309: Calamity Moth Gu, Lunar Disaster

The azure shuttle was incredibly fast; Tang Ping even consumed the Azure Realm's azure ancient wood origin to power the shuttle!

He had a premonition that if he fell into this void, even if he miraculously survived, it would be difficult to return to Blue Star. Tang Ping's face was grim; he now realized that the Infected Mother Queen probably knew about the invading people all along, and might have intentionally extended the blood vessels into the void, wanting to leave them without a burial place.

Tang Ping's understanding of this Infected Mother Queen reached a new level. He thought that if it weren't for the Undead Race's suppression array, they likely wouldn't stand a chance at all. How exactly did this Infected Mother Queen grow?

The shuttle, transformed from the Azure Realm, moved at an astonishing speed. Although the void turbulence temporarily destabilized it, he quickly regained control, burst out of the turbulence, and reached the passage on the other side. Without much thought, he sped along. Fortunately, it was a smooth journey, and soon he saw the exposed rocks around him. Tang Ping felt relieved, knowing he had returned. Two minutes later, he burst out of the ground.

As for the two Undead Race members, they had most likely perished in the void turbulence. After this incident, Tang Ping dared not recklessly enter again. He found a spot and rested for a moment.

But soon, he discovered that the number of Infected outside had not decreased; instead, it was increasing!

"Those Infected gestating in the blood vessels have all been released."

With the Corpse Tide gathering, both the Star Council's Experts and the Undead Race found it impossible to move. As one of the Team Leaders, Tang Ping naturally couldn't allow the core forces of the Star Council Alliance to be sacrificed in vain to the Corpse Tide.

His Wings of Flame flickered, teleporting to various locations to rescue the gathered Star Council members. As for the Undead Race, it was not his concern to worry about them.

Soon, over a hundred Fourth-Level Experts from the Star Council Alliance had gathered on top of a building.

However, an endless stream of Infected continued to assault the building below. Although the building was repeatedly reinforced by Fourth-Level Talent Users, it was already on the verge of collapse, not to mention the numerous powerful Infected charging upwards.

Tang Ping once again returned with a dozen people, then waved his hand. Raging flames swept down the building, incinerating all climbing Infected into ash. However, his brows remained furrowed; this approach wouldn't work.

Now, the Star Council members only had two choices: either use their Star Badges to leave, but leaving too early meant they wouldn't get the second top-grade treasure.

Or they could stay here. Tang Ping turned his head: "The situation has changed. More and more powerful Infected are flooding into this battlefield. Even if you want to just muddle through, it will be very difficult. Do you plan to leave now, or what?"

The group fell silent, beginning to ponder. Gradually, some people stepped forward, choosing to leave, while others who wanted to take a risk chose to stay. Tang Ping naturally didn't stop them. However... looking at the Corpse Tide below, his eyes flickered. He remembered that his Heavenly Calamity Moth Gu, after devouring the blood crystal of an Infected Mother Queen, had also gained the ability to control the Infected.

This ability, of course, was far from comparable to that of the terrifying Infected Mother Queen, but being able to control even a small portion of the Corpse Tide would be enough to provide a resting place for the Star Council members.

Moreover, although this was an operation led by the Undead Race to clear out the Infected Mother Queen, these Infected were still Jiangcheng Infected, and killing them could still earn Star Council contribution points. It was estimated that a large portion of those who remained wanted to continue hunting.

Since these Star Council members dared to fight, he didn't mind giving them a push. After all, he was also one of the Upper Council Elders and the First Seat of Star Glory. He should have some sense of responsibility.

The Heavenly Calamity Moth Gu appeared on his shoulder. With their intentions aligned, the Heavenly Calamity Moth Gu immediately understood its master's thoughts. A blood moon rose, and Moon Disaster combined with Blood Slave, two S-rank abilities complementing each other. As the crimson moonlight fell, the surging Corpse Tide below the building began to slowly halt, eventually becoming completely motionless.

