21: Chapter 21: Out of ten, you're only worth three.

Beneath the Starlight Media building.

This was a city that never slept.

A massive LED screen covered the entire wall, looping polished videos of popular Streamers.

The light pollution was severe, with neon lights staining the night sky a deep violet-red.

The plaza was packed with people.

Hundreds of tripods were densely lined up, resembling a forest of steel.

Behind every tripod stood a girl with exquisite makeup, or a man wearing heavy makeup.

Countless ring lights were on, casting a ghastly pale glow on their faces.

The noisy clamor converged into a massive wave of sound.

"Family! Thank you to the top-ranked brother for the rocket!"

"Follow the Streamer so you don't get lost; the Streamer will take you onto the fast lane!"

"Tap the hearts! If the hearts break ten thousand, I'll wash my hair while doing a handstand!"

Jiang Feng sat in the shadows beside a flower bed.

A young man with yellow-dyed hair, who had been shouting into his phone, stopped, glanced sideways at Jiang Feng, and shuffled two steps away with a look of disgust.

Jiang Feng ignored him.

He took out his paint-chipped folding stool, unfolded it, and sat down.

Finally, he pulled out a piece of cardboard and fixed it to the step in front of him with clear tape.

【Physiognomy Scoring, Only Speaking the Truth】

【Ten-point scale, three readings and I close shop】

The handwriting was done with a thick black marker, looking quite perfunctory.

Jiang Feng unscrewed his thermos and took a sip of water.

9:05.

Not a single customer yet.

No one paid attention to the fortune-telling stall in the corner that looked ghastlier than a ghost.

Until a commotion erupted from the building entrance.

Several bodyguards in black suits pushed through the crowd, clearing a path.

"Move! Everyone move!"

A woman walked in the middle.

She wore a white, tight-fitting camisole dress, draped with a pink fur coat over it.

Her hair was meticulously styled into long, straight black locks, and her skin reflected the light, appearing deathly white.

She was An'an Jiang.

With fifteen million followers across the web, she was a top-tier female Streamer hailed as the "ceiling of pure desire."

She had just finished her stream, still holding her phone as she conducted the tail end of her outdoor broadcast.

"Family, I'm so tired today, just got out of the building."

An'an Jiang turned to the camera, her voice shifting into a cloyingly sweet, affected tone, her body swaying gently to the rhythm of her speech.

"Want to see me take off my makeup? Oh, you're so annoying, I'm actually bare-faced today..."

She passed the flower bed, her peripheral vision sweeping over Jiang Feng's stall.

She stopped in her tracks.

An'an Jiang looked at the crude cardboard, then at Jiang Feng sitting in the shadows.

That "Divine Fortune Teller" had been very popular on the internet lately.

He had even overshadowed her popularity.

Should she ride his coattails?

An'an Jiang blinked at the camera: "Family, look what I've found? A master! I heard that popular fortune-telling guy has been around here lately? Could it be him?"

She adjusted her phone angle, framing Jiang Feng into the shot as well.

The livestream chat exploded instantly.

【Damn! Black windbreaker! Small folding stool!】

【It really looks like that Divine Fortune Teller!】

【An'an, go! Let him read for you! Let him see what a real fairy looks like!】

An'an Jiang watched the rapidly scrolling comments and the rising number of viewers, the corners of her mouth curling up.

She clicked over to Jiang Feng on her ten-centimeter high heels.

A strong scent of gardenia perfume wafted over.

Jiang Feng lifted his eyelids.

"Master?"

An'an Jiang bent down, her neckline dipping low, displaying her cleavage that she was so proud of to Jiang Feng.

"I heard you're very accurate at scoring? Why don't you give my face a score?"

She brought her face closer; her skin was so smooth that no pores were visible, and her eyes were so large they took up half her face.

"Out of ten, how many points do I get?"

An'an Jiang was full of confidence.

She was a recognized beauty, with plastic surgeons calling her the perfect template.

The surrounding minor influencers stopped their streams and gathered around, pointing their phone cameras this way.

Jiang Feng looked at that face.

The system interface unfolded on his retina.

Red lines began to outline the woman's facial contours, and data streams cascaded down like a waterfall.

