162: Chapter 161 Imperial Decisions

Fortunately, the United Alliance soon discovered the target of this alien army: an Imperium of Man world in the K3 sector of the K1 sector.

A plan where the snipe and the clam fight, and the fisherman reaps the benefit, quickly took shape in the minds of the United Alliance's high command.

They first lifted the siege on the Hive World, withdrew all forces to space, and simultaneously concentrated and concealed all their warships in the dark corners of the star sector.

The United Alliance's calculation was simple: let the Lux Aliens and the Imperial defenders of the Hive City fight to the death, while they sat in their fleet in space, waiting for the two sides to exhaust each other before delivering the final blow to the victor.

However, they failed to notice that countless scattered fleets had split off from the massive expeditionary force of the Lux Aliens, raiding the surrounding star sectors. One small branch fleet had actually stumbled straight into the Remu system.

The United Alliance never dreamed that their own home base was being raided by the enemy.

Moreover, this was not a carefully planned operation at all; it was purely because the scale of the army was so vast that a branch fleet had accidentally stumbled upon the Remu system.

Warlord Big Iron Fist's Territory

During these days, this group of greenskins was having the time of their lives.

First, they fought the Imperium of Man; just as the Imperials left, another group of humans (Transmigrators) arrived. No sooner had they finished fighting that group of humans than another group of aliens arrived to brawl with them.

Warlord Big Iron Fist felt like he was in heaven.

Of course, the condition was that these guys shouldn't always covet his battle moon.

At first, both the Imperium of Man and the Transmigrators regarded the battle moon as a major threat.

The Transmigrator forces near Warlord Big Iron Fist's territory were always looking for opportunities, trying every means to destroy the battle moon; the Imperium of Man had also sent a fleet, hoping to erase this threat.

Unfortunately, under the desperate defense of the tens of billions of greenskin boyz on Iron Fist Planet, all their plans came to nothing.

The Lux Aliens also collided with this group of greenskins, and a fierce battle broke out between the two sides.

These aliens were obsessed with killing all the greenskins, which actually made the greenskins exceptionally happy. Finally, there was a faction that wasn't aiming to dismantle the battle moon.

As the battle intensified, the greenskins were also evolving rapidly.

Under the human-wave tactics of the Lux Aliens, the greenskins' reproduction rate soared to a terrifying level.

Constant warfare pushed the greenskin boyz to grow rapidly, and many boyz became Orc Nobz, which meant the overall scale of the greenskins expanded further.

Warlord Big Iron Fist was the only Warboss in the area. In the continuous fighting, his physique without armor had grown to about three meters.

The greenskin Mekboyz began to forge a peerless set of equipment for their boss: heavy armor was layered onto Warlord Big Iron Fist, a giant power klaw was installed on his right hand, and a large cannon barrel was welded to his back.

Once the full set of armor was donned, Warlord Big Iron Fist's height reached an astonishing seven meters.

Now, Warlord Big Iron Fist stood among the Orc troops like a small hill, standing out from the crowd, and all the Orcs looked at him with eyes full of fanaticism.

Life was equally difficult for the Imperium of Man.

The loyalists had to resist the attacks of Chaos and the rebels, while also dividing their attention to fend off the interference of the Lux Aliens.

The Lux Aliens had already captured several human worlds in succession.

Faced with an absolute advantage in numbers, many isolated human worlds simply could not withstand the onslaught of the Lux Aliens army.

Until one day.

Whether by coincidence or necessity, the Lux Aliens happened to run head-on into an Imperial munitions world in the Ultima Segmentum.

This planet stored over 40% of the munitions supplies for the K1 sector and was undoubtedly one of the most important worlds in the entire sector.

The munitions world, under siege by the Lux Aliens, did not hesitate to immediately send a report to Terra.

A steady stream of distress signals drifted toward Holy Terra like snowflakes.

But in the eyes of the High Lords of Terra, the cries for help from these remote worlds were not even as important as a delay in a supply shipment in the Segmentum Obscurus.

To put it bluntly, Terra did not take the distress signals from the Ultima Segmentum seriously at all, almost leaving the worlds of the Far East to fend for themselves.

It wasn't until the distress signals from both the Hive World and the munitions world arrived in succession that the situation took a turn.

The Adeptus Mechanicus was the first to lose their composure.

That munitions world not only stored massive amounts of weapons but also contained a vital STC template that they had to retrieve.

Only then did the top brass of Terra finally begin to take the Lux Aliens invasion seriously.

But deploying troops from Terra was simply unrealistic.

Large areas of the Ultima Segmentum were in a state of semi-disconnection; simply put, Astropathic communication was intermittent, and Warp routes were extremely unstable.

Where else in the Far East could the Imperium fully control?

The only answer left was Ultramar.

Ultramar could be called the beacon of hope for the Imperium in the Ultima Segmentum; it was the only stable foothold for the Imperium in this sector and the key bridge connecting the Far East to Terra.

After much thought, the only solution was to deploy the Ultramarines.

The High Lords of Terra issued an order, and a command to dispatch the Ultramarines was sent to Macragge in Ultramar.

Calgar looked at the secret letter handed to him by the Astropath.

The High Lords Council wanted him to lead the Ultramarines to purge the aliens.

After reading the High Lord's order, he just sneered a few times.

"Do you think the High Lords would really trust us to handle this matter alone?"

He turned his head and asked the Tech-Priest beside him.

This priest was permanently stationed with the Chapter, responsible for providing all maintenance and data support for the Chapter, and was also the link between the Chapter and the Adeptus Mechanicus.

"Cannot confirm. But based on past records, the probability is 0.9%."

Hearing this, Calgar already had the answer in his heart. He spoke slowly:

"I suspect the Inquisition has already secretly dispatched Black Ships, and they are probably watching our every move from the sidelines while we act."

The Tech-Priest beside him did not speak; these matters were clearly not for him to comment on.

Calgar ultimately decided to obey the High Lord's order.

Calgar immediately began to mobilize his forces.

Under Calgar's command, the entire Ultramar began to operate rapidly. Countless manpower, resources, weapons, and logistics were being prepared efficiently and orderly.

Within twelve hours, the elite forces from Ultramar completed an unprecedented assembly:

The 5th to 12th Companies of the Ultramarines Chapter, totaling seven hundred battle-ready Astartes, were fully armed and departed from the Fortress of Hera on Macragge, boarding the 'Fury of Wings'-class strike cruisers. They would serve as the spearhead of the entire fleet.

Accompanying them were forty Astra Militarum regiments, totaling over eight hundred million officers and soldiers.

The total scale of this massive fleet was conservatively estimated to be over 150 warships, including four strike cruisers, over twenty strike cruisers, dozens of regional fleet warships, and hundreds of various vessels from the Imperial Navy and allies, plus a large number of frigates and auxiliary ships.
