160: Chapter 159 Lux Galaxy

Xia Xingchen stood in his bedroom, gazing up at the night sky of Lanshan Planet, a question circling in his mind.

"Lux Aliens, where exactly is your lair?"

The Lux Star System, a star system located on the fringe of the Empire that had never been officially explored.

Or rather, it was simply too remote and its resources were extremely barren, so the Empire had no interest in it at all.

The sun in this star system had entered its twilight years and would face self-destruction in less than a thousand years at most, at which point the entire star system would be completely annihilated.

The only path left for the Lux Aliens was to expand rapidly and find a new home.

On the largest planet in the Lux Star System, which glowed with a dark green light, an elderly Lux Aliens was recounting the history of its civilization to the children below.

"Our world and home were not originally here. The distant Origin Star System is the true homeland of our Lux Civilization."

The elder slowly recounted the past of the Lux Civilization to hundreds of hatchlings.

"Lord Herald, why did we have to leave our original home and come here?"

A Lux Aliens that looked like a child raised a hand and asked.

Upon hearing this, the Herald's eyes instantly welled up with a deep-seated hatred that had accumulated over long ages.

"It was an evil human who led his demonic legion to plunder our home."

When the Herald said this, many of the hatchlings looked confused.

In their understanding, the concept of "human" did not exist at all.

"Lord Herald, what exactly is a human?"

The Herald immediately lowered its voice:

"They are the most evil existence in the entire galaxy. You do not need to know too much; you only need to remember that when you see a human, kill them all."

Hearing this, all the Lux Aliens hatchlings nodded vigorously.

Indoctrination like this could be seen everywhere on the Lux Aliens planet.

Inside the tallest building on the planet, two massive figures stood before a screen fused from flesh and machinery, exchanging information from the front lines.

The Lux Aliens had organized a total of ten expeditionary fleets. Three of them were destroyed en route for unknown reasons, while the remaining seven successfully broke out of the Lux Star System and began plundering human star sectors.

The Lux Queen sat enthroned, her body covered in a layer of scales resembling gold foil.

Compared to other Lux Aliens, the unique noble aura she possessed far surpassed any of her kin.

Standing beside her was a special Lux Aliens.

It was entirely a rare purple color, its body nearly a size smaller than the Queen's; it was the King of the Lux Kingdom.

The two listened to the battle reports from the front lines: three fleets had successfully captured three planets, while the remaining fleets were mired in bitter struggles against humans or other civilizations.

The Queen immediately issued an order, requiring all fleets to consolidate the territories they had already occupied.

But as soon as the order was given, the King raised an objection.

"My Queen, I believe we are currently advancing triumphantly. Once we halt our pace, the momentum of our expansion will inevitably be curbed. Moreover, this does not align with our original plan."

Their original plan was to first expand their influence to several neighboring star systems to serve as a rear base, and then advance toward the Origin Star System—that is, the star sector occupied by Xia Xingchen.

The Queen was greatly displeased upon hearing this. From beneath her limb armor, she instantly drew an electric whip and lashed it fiercely across the King's face.

"Shut up! I am the leader of the entire Lux Civilization."

"You are merely the war blade of the civilization, nothing more. Attend to your own duties."

Feeling the stinging pain on his face, the King felt endless humiliation and sorrow surging in his heart.

At this moment, he was perfectly clear that the purpose for which the Queen had created him was never to be on equal footing with her.

He was merely a somewhat useful tool, a weapon of war she used to expand in the universe.

When the day the war ends comes, will he even be able to survive?

At this thought, all other ideas in the King's mind were suppressed, replaced by the fear of being discarded once his usefulness was over.

He immediately lowered his head, adopting a submissive and repentant posture.

"I will strictly obey the Queen's decree; I have overstepped my bounds."

Seeing this, the Queen was satisfied.

The King then bowed and asked to be excused, saying he needed to leave for a moment.

The Queen did not ask him to stay and waved her hand to signal him to withdraw.

Soon, a group of high-ranking officials with golden scales walked into the great hall.

These were the ruling class of the Lux Aliens—scholars, generals, priests, and so on—all cultivated personally by the Queen and were the core force absolutely loyal to her. Two-thirds of the military power of the Lux Civilization was controlled by the Queen, which was also the source of her confidence in openly suppressing the King.

They immediately produced a star map and spread it out before the Queen.

The golden Lux Aliens at the head was the most respected and prestigious among all the officials, and was also one of the first batch of subjects cultivated by the Queen.

"My Queen."

Its voice carried a hint of old age.

"Our army has captured three worlds, but as we expand, more and more forces have come into conflict with us."

"The first to bear the brunt are the humans, followed by a kind of green beast."

"Finally, there is also a type of humanoid creature with pointed ears."

In the cognition of the Lux Aliens, the classification of races was not that detailed.

They simply regarded the Spirit Race as a branch of humans, just like the Giant Beetle in their own civilization.

"What plans do you have next?"

The leading elderly Lux Aliens immediately replied:

"I suggest concentrating our military forces to attack the Origin Star System."

"The reason?"

"We are currently like someone who has stretched out all their limbs; this is a large-scale, net-casting type of expansion."

"We can still take worlds with weak defenses, but once we run into a world with powerful defensive forces, we will inevitably suffer setbacks."

After listening, the Queen only asked one question:

"Then what better plan do you have?"

The old Lux Aliens immediately produced a plan written in Lux script.

The Queen lowered her head to look at the contents of the plan, while the old Lux Aliens explained it in detail from the side.

"My Queen, I believe that at present, we should divide our forces into two: one to attack the most prosperous star systems, and the other to attack our Origin Star System."

The old Lux Aliens proposed splitting the troops into two paths: one to solve the resource problem, and one to solve the issues of faith and homeland.

The Queen finished reading the entire plan and finally posed only one question:

"Are our forces sufficient? What is the specific plan for this scheme?"

The Lux Queen's gaze swept over her servants. As her advisors, they had to provide the Queen with a plan to prove their worth.

The Queen soon saw the elder under her command moving quickly forward, clearly having something to say.