【Bone structure scan complete.】

【Mandible angle: Artificial osteotomy (2mm bilateral asymmetry).】

【Nasal bridge: Silicone implant + ear cartilage tip (abnormal light transmission).】

【Eyes: Epicanthoplasty, lateral canthoplasty, blepharoplasty (aging suture marks).】

【Facial fillers: Forehead, temples, apple cheeks, chin (excessive hyaluronic acid injection, tendency to migrate).】

【Actual bone age: 42 years old.】

The light in Jiang Feng's eyes dimmed slightly.

The face that had seemed perfect now looked like a pieced-together, crumbling mask in his eyes.

"Two points."

Jiang Feng spoke.

His voice wasn't loud, but it had immense penetrating power in the noisy plaza.

The smile on An'an Jiang's face froze.

The comments in the livestream stalled for a second, then went wild.

【Two points?!】

【Are you blind? An'an's face is only worth two points?】

【Is this master here to be funny? Or is he just trying to get attention?】

【Hahaha, what the hell, two points? That's not even as high as my dog's score.】

An'an Jiang straightened up, her expression darkening, though she maintained that delicate, affected tone.

"Master, did you see wrong? Is the light too dim?"

She tossed her hair: "I'll give you another chance, take a good look."

Jiang Feng screwed the lid on his thermos, making a crisp click.

"I'd give you one more point, but I'm afraid you'd get arrogant."

Jiang Feng pointed at her chin.

"That tip is crooked."

An'an Jiang subconsciously touched her chin.

"Your mandible has been shaved three times; it can't hold the flesh anymore. Now it's all held up by thread lifts; there are more protein threads under your skin than there are loose threads on your clothes."

Jiang Feng spoke with a steady pace, without any emotional fluctuation, as if he were stating a post-mortem report.

"And your husband and wife palace."

Jiang Feng pointed at her temples.

"Too many fillers, pressing on the nerves. You've been having migraines lately, haven't you?"

"Most importantly..."

Jiang Feng looked into her eyes.

"You are forty-two years old this year."

An'an Jiang's body gave a violent jolt.

"Nonsense!"

She shrieked, her cloyingly sweet, affected voice vanishing instantly, replaced by a harsh, grating, duck-like croak.

"I'm eighteen! I'm all-natural!"

She turned the phone camera toward herself: "Family, judge for yourselves! This person is a fraud! Do I look forty-two?"

Jiang Feng ignored her hysteria.

"Your bone age can't lie. Cervical spondylosis, lumbar disc herniation—these are from long-term desk work and wearing high heels, accumulated over at least twenty years."

"Big sister, how much longer are you going to pretend to be an eighteen-year-old girl?"

Jiang Feng looked at the fine lines around the corners of her eyes that even Botox couldn't hide.

"Your three children at home probably barely recognize this face of yours anymore, right?"

This sentence was like a heavy hammer blow.

An'an Jiang's face turned deathly pale in an instant; even her foundation couldn't cover that pallor.

She had two daughters and a son, the oldest of whom was already in college.

This was a secret she guarded with her life.

Even her agency didn't know.

"You... you..."

An'an Jiang pointed at Jiang Feng, her finger trembling violently.

The surroundings fell into a deathly silence.

The onlookers, minor influencers, gaped, forgetting to even hold up their phones.

The legend of that "Divine Fortune Teller" was true.

An'an Jiang looked at the strange gazes of those around her, and at the comments flooding her livestream: 【Old hag】, 【Fraud】, 【Give back the money】.

Her mental state collapsed.

"Ah—!"

She let out a piercing scream, covered her face, and turned to run.

Her high heels made a chaotic clattering sound on the ground.

Halfway through her run, one of her shoes flew off.

She didn't pick it up, running barefoot and stumbling toward the minivan parked by the roadside.

【Ding! Valid fortune-telling count: 1/3】

The system notification sound rang in his mind.

Jiang Feng sat back down on his small folding stool.

The brief silence in the plaza was broken.

The group of Streamers who had originally just been watching the spectacle changed their gazes.

It was the look of sharks smelling blood.

If it were fake, they would mock him.

If it were real...

This was a master who could see through everything!

"Master! Look at me! Give me a score!"

"I'll pay! I want to have my career path read!"

"Master, what's my score? Can I become famous?"

The crowd surged forward like a tide.

Countless faces caked in makeup crowded in front of Jiang Feng, and countless lenses were shoved almost right up to the tip of his nose.

Jiang Feng frowned.

He smelled a nauseating scent of greed.
