25: Chapter 25: Buying a car with cash, only the expensive ones, not necessarily the right ones.

South City Auto Park.

It gathered 4S dealerships of major luxury brands.

The Mercedes star rotated, and Porsche's glass curtain walls reflected the light.

The ambulance did not stop in front of these stores, but instead turned into a high-end comprehensive showroom for lexus and Toyota.

The car door opened.

Jiang Feng jumped out.

He was still wearing that same hoodie, with slightly deformed sneakers on his feet, bandages on his hands, and his face was still pale.

"Thanks." Jiang Feng waved to the ambulance driver.

The ambulance drove away.

Jiang Feng stood at the showroom entrance.

The glass sensor doors slid open to both sides, and a blast of cold air hit his face.

The showroom was very quiet.

The sales staff, dressed in crisp uniforms, were gathered in twos and threes chatting.

Seeing Jiang Feng enter, a few gazes swept over him, then quickly looked away.

No one came up to greet him.

After working in this industry for a long time, the sales staff had developed a sharp eye.

Jiang Feng's entire outfit didn't add up to two hundred yuan, and his complexion looked like he had just recovered from a major illness; no matter how you looked at it, he didn't seem like someone who could afford a car.

At most, he was just here to mooch off the air conditioning, or was a low-level worker from the repair shop next door.

Jiang Feng didn't care.

He was very tired now; the scene just now had drained a lot of his energy.

He walked straight to the center of the showroom.

A huge black MPV was parked there.

The lexus lm, commonly known as the "King of Markups."

This car wasn't about cost-effectiveness; it was only about status and comfort.

Jiang Feng pulled open the sliding side door.

The car had a four-seat layout.

In the back, there were only two wide, airline-style seats, separated by a huge privacy screen in the middle.

He sat down.

The seats were soft, and the leather was fine.

Jiang Feng pressed the button on the armrest.

The seat slowly reclined, the footrest rose, and the massage function started.

"Whew…"

Jiang Feng let out a long breath.

The pain in his back eased significantly.

"What are you doing!"

A shout came from somewhere.

A man with slicked-back hair and a name tag that read "Sales Supervisor" walked over quickly.

He frowned, looking at Jiang Feng with an expression of disgust.

"Sir, this is a display car, you can't just sit in it." The supervisor pointed at the car door, "Besides, if you dirty this car, you can't afford to pay for it, get down immediately."

Jiang Feng didn't move.

He closed his eyes, feeling the roller massage on his back.

"I want some water." Jiang Feng said.

The supervisor laughed in anger: "Water? Turn right outside and there's a convenience store. We don't provide free water here. Security! Where is security?"

Two security guards in the distance walked over upon hearing the sound.

Just then, a girl who looked like she had just graduated walked over holding a paper cup.

She was timid, and her uniform was a bit big, making it seem ill-fitting.

"Sir… have some water." The girl handed over the paper cup; it was warm water.

The supervisor glared at the girl: "Xiao Liu, who told you to meddle in this? Inviting this kind of person in affects the mood of other customers!"

The girl lowered her head, not daring to speak, but her hand still persistently held out the water cup.

Jiang Feng opened his eyes.

He took the cup and took a sip.

The warm liquid flowed down his throat, feeling very comfortable.

"Is this car available in stock?" Jiang Feng asked the girl.

The girl was stunned for a moment: "Ah? There is… there is one. But there's a markup, and you have to wait…"

"I want this one." Jiang Feng pointed to the seat beneath him, "I don't mind that this one has been sat in by others. As long as I can drive it away immediately."

The supervisor let out a scoff from the side: "Buddy, do you know how much this car costs? It's nearly two million after taxes. Are you feverish and confused?"

Jiang Feng put down the water cup.

He rummaged in his pocket for a while.

The supervisor and the security guards all crossed their arms and watched him, waiting to see what kind of joke he would pull out.

Jiang Feng pulled out a black card.

There were no complex patterns, only a string of golden numbers.

He slapped the card onto the armrest between the two seats, making a crisp "snap" sound.

"Swipe the card."

Jiang Feng looked at the supervisor, his eyes as calm as if he were looking at a fly.

"Full payment, process the paperwork, I'm in a rush."

The air was silent for two seconds.

The supervisor's gaze fell on the card in the car.

He didn't recognize what bank card it was, but the texture clearly didn't look fake.

The girl, Xiao Liu, scrambled to pick up the card: "Si… Sir, I'll go get the POS machine."

One minute later.

"Beep—"

The POS machine spat out a long transaction receipt.

Transaction successful.

2.15 million.

The supervisor's face instantly turned the color of a pig's liver.

His mouth opened, but he couldn't make a sound.

Over two million, just like that?

Without even asking the price?

The entire showroom was in an uproar.

The manager ran out from his office, the fat on his face trembling.

"Oh! A distinguished guest! A distinguished guest!" The manager shoved the stunned supervisor aside, leaning toward the car door with a face full of smiles, "Hello, sir, I am the manager here. Please excuse our earlier neglect, don't take it to heart. This car…"

"Hurry up with the paperwork." Jiang Feng didn't look at him, pointing at the still-dazed girl, Xiao Liu, "The commission goes to her."

The manager nodded repeatedly: "No problem! Absolutely no problem! Xiao Liu, hurry! Go process the paperwork for the gentleman! Use the fastest speed!"

Xiao Liu was so excited her hands were shaking; the commission for this order was worth a year of her salary.

"One more thing." Jiang Feng sat up straight, "I don't have a driver's license. Do you provide a driver here?"

"This…" The manager hesitated for a moment, "We usually only include decorations and maintenance…"

"I'll pay the salary." Jiang Feng said, "Twenty thousand a month. Requirements: talk less, drive steadily, and have strength. If I faint, be able to carry me to the hospital."

In the corner of the showroom, a security guard who was organizing anti-riot forks looked up.

This was a middle-aged man with a buzz cut, dark skin, and a scar on his temple.

Although he was wearing a security uniform, his spirit was clearly different.

"I can drive." The security guard walked over.

Just as the manager was about to scold him, Jiang Feng raised his hand to stop him.

"Were you a soldier?" Jiang Feng asked.

"Retired scout, just call me Old Chen." The man's voice was low.

"What kind of vehicles have you driven before?"

"Big trucks, small cars, tanks, armored vehicles."

Jiang Feng smiled.

"You're the one." Jiang Feng threw the car keys to Old Chen, "Resign, come with me. You start tonight."

Old Chen caught the keys, his movements very steady.

Without a word, he took off his security uniform, revealing the black vest underneath and a body full of toned muscle.

"Let's go."

An hour later.

Twilight gathered.

A brand new black lexus lm drove out of the park.

It didn't have license plates yet, hanging temporary plates.

Jiang Feng lay in the back seat, holding a burger and cola he had just asked Old Chen to buy.

The car was very quiet, and the soundproofing was excellent.

The chassis suspension filtered out all the bumps on the road.

"Boss, where to?" Old Chen held the steering wheel, looking straight ahead.

Jiang Feng took a bite of the burger.

The caloric intake gave him a little strength.

"Starlight Media building."

Jiang Feng glanced at the time on his phone.

20:30.

There was half an hour left until the task started.

"The task isn't over yet." Jiang Feng swallowed the food, "There is one last fortune to tell. Since Boss Li wants to know his fortune so badly, let's go and make it clear for him."

Old Chen didn't ask why.

He pressed the accelerator, and the massive car body slid smoothly into the evening rush hour traffic.
