11: Chapter 11 This child has extraordinary bone structure, perfect for flipping woks.

The surrounding clamor vanished instantly.

There was a moment of dead silence in the crowd, followed by an explosion of laughter.

"Pfft—New Oriental?"

"Oh man, I can't take it, that's just too cruel."

"Spending millions on an international kindergarten, only to end up learning how to stir-fry?"

Some of the surrounding parents clutched their stomachs, others slapped their thighs, and even the bodyguards couldn't help but turn away, their shoulders shaking with suppressed laughter.

Madam Zhang's face instantly turned a deep shade of purple.

"You! What nonsense are you talking!" Madam Zhang pulled her son behind her and pointed at Jiang Feng's nose. "Do you know how much we spend every year to cultivate him? Piano lessons, equestrianism, golf—just hiring private tutors costs two million a year! And you actually say he's a... cook?!"

The diamond necklace on her chest rose and fell with her rapid breathing.

"Scammer! He's definitely a scammer! Security! Where the hell is security!" Madam Zhang screamed.

Jiang Feng wasn't intimidated by her volume, remaining steadily seated on his small folding stool.

He lifted his eyelids, looking past the woman at the little chubby boy who was currently picking his nose.

"Madam, how much money you spend and where talent lies are two different things." Jiang Feng pointed to the chubby boy's wrist.

"Your son's wrist bones, though wrapped in fat, are wider than a normal person's if you feel them carefully, and the position of the radial styloid process is extremely flexible."

"In physiognomy, this is known as the 'Cloud-Turning Rain-Making Hand'."

Madam Zhang froze for a moment. "That sounds... rather impressive?"

"It is very impressive," Jiang Feng nodded. "This is a natural-born Master of Wok-Tossing. Furthermore, his finger joints are thick and short, his palms are fleshy and resistant to heat, and his temperature control is precise. Most importantly..."

Jiang Feng paused, looking at the chubby boy. "Little friend, are you happy playing the piano?"

Hao Hao, who had been squirming the whole time, stopped his movements.

"Not happy!" Hao Hao shouted loudly. "The piano sounds terrible! That metronome the teacher uses goes 'tick-tock-tick' and it's annoying as hell!"

Madam Zhang grew anxious. "Hao Hao! What nonsense are you saying! Didn't you just play 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' for Grandma yesterday?"

"That was just to trick Grandma into buying me a burger!" Hao Hao exposed her without mercy.

Another wave of laughter erupted from the crowd.

Jiang Feng asked again, "Then what do you like to do?"

Hao Hao suddenly perked up, dropping the mud in his hands.

"I like playing with mud! I knead the mud into little balls, nice and round!" Hao Hao gestured with his hands. "And, Mom, the food you cook tastes terrible! Really! It only tastes like salt!"

The color rushed to Madam Zhang's face, and she was left speechless.

Hao Hao grew more excited as he spoke:

"Auntie Zhang's braised pork is much better! I know the secret. When Auntie Zhang made it last time, I peeked. She put a big piece of yellow stone sugar into the pot, poured in some black water, and finally covered it with a lid to simmer for a long time!"

As soon as these words were spoken, the laughter around them stopped.

Parents who knew their way around a kitchen could tell that these were the key steps to making braised pork. For a five-year-old child to not only observe but also remember the details and even recount them was remarkable.

Jiang Feng looked at Madam Zhang. "Madam, your son's taste bud sensitivity is ten times that of an average person. His ability to analyze flavors is a gift from heaven. By forcing him to strike black and white keys, you are stifling a future three-star Michelin chef."

"This..." Madam Zhang looked at her son's excited face, an expression she had never seen when forcing him to practice the piano.

She suddenly remembered that the expensive German Steinway piano at home was covered in dust, while the child always loved to fiddle with the pots and pans in the kitchen.

Could it be... he really was destined to be a cook?

Though it was still hard to accept such a gap in her heart, the facts were right before her eyes.

Madam Zhang bit her lip and pulled a stack of pink banknotes from her limited-edition bag. There were about two thousand yuan; she didn't count them and simply threw them onto the blue cloth in front of Jiang Feng.

"You win!" She grabbed Hao Hao's hand and turned to leave, her footsteps a bit frantic.

