75: Chapter 75 Allah Thomas

Abandoned Industrial Tower

The last remnants of the Thomas Family gathered here.

Relying on the wealth accumulated by the family, they barely managed to raise an army of over 1.5 million people here.

Hive City No. 3 was originally an important mining base on Vanad Planet, so it had stockpiled a large number of weapons year-round to prevent labor riots.

But what the Thomas Family never expected was that the weapons originally used to suppress labor riots had now become their only capital to resist the Imperial army.

The once thriving Thomas Family now had only three people left.

Serving as the supreme commander was Governor Waka Thomas's son, Anla Thomas.

Anla Thomas looked at the battle reports submitted by several officers with a distressed expression.

Facing the frenzied attacks of the Imperial Punishment Force, their losses had reached an unbearable level.

Now, they had to sacrifice an average of one hundred people to eliminate a single soldier of the Punishment Force.

The quality of their troops was simply too poor.

Now, apart from the core private army of over a thousand, which could barely manage a three-to-one exchange ratio against Xia Xingchen's troops, the exchange ratio for the rest of the units was basically over ten-to-one.

This million-strong army, cobbled together temporarily, was entirely composed of refugees from the lower Hive City.

They had no combat training and not a shred of fighting will.

Those thousand-plus core private soldiers were almost all sent to serve as officers, just to command this rabble and ensure they wouldn't collapse at the first touch on the battlefield.

This also resulted in Anla Thomas having almost no bodyguards around him, with only an elite unit of less than fifty people protecting his safety.

But Anla Thomas was not panicked.

Relying on the intricate roads and chaotic environment of the lower Hive City, Anla Thomas was certain that the enemy could not easily approach this place.

After finishing his instructions, Anla Thomas pushed open the door again, preparing to enter the combat command room to issue a new round of orders.

Anla Thomas pushed open the door, and the scene inside made his body stiffen, as if he had fallen into an ice cellar.

"How are you here?"

Anla Thomas screamed, his voice distorted by extreme fear.

The scene before Anla Thomas at this moment would be unforgettable for the rest of his life; the horror and eeriness before him far exceeded everything he had ever seen in his life.

On both sides of the room stood members of the Star Guard, covered in blood.

Before Anla Thomas could react, the door behind him was slammed shut, emitting a dull, loud thud.

The Star Guard locked the door with a backhand motion and simultaneously and cleanly dealt with the bodyguards beside Anla Thomas; two power daggers pierced directly through their abdomens without making a single extra sound.

Seeing this, although Anla Thomas was terrified to death, he still pretended to be calm, staring fixedly at Xia Xingchen in front of him.

Xia Xingchen sat in the main seat, his helmet placed casually beside the table. His boots, stained with dark red and dark green grime, were resting on the table, blood still dripping down, spreading into hideous marks on the tabletop.

The spreading bloodstains seemed like an endless abyss of blood, ready to swallow the entire tabletop.

The soldiers beside Xia Xingchen also had their power armor covered in thick bloodstains, and some soldiers even had congealed blood foam and minced meat on them; the sticky, foul-smelling scene made Anla Thomas feel disgusted and chilled from the bottom of his heart.

"Anla Thomas, you finally came. I have waited for you, waiting so very hard."

Xia Xingchen's voice was low and hoarse, carrying a trace of exhaustion, yet piercingly cold.

Xia Xingchen's eyes were like those of a demon crawling out of hell, staring fixedly at Anla Thomas.

"Do you know how many mutants I killed in that damn sewer?

How many hearts I ripped out, how many sets of intestines I stomped into mush, and how many deformed monsters I smashed against the wall like mud?

I did all of this just to get here and see you in person."

In Xia Xingchen's mind, the hellish scene from the underground tunnel just now kept flashing by.

If he had another chance to choose, he would rather die than walk through that underground tunnel; it was simply a combination of a graveyard and hell, where every step was taken on rotting corpses and viscous blood.

And precisely because of this, Xia Xingchen's hatred for Anla Thomas had reached its peak.

His only thought now was to kill Anla Thomas in the most cruel way possible. If it weren't for this bastard's desperate resistance, he would have already taken the entire Vanad Planet and would not have paid such a painful price.

"I..."

Just as Anla Thomas wanted to say something, he was grabbed by the back of the neck by the Star Guard behind him and, like holding a defeated rooster, was pressed firmly in front of Xia Xingchen.

"And now, it's time for me to see your sincerity."

Xia Xingchen's fingers tapped lightly on the table, making a rhythmic clicking sound, each one sounding like it was knocking on Anla Thomas's heart.

As he finished speaking, he picked up the lower Hive City broadcast communicator on the table.

Only by letting all the rebel soldiers in the lower Hive City hear Anla Thomas announce the order to lay down their weapons with their own ears could this damn battle finally end.

"You won't be able to escape! As long as I shout, the soldiers outside will rush in, and then you will all be hacked into meat paste!"

Anla Thomas screamed, his bravado masking his fear.

Hearing this, Xia Xingchen laughed speechlessly twice.

Facing death, Anla Thomas was still bluffing; it was truly ridiculous.

The next second, a loud slap landed directly on Anla Thomas's face.

"You're much thinner than your father. This slap should hurt more than when I slapped your father, right?"

Xia Xingchen's tone carried a hint of mockery, yet it was piercingly cold.

At the same time, Xia Xingchen brought the broadcast device to Anla Thomas's lips.

"If you are still unwilling to announce your surrender, then I don't mind letting all the rebels and civilians in the lower Hive City listen to the screams of the last minute of your life.

I guarantee that it will be the most beautiful sound they have ever heard."

Anla Thomas looked up and saw Xia Xingchen's bloodshot eyes, his gaze as cold as a knife.

Anla Thomas knew that Xia Xingchen was not joking.

Anla Thomas dared not hold out any longer and had to tremble as he took the broadcast communicator.

The sizzling sound of electric current echoed through the broadcast system in every corner of the lower Hive City.

"All soldiers of Vanad Planet, listen up. I am Anla Thomas.

Here, I formally announce: The war is over, we surrender."

When Anla Thomas's voice spread throughout the entire lower Hive City via broadcast, the soldiers who were fighting were all stunned for a moment, and then almost everyone immediately laid down their weapons. They had long been wishing for this damn war to end.

They had long been unable to withstand the offensive of Xia Xingchen's troops; these cobbled-together rabble, no matter how hard they fought, were merely like a mantis trying to stop a chariot.

With the surrender of their commander, the soldiers below naturally had even less will to fight.

Just when Xia Xingchen thought everything was over, dense footsteps suddenly sounded outside the room, and a large number of rebel troops were rapidly approaching.

"You're done for! There's still time to run!"

Hearing the sound, Anla Thomas immediately screamed excitedly, as if he had seen a lifeline.

Anla Thomas clamored excitedly at Xia Xingchen, as if in the next second Xia Xingchen would be torn to pieces.
