12: Chapter 12 Preparing to Leave

While Xia Xingchen was counseling the Commander, Nuwa approached him.

"My lord, all valuable items have been recovered.

Next, regarding the selection of Servitors, should we determine and select the most qualified personnel based on data?"

Xia Xingchen nodded upon hearing this:

"Proceed as you said."

The Krieg soldiers had already experienced the process of Xia Xingchen selecting personnel from captives to be converted into Servitors.

So this time, they gathered all the captives without almost any questions, awaiting Xia Xingchen's selection.

This time, the number of rebel soldiers was quite large, nearly ten thousand.

The final number of selected Servitor candidates was ten times more than last time, a full two thousand.

This transportation would take at least three days.

Xia Xingchen's spacecraft could not be entirely used for transporting personnel; supplies and equipment also needed transportation. Coupled with the limited number of transport ships on board, it seemed they would have to stay on Krieg for a while.

Transport ships began to land, receiving supplies and captives to be converted into Servitors.

Xia Xingchen now stood before Colonel Gallis, the highest-ranking Commander on Krieg.

"Colonel, the enemy has been purged, and it's time for me to leave."

Colonel Gallis quickly spoke up upon hearing this:

"Wait a moment."

Upon hearing this, Xia Xingchen retracted his foot, which he had been about to step forward with.

"May I ask, can we truly continue to atone for the Emperor in the future?"

Xia Xingchen felt helpless; these Kriegers were truly obsessed with atonement, from top to bottom.

But while he thought this, he dared not say it directly, only assuring them with an extremely firm tone:

"You only need to do your best to rebuild the Krieg world and expand your army, the more the better.

The Imperium's territories still need you to eradicate traitors."

Xia Xingchen was not lying; after all, countless battlefields across the Imperium required lives to fill them, and the Kriegers were definitely one of the Imperium's highest-quality sources of soldiers.

Upon hearing this, Colonel Gallis's eyes instantly gleamed, and the Krieg officers present immediately regained their previous high spirits.

Xia Xingchen performed an Aquila Salute and then bid them farewell.

Xia Xingchen went outside, where the bodies of the rebels were being cremated, the burning fat emitting a foul odor.

Xia Xingchen paid no mind and went straight to the helipad.

Without a starport, Xia Xingchen could not achieve large-scale transportation, only relying on fighters and transport ships to make repeated trips. Clearly, this would be a continuous transfer until everything was completed.

Xia Xingchen had no desire to remain on the planet Krieg; he had largely obtained what he wanted, and it was time to set off according to the star map.

Moreover, Kriegers seemed to have no habit of celebrating; after battles, they immediately began clearing the battlefield, mopping up remaining rebels, and otherwise trained and prayed, always ready to atone for the Emperor.

Returning to the spacecraft, the ordinary workers who had been moving supplies in the cabin and cargo hold had been replaced by a large number of Servitors.

"Speed up. If necessary, implement two shifts. We must transport and transfer goods as quickly as possible."

Xia Xingchen emphasized the importance of time to Nuwa beside him,

"Nuwa, you must remember, the longer we stay in the Segmentum Tempestus, the greater the possibility of exposure."

"Understood, Master, we will accelerate the progress."

After returning to his room, Xia Xingchen went into the bathroom to wash away his fatigue, then comfortably lay on his bed.

He opened the system chat channel, where the content of everyone's conversations had undergone a significant change. Few people were still chatting about useless information, instead, some powerful individuals began to display their strength.

One person, commanding a cruiser and mastering mech technology, acted almost like a space pirate, using the mechs' high mobility and powerful firepower to rapidly plunder planets with weak Imperium of Man control and seize Imperial resources.

He had now made it onto the Imperium's wanted list.

However, he clearly didn't care. According to the latest chat content, he seemed to have found a deserted asteroid belt and discovered a huge outpost within the planetary belt, using it as a base to recruit soldiers.

Xia Xingchen was not surprised to see this; anything was possible in the warhammer 40k world.

Perhaps that outpost was left over from the Great Crusade era or some exploration, only to be abandoned for some reason. Coupled with the Imperium's infuriatingly inefficient administration, this outpost might have been completely forgotten in the vast sea of documents.

Unless a major event occurred there, no one would desperately rummage through Imperial archives to uncover the past and present of this outpost.

[Brothers, fighting alone offers no hope. We face not only the Imperium of Man but also the Chaos Gods / The Four Gods and other xenos factions that resent us.

I believe that only by uniting can we survive.]

Soon, some farsighted and leadership-capable individuals appeared in the chat group.

[If you don't mind, you can come to the Taiping Sector.

My companions and I have discovered a habitable Feral World that can serve as our new beginning. We can rebuild our own civilization here.]

[I guarantee the safety of every joiner. Join my alliance, and I will ensure your standard of living is no lower than that of an Imperial Governor.]

[Those who enjoy pioneering and are willing to fight for the alliance can join the combat forces; those who only want a stable life can be responsible for civilian production; those who only want to live comfortably can also entrust their military and technology to us and simply enjoy life like a Governor.]

This unknown user sent several messages in a row, immediately attracting the interest of many people.

[Whoa, we already have a big boss? This person feels even more powerful than that pirate from before, actually being able to find a Feral World.]

[Is what he's saying true?]

[Judging by his tone, it's probably true.]

The first unknown user to speak then provided more detailed information:

[This planet is a world that has reverted to the Bronze Age after a nuclear war, with a global population of over three million. We have completely conquered this planet.

This planet has two moons, similar to Earth's Moon, except one is red and one is white.

And the red moon has been pierced in one corner for some reason; from space, it cannot form a complete full moon shape.]

Such a detailed description led many to believe him.

Some also quickly deduced information from this passage: they had clearly been developing on this Feral World for some time. If this planet's environment was similar to Earth's, it meant there would only be one full moon per month.

[Big brother, are you still recruiting? If you are, I'll find a way to get there.]

[Those who want to come to the Taiping Sector can send me a private message, and I will send you the coordinates.]

[Brothers, I apologize, but to prevent ill-intentioned individuals, I cannot reveal specific information in the public channel.]

[Understood, brother, I'm heading to the Taiping Sector right now.]

Just as everyone was discussing intensely, another person offered a different opinion.

[Not necessarily, don't be fooled.]