With a hum from the Heavenly Calamity Moth Gu, thousands of Infected retreated in unison. But it was too few; this number of Infected could do nothing. Tang Ping continuously channeled his power into the Heavenly Calamity Moth Gu, while he himself constantly converted the power within the Azure Realm.

As the vast power poured in, the previously dim blood moon once again shone brightly!

As time passed, after more than half an hour, the Heavenly Calamity Moth Gu transmitted a weary consciousness. Tang Ping knew that this was the current limit of the Heavenly Calamity Moth Gu's control, but it was enough.

Before the Heavenly Calamity Moth Gu fell into a weak slumber, it issued commands to the Corpse Tide. As a hum sounded again, thirty to forty thousand Infected retreated, immediately clearing a hundred-meter radius around the building.

The scene before them left everyone on the rooftop stunned, clearly unaware of what had happened.

"This place is temporarily safe. Those Infected here whose bodies emit a bloody glow will not attack you. After you go out to hunt Infected, you can come here to rest. The blood moon mark on your left hand is the standard to ensure you are not attacked by the Infected here. Remember to protect it well.

Additionally, if you find other Star Council members, bring them here. Within three meters, the Infected will also not attack you. When you come here, sit under the blood moon for ten minutes to get the mark.

If the mark on your hand disappears, remember to contact others to bring you in for re-marking. Later, I will notify Upper Council Elders Zhou Zheng and Qi Jun to come over; this place will temporarily be handed over to them. However, remember to give half a percent of your contribution points to the two of them, as they cannot hunt Infected themselves while stationed here."

"Elder Tang is right. We will certainly hand over what we earn truthfully," a Fourth-Level Talent User said.

"Um, Elder Tang, what about you?" A middle-aged Fat (chubby man) asked with a fawning expression, "Elder Tang, if you deem it acceptable, I am willing to hand over fifty percent of my earnings to you!"

Everyone around immediately scoffed inwardly, but no one dared to openly disagree. After all, the commotion Elder Tang had caused in the few days since his return to Xingyao Base had been heard to the point of calluses on their ears. Now witnessing it firsthand, they only felt he was even more unfathomable.

"Me? I'll pass. I'm not interested in your meager earnings. Keep them for yourselves and exchange them for more things to improve your strength," Tang Ping shook his head slightly. What in the Star Council that he desired could he not take? Would he still need contribution points?

After giving his instructions, Tang Ping didn't chat with these people. He left on the Great Emperor Moth, notifying Zhou Zheng and Qi Jun from Spark Base to come along the way.

A group of amazed Alliance Experts remained on the spot.

"Elder Tang truly lives up to his reputation as the Alliance's top Expert. Not only is his strength exceptional, but his magnanimity is also beyond compare."

"You don't need to state the obvious, you fatty."

"Alright, alright, Elder Tang has already flown out of sight. Stop flattering him and hurry up and hunt Infected."

"Right, right. By the way, the Alliance just announced that the Infected whose blood emits a faint yellow glow have very extraordinary blood, which has great uses. The contribution points for those Infected are several times higher than other ordinary Infected!"

"Really? Is that true?"

"If you don't believe me, see for yourself. It was announced personally by Leader Yao and Chairman Wang."

"Oh, it's true. I wonder what this blood is used for."

"I heard that after Elder Ye of the Upper Council purifies it, this stuff can promote plant growth, and the effect is incredibly good!"

"Promote plant growth? Does that mean it can also promote crop growth!"

"Of course!"

"Wow, isn't this super fertilizer! Alas, it's a pity we don't have the ability to remove the contamination inside, otherwise, we could definitely make a killing."

"Come on, you could have killed two Infected in the time you've spent talking. Stop dreaming all day."

"Where did Elder Tang go just now?"

"A friend of mine is at the Infected Mother Queen's location. He said that besides our Alliance members and the Undead Race, it seems there are other outsiders?"

"Other outsiders? Are they human?"

"I don't know."
