31: Chapter 31 Home

The dream star came to a complete stop again.

At this moment, Xia Xingchen finally reached the end of his voyage.

As the warship stabilized, Xia Xingchen looked down through the porthole.

A green planet appeared before his eyes, but unlike Earth, the verdant land on this planet almost completely covered the entire sphere, with only a small amount of ocean. At least, that's how it looked from space. What a unique planet!

Xia Xingchen's heart was filled with indescribable excitement; this planet was too beautiful.

Xia Xingchen was filled with emotion. He had experienced too much in the nearly two and a half months.

Even with a super warship in hand, Xia Xingchen lived like a stray dog, either on the run or preparing to run.

Xia Xingchen only had this one dream star. There was no place for repairs or docking, no logistics. If the warship had even a minor problem, or was damaged in battle, he could only weep helplessly where he was.

At this moment, the bridge was a flurry of activity, with everyone rapidly collecting various data for the entire star system.

Leovitos and Nuwa were also discussing in low voices, planning the development directions and task assignments for each planet in the star system.

Xia Xingchen glanced back at the busy crowd, not wanting to disturb them too much, and instead opened the system's chat panel.

By now, most of the Transmigrators had found their own bases. Among the remaining few, aside from a very small number who hadn't found a foothold, most had become Starship Civilizations, relying on warships to wander the universe and engage in trade.

[Brothers, I've found that our human appearance is simply the best pass. Many people on remote planets don't even check your identity information. As long as you look human, they're willing to trade with you.]

[Damn, how did the big shot do it? Take me with you!]

[It's simple. Look at what's abundant on these planets, buy it at a low price, then go to another planet where that item is scarce, and you'll definitely sell it for a high price. Just repeat the process.]

Xia Xingchen watched as someone in the system chat channel was even teaching others how to conduct interstellar trade.

The only trouble was that everyone's avatars in the system were mostly grayscale, and there was no fixed name display.

If you wanted others to know who you were, you had to attach your name when sending a message.

This seemed to be a self-balancing mechanism of the system, preventing Transmigrators from quickly establishing stable trust relationships, hindering the spread of effective information, and increasing the difficulty of information discernment.

After all, in the warhammer 40k universe, the Imperial Astropathic Choir transmitting an urgent message was affected by the Warp and many other factors, and often the information couldn't be transmitted at all.

But if this system existed, as long as people knew each other, a single message could be sent from one end of the galaxy to the other. Such efficiency and value were simply unimaginable.

Xia Xingchen roughly skimmed the remaining chat content. Only three things were truly important.

First, the Fortress Lord and Mecha King were already at daggers drawn, almost discussing whether to launch a crusade against each other.

Xia Xingchen just felt that these two guys were bluffing.

One relied on a fixed fortress to steadily advance, while the other could only rely on high mobility for guerrilla warfare. If they really launched a crusade, it would be tantamount to betting all their assets.

The other two matters were related to the Imperium.

Firstly, the Imperium had given these Transmigrators a designation: Lost Lambs.

The Imperial Ecclesiarchy believed that Transmigrators were a group of humans lost in unknown star systems of the galaxy, who had not been enlightened or illuminated by the Emperor's divine light, and thus wandered aimlessly like Lost Lambs.

Secondly, some lone wolves hidden on Terra had learned through special channels that:

The Department of Military Affairs was preparing to launch a comprehensive sweep of various star systems, with the goal of eradicating these "Lost Lambs." The time was tentatively set for three years later.

Xia Xingchen's face was bitter when he saw this message.

He wondered why the Imperium also had to get involved. Shouldn't they primarily be dealing with Chaos and Xenos?

Why are they targeting us, their fellow humans, instead?

Xia Xingchen's brows furrowed slightly, and his head began to throb faintly from intense thought.

Xia Xingchen knew all too well that if the Imperium truly went all out, the Imperial Navy alone would be enough to give him a hard time. At that point, he would probably only be able to pilot his warship and flee into the depths of the void without looking back.

Xia Xingchen quickly reassured himself not to panic.

Firstly, the Imperium's administrative efficiency was well-known (to be terrible);

Secondly, Imperial travel primarily relied on Warp routes. By the time their fleet actually arrived here, it might already be hundreds of years later;

Thirdly, M40.950-M40.970: Warp anomalies were frequent, and the Astropathic network suffered widespread deafness. At that time, the Imperium would have no time to deal with these Transmigrators.

Just as Xia Xingchen was lost in thought,

He felt two light taps on his left shoulder.

This pulled Xia Xingchen's thoughts back from his infinite hopes and imaginings for the future.

Nuwa saw that Xia Xingchen had finally turned his gaze to her, and then began to report the current situation to him.

Nuwa first used a holographic projection panel to outline the star map of the entire star system in front of Xia Xingchen.

"The entire star system revolves counter-clockwise around a Yellow Dwarf Star. From inside to outside, there are five celestial bodies. The first three are Rocky Planets, the fourth is a Gas Giant, and the outermost is an Ice Dwarf."

When speaking of the Gas Giant, Nuwa specifically highlighted it:

"This Gas Giant is surrounded by no less than ten moons, and according to our observations, it contains vast amounts of hydrogen and helium resources."

Xia Xingchen nodded upon hearing this. Clearly, this planet would become their industrial energy supply in the future.

Nuwa then introduced the outermost fifth planet to Xia Xingchen:

"This outermost planet is an Ice Dwarf. According to our observations, due to its distance from the star, the entire planet is essentially an icy hell, with its surface covered by hundreds of meters of thick ice."

After listening to Nuwa's introduction, Xia Xingchen carefully observed the star map of the system.

The first planet closest to the star appeared dark red on the optical map, scorched by the star. This was a Rocky Planet without an atmosphere, with extreme temperatures across its surface.

However, basic probes indicated that this planet contained a large amount of mineral resources, and in its high-temperature, high-pressure environment, many special minerals could easily form.

The second planet, which was the one they were currently looking at, had perfect conditions, with abundant water resources and vast plains. Basic observations showed that 15% of the planet's surface was water, and 85% was land. Of this 85% land, over 70% was plains, with extremely fertile soil, making it a perfect Agricultural Planet.

Here, it's necessary to explain the difference between an Agricultural Planet and a Hive World.
