Li, taste this tea."

Her voice was gentle.

"This is this year's new tea, Maofeng Mountain Xiaozhong."

Li Wei picked up the teacup and took a small sip.

It was mellow, and the fragrance lingered on his lips and teeth.

"Good tea."

Murong Wan smiled.

"It seems I have found a kindred spirit."

She put down the teapot and looked at Li Wei.

"Mr. Li, I apologize for calling you here so abruptly today; there is something I would like to discuss with you."

Li Wei put down his teacup.

"Oh? What is it?"

Murong Wan bit her lip.

"It is about my husband."

She paused.

"I heard that he went to see you today?"

Li Wei raised an eyebrow.

"Ms. Murong is very well-informed."

A look of apology appeared on Murong Wan's face.

"Mr. Li, I am truly sorry."

She paused.

"My husband, he... he is sometimes quite impulsive."

Li Wei did not speak.

Murong Wan continued.

"If he has done anything to offend you," she stood up and bowed slightly toward Li Wei, "I apologize to you on his behalf."

Li Wei watched her.

A sharp glint flashed in his eyes.

When had she ever been so subservient?

Whenever something is abnormal, there must be a demon.

However, Murong Wan's acting skills were truly excellent.

She looked like an innocent little rabbit.

Li Wei leaned back in his chair.

"Since Ms. Murong says so, it seems you know that your husband proposed conditions to me."

He paused.

"Do you know exactly what conditions he proposed?"

Murong Wan was stunned.

"What conditions?"

Li Wei laughed.

"He wanted me to kneel down."

He paused.

"And kowtow to him three times."

Murong Wan's expression changed instantly.

"What?"

Li Wei continued.

"He also wanted me to give Yang Yun to him."

He paused.

"He said she would have to accompany him for a week."

Murong Wan froze completely.

She looked at Li Wei in disbelief.

"This... this is impossible..."

Li Wei sneered.

"How is it impossible?"

He paused.

"He also said he really likes Yang Yun's legs."

He looked into Murong Wan's eyes.

"He has long wanted to toy with them."
