227: Happy Farm, Herba

happy farm.

Tang Ping's figure disappeared, appearing in a farm full of anime-style colors.

This farm was clearly of much better quality than the Pixel Farm he knew, but he didn't know what different functions it had.

Because the game had just started, the farm had not been expanded yet, so it didn't look very big and was quite overgrown with weeds.

Approaching the weeds and dead trees, a 'Clear' button appeared before him, offering a choice.

This made Tang Ping incredibly curious; experiencing the feeling of a casual game in person was too wonderful, even more so than the Doomsday Game.

After clearing the weeds, he actually obtained fodder, which automatically went into the happy farm warehouse. Clearing dead wood also yielded some timber. Timber could be used to upgrade and repair the farm's small wooden house, make fences, upgrade and repair the warehouse, repair the fishing ground, and so on. It could also be sold. There was a shop in the farm with a merchant inside.

Timber could be said to be a very versatile resource. Besides the trees that refreshed daily on the farm, one could also plant saplings to obtain timber.

Tang Ping came before the shop, where a merchant in a clean suit and a gentleman's hat stood.

The merchant bowed: "Distinguished Farmer, my name is Herba. How may I assist you?"

"He can even communicate freely?" Tang Ping was surprised. He looked around the shop, then asked, "Excuse me, how can I reclaim land?"

Herba answered with gentlemanly politeness: "Distinguished Farmer, because you have just arrived, you receive a 90% discount. You only need to spend 10 gold coins to unlock one plot of arable land, with a maximum of ten plots."

Tang Ping nodded: "Then what is the fastest way for me to acquire gold coins right now?"

Herba began: "Distinguished Farmer, currently you can sell timber; also, there might be some precious wild magical plants in this abandoned farm that you can sell; and that abandoned fish pond might also hold surprises, though fishing requires a lot of patience and luck.

In the small wooden house next to the fish pond, there are old fishing rods. As for bait, distinguished Farmer, you can buy it from me, or you can check by the fish pond for small mounds, which might contain earthworms that can also be used as bait, though the probability of catching precious fish might be much lower."

Tang Ping had originally thought he wouldn't get any good advice, but he didn't expect this merchant to give so many suggestions. He was delighted and prepared to work hard: "Thank you, friendly merchant."

"You're welcome, my dear Mr. Farmer," Herba smiled.

Tang Ping left the small shop. The first thing he wanted to find was that magical plant. The reason he was so excited and happy was because he felt that perhaps this happy farm, with such high pixel quality, contained more than just ordinary items.

Magical plant, it didn't sound like an ordinary plant.

It was important to know that crops planted in farm-like mini-games could all be taken out.

From what he knew about the Pixel Farm, one unit of corn, wheat, vegetables, or fruit from the game, when brought into reality, weighed fifty catties.

Fifty catties of corn or wheat was enough for one person to eat for a month.

A farm managed with thousands of plots of land could easily feed tens of thousands, or even hundreds of thousands of people, as the crops matured in a few days, at least ten times a month, and some fast-growing ones could mature thirty times.

And this was only a few thousand plots; it was important to know that these farms generally had no development limit. At least, in the future he knew, those who had the Pixel Farm, even after a hundred years, still hadn't reached the limit. In a hundred years, who knew how many plots of land were in his farm.

Moreover, in the farm, one could also buy slaves and servants to help with planting and harvesting, so there was no need to busy oneself.

He also wondered if someone else had already obtained the Pixel Farm, and he had only received the happy farm mini-game.

But none of that was important; what mattered was having it.

Tang Ping's heart was ablaze. Now he had absolutely no worries about food.

In reality, he had the large plots of land brought by Taoshan, the twenty-four-times estate characteristic of Zhang Xile's Shelter, and Taoshan's many small secret realms, as well as the dozens of kilometers of fragmented small world on Taoshan's peak.

Now he even had the happy farm. Once the happy farm developed, it would be a continuous source of food.

And because he didn't need to support a base in the early stages, he could develop faster, selling all the crops he planted to expand the farm, reclaim land, upgrade the farmer's cabin, unlock the ranch, buy slaves, and so on.

Suppressing his excited thoughts, Tang Ping pursed his lips, though his smile couldn't be completely hidden.

First, he would look for that magical plant.

Magical plant, it sounded like something extraordinary, and its characteristics should have many strange aspects.

Soon, Tang Ping discovered a peculiar plant.

It was a glowing plant.

A plant similar to foxtail grass, emitting strange pinkish-white starlight, but instead of fuzzy grass, it bore a cloud-like fruit.

"What is this?" Tang Ping was curious and moved closer to observe.

A name and a 'Collect' option immediately appeared on the plant.

"Collect"

"Popoz Fruit"

"Collect." With a thought, the Popoz Fruit was collected. He then opened the warehouse interface and clicked to view the Popoz Fruit's information.

"Popoz Fruit: A fruit like a pinkish-white cloud. The fruit cannot be eaten, otherwise it will cause the internal organs to cloudify, but it can be used to make magic carpets, making them lighter, valued at 600 gold coins."

"This..." Tang Ping was startled by this magical plant. He hadn't expected such a wondrous plant to exist in his happy farm.

At the same time, through the plant's description, Tang Ping clearly noticed the word 'make'. Who makes it? For whom is it made? Magic? Flying carpet?

His gaze fell outside the farm, where there was a mist.

Tang Ping quietly wondered if he, as the Farmer, would be able to leave this farm in the future.

Carrying the Popoz Fruit, he arrived in front of Herba's small shop.

"Mr. Herba, I would like to sell this fruit."

Herba was surprised: "It's actually a Popoz Fruit! This is a very rare magical fruit that can be used to refine high-grade flying carpets, making them like clouds. It's worth six hundred gold coins, distinguished Farmer, are you sure you want to sell it?"

"Sell it." Tang Ping nodded. Why wouldn't he sell it? He couldn't make flying carpets, and to him, it was a poisonous fruit that would cloudify his body if eaten.

"Distinguished Farmer, the gold coins have been automatically deposited into your farm account."

Tang Ping had already heard the sound of "+600 gold coins," and in front of him, the golden number "+600" also appeared.

"What a magical game," Tang Ping exclaimed.

It was time to prepare to reclaim land.
