85: Chapter 85 The God of Gamblers' "Qi" Leaks

Zhao Yi listened, the muscles on his face twitching slightly.

Jiang Feng grinned.

"Let's go, Captain Zhao."

Jiang Feng put away the card, stuffed the small folding stool into his canvas bag, and turned to walk out the door.

The bodyguards outside immediately made way. As they watched Jiang Feng, their expressions shifted from vigilance to curiosity and bewilderment.

"What do they take us for?" Zhao Yi followed behind Jiang Feng, lowering his voice. "A cash cow?"

Jiang Feng glanced at him.

"No, more like circus monkeys." He shrugged.

The two walked through the corridor and took the elevator to the third-floor entertainment area.

This was the liveliest place on the neptune.

Men and women of all skin colors, dressed in luxury, were ecstatic, dejected, cursing, or cheering.

They gathered around the gambling tables, eyes fixed on the spinning numbers.

Jiang Feng was in no rush to set up his stall.

He leaned against a decorative pillar, crossed his arms, and closed his eyes.

"Brother Jiang, isn't it too noisy here?" Zhao Yi shouted, leaning close to his ear.

"It's supposed to be noisy." Jiang Feng opened his eyes.

He activated the Lingxi Ear, filtering out most of the external clamor.

Leaving only the sounds he needed. At the same time, he activated Gazing at Qi and Observing Fortune.

Jiang Feng saw the casino shrouded in colorful "Qi".

Green represented greed, red represented ecstasy, and gray represented despair.

These Qi intertwined in the air, forming a huge vortex.

"Tsk tsk, the 'Qi' in this place is truly chaotic," Jiang Feng muttered to himself. "I need to find someone with the weakest 'Qi' to start with, for it to be effective."

Jiang Feng took out his small folding stool and canvas sign from the canvas bag.

He found an open space between the crowd, facing the main casino floor, with his back against a closed metal door.

Jiang Feng unfolded the small stool, which made a "snap" sound. He unfurled the canvas sign that read "Iron-Mouthed Fortune Teller" and carefully hung it on the nearby railing.

This sudden movement caused the surrounding gamblers to stop what they were doing.

They looked over with a mix of curiosity and disdain.

A scantily clad dealer, chewing gum, blew a bubble at Jiang Feng.

"Yo, little fresh meat, are you here for some fun?"

Jiang Feng ignored her.

He sat on the small stool, crossed his legs, and closed his eyes to rest.

He knew that in a place like this, shouting wouldn't work; he had to let his skills do the talking.

He activated Gazing at Qi and Observing Fortune again.

He looked toward a gambling table where a group of people had gathered.

In the center of the crowd stood an elderly man with white hair.

The old man wore an elegant kimono, had a stern face, and a straight posture.

There wasn't much expression on his face, but Jiang Feng could see the fortune above his head dissipating.

A streak of grayish-black aura of defeat was constantly leaking from him.

The old man had very few chips left in his hand, and following the dealer's words, he pushed out his last few chips.

The dealer flipped over the cards and announced the result: "Dealer wins."

All the chips in the old man's hand were swept away by the dealer.

He really wanted to shout, "I want to verify the cards," but thought better of it.

He just sighed softly, straightened the hem of his kimono, and prepared to leave.

A young attendant beside him immediately stepped forward and respectfully handed him a wet towel.

Jiang Feng glanced at the "Qi" above the old man's head, which had almost completely dissipated, and felt confident.

You're the one.

He stood up and walked to the gambling table.

"Sir, please stay."

The old man stopped and turned around to examine Jiang Feng.

His murky gaze carried displeasure.

"Something?" he asked hoarsely.

"Your gate of wealth has been broken," Jiang Feng said without beating around the bush. "If you continue to gamble, I'm afraid you'll even lose your ticket home."

The old man raised an eyebrow, his displeasure deepening.

"Young man, I, Pearson, have dominated the gambling world for thirty years. Since when is it your turn to teach me how to do things?"

"Arrogant," the attendant beside him shouted in more fluent Chinese.

The people around them gasped when they heard the name "Pearson."

Some guests who were focused on their games also looked over.

Pearson!

This name was a legend in the gambling world. He had once set a record of thirty-seven consecutive wins with his superb card skills, a record that had yet to be broken.

The clamor inside the casino subsided at this moment.

People wanted to see how this ignorant, reckless kid would handle the situation.

Seeing that Jiang Feng didn't respond, Pearson's attendant took a step forward, wanting to say something more.

Pearson raised his hand to stop the attendant.

He looked Jiang Feng over again, his gaze filled with disdain.

"Young man, you certainly have a sharp tongue." Pearson snorted coldly and pulled a pure gold chip from his pocket.

This chip was a size larger than a normal one, engraved with a dragon totem, and shone under the lights. He slapped the chip onto the gambling table with a "snap."

"This chip symbolizes my honor." Pearson pointed at Jiang Feng, his words carrying a hint of humiliation.

"If you can tell me why I lost, this chip is yours. If you can't, then crawl out of here."

The surrounding gamblers burst into laughter.

This was a direct provocation.

Jiang Feng didn't look at the gold chip.

He reached out and pointed at the young attendant behind Pearson who had been serving tea and water.

The attendant froze and took a half-step back.

"Your 'Qi' didn't leak on its own; it was stolen by him."

The attendant's face turned deathly pale.

He gripped the tray tightly, his body starting to tremble.

Pearson's gaze became sharp.

He turned around and stared at his attendant. He tucked the gold chip back into his pocket.

"What nonsense are you spouting?" The attendant tried to defend himself, his voice wavering.

Jiang Feng ignored the attendant and looked at Pearson, a hint of disdain on his face.

"Sir, you have a habitual action before every bet."

Jiang Feng mimicked Pearson's action, tapping the edge of the gambling table lightly.

"For you, this action is a habit to concentrate."

"But for your attendant, it's your signal device." Jiang Feng pointed at the attendant.

"When you tap the table, he uses the reflection in the mirror behind you to see the subtle changes in your gestures and deduce your hole cards."

He continued, "Then, he uses a specially made invisible earpiece to transmit this information to the dealer opposite you. Once the dealer receives the signal, they will use the dealing rhythm or coincidences in the cards to precisely defeat you."

"Simply put, you've been set up."

Jiang Feng's words shocked everyone present.

They looked at the mirror behind Pearson, then at the attendant.

Sweat began to form on the attendant's forehead, his lips trembling. He wanted to retort but couldn't say a word.

"You!" Pearson roared, turning around and pointing at the attendant.

The attendant fell to his knees with a "thud."

His tight pant leg suddenly loosened.

A grain-sized micro earpiece slid out from his pant leg and fell to the floor.

The whole room was in an uproar. The gamblers whispered to each other, looking at the attendant with disdain.

Zhao Yi, standing not far away, saw this scene, his eyes widening behind his sunglasses.

His heart tightened; Jiang Feng was truly bold and skilled.

Pearson didn't rush to deal with the traitor; he just stared at the attendant, his gaze sharp.

A few seconds later, he withdrew his gaze and turned back to face Jiang Feng.

For the first time, a complex expression appeared on his stern face.

He walked up to Jiang Feng, bent down, and bowed deeply to him.

With his head lowered, he asked in a hoarse voice, "Master, can my gate of wealth still be repaired?"