Halfway through, she suddenly stopped, looked down, and asked her son, "Do you really... want to learn to cook?"

Hao Hao nodded vigorously. "Yes! I want to learn how to make big chicken legs!"

Madam Zhang sighed and muttered quietly, "I'll sign you up for a children's baking class when we get back and see..."

[Ding! Effective Divinations: 1/3]

The system notification sounded in his mind.

Jiang Feng gathered the stack of money and tucked it into his pocket.

The parents who had been watching the spectacle were no longer laughing.

"Hey, this guy actually has some skill."

"That fat kid usually only knows how to eat, but he actually spoke with quite some logic."

"Should we... give it a try?"

The crowd began to stir, and the sense of distance they had maintained vanished.

Parents began pushing and shoving to get to the front, all wanting the best spot.

"Master! Look at my daughter!"

"Master, my son has been dazing out lately. Could you see if he's cut out for scientific research?"

Jiang Feng ignored the noise; his eyes were on a man who was struggling to squeeze his way in.

This man wore gold-rimmed glasses and a well-tailored three-piece suit, his hair combed meticulously.

He was leading a little girl by the hand.

The girl wore a neat school uniform skirt, her back perfectly straight, with no expression on her face, standing completely still.

"Make way! Please make way!" The man pushed through the crowd and stood before Jiang Feng's small stall.

"Master, what happened just now wasn't much of a feat." The man adjusted his glasses. "That fat kid looks like a glutton at a glance; anyone could have guessed right."

Jiang Feng looked up at him.

"What do you want to calculate?"

"I don't need a calculation." The man pulled the girl behind him to the front, his chin slightly raised in pride. "I'm here to open your eyes. Everyone says you're divine; I want to see if you can recognize real gold."

He pointed at the girl. "This is my daughter, Lin Xiaoman. The school's recognized genius girl. She finished memorizing the Three Hundred Tang Poems at three, could do three-digit mental multiplication and division at five, and is currently self-studying calculus."

A low gasp rippled through the surroundings.

"So this is Lin Xiaoman? I've heard of her, she's a child prodigy."

"She was first in the last Math Olympiad, wasn't she?"

"Does this even need a reading? She's clearly destined for Tsinghua or Peking University."

The man puffed out his chest as he listened to the discussion.

"Master, why don't you read her bones? See if she's the reincarnation of Einstein or Madame Curie?"

Jiang Feng didn't respond.

He looked at the girl named Lin Xiaoman.

The girl was only five or six, but her face lacked the liveliness a child should have; it was a total blank.

She stood there with her hands folded in front of her in a standard posture, motionless.

Jiang Feng reached out his hand.

The man instinctively wanted to stop him, but remembering it was for a bone-reading, he withdrew his hand.

Jiang Feng's palm gently covered the back of the girl's head.

It was somewhat cold.

The girl flinched slightly but didn't dodge.

At the moment of contact, Jiang Feng's fingers covering the girl's head stiffened.

In his system vision, there was no golden light representing talent, nor was there the red code representing a specialty like Hao Hao had.

The area of her cerebral cortex showed a grayish-white color, a sign of exhaustion from overuse.

Between her brows, a mass of thick black mist was coiled.

[Skeletal Development: Delayed (Malnutrition/Stress Overload)]

[Brain State: High-frequency memory area overheated, logic area almost unactivated]

[Psychological State: Extreme fear, people-pleasing personality, precursor to dissociative disorder]

[Talent Judgment: Disguise (S-rank), Mechanical Memory (A-rank)]

Jiang Feng's hand lingered on the back of the girl's head for a long time, so long that the man grew impatient.

"What? Can't read it?" The man sneered. "Have you never seen such a top-tier skeletal structure?"

Jiang Feng slowly withdrew his hand.

He looked at the man's face, full of confidence and vanity, then looked down at the motionless girl.

The girl noticed Jiang Feng looking at her, and her lips twitched, revealing a standard "obedient smile" that had been practiced countless times.

Jiang Feng picked up the thermos on the table and unscrewed the lid.

"She's not a genius." Jiang Feng took a sip of water to moisten his dry throat.

"She's a Best Actress."
