13: Chapter 13 A Billion-Dollar Heir? No, He's a Money-Spraying Gentleman.

Jiang Feng looked at the elderly woman in front of him.

Behind her, four bodyguards in black suits stood spread out, their backs to the crowd, forcibly creating a cleared space three meters in diameter.

The surrounding noise noticeably quieted down.

Jiang Feng put the unfinished melon seeds in his hand back into his pocket.

“Calculate if he can take over the business.” The old lady thumped her dragon-head cane on the ground, letting out a dull thud. “See if this boy has what it takes to protect the Shen Family's empire.”

Standing by the old lady's leg was a Little boy, wearing a custom-made small suit with a slightly crooked bowtie.

He was about to stick his finger into his nostril when the old lady slapped the back of his hand, causing him to immediately pull it back.

But he didn't care at all, his eyes fixed on an ant next to Jiang Feng's stall.

This was the only scion of the Shen Family, Young Master Shen.

“How much do you charge?”

“Pay whatever you like.” Jiang Feng pointed to the small folding stool in front of him. “Let him sit down.”

The old lady gave her grandson a push.

The Little boy moved over reluctantly and plopped down on the peeling stool, wiggling his bottom as if complaining it was too hard.

Jiang Feng reached out his hand.

“I need to perform a Osteomancy.”

The bodyguard behind the old lady immediately took a step forward, reaching into his jacket.

The old lady raised her hand and stopped the bodyguard: “Let him.”

Jiang Feng's palm covered the top of the Little boy's head.

The touch was warm, and the hair was fine and soft.

Several lines of red text appeared directly before Jiang Feng's eyes.

[Bone Structure Scan Complete]

[Parietal Bone: Flat and broad without ridges, lacks the aura of authority.]

[Occipital Bone: 'Lianshan' unformed, difficult to inherit the ancestral business.]

[wealth palace (Alae Nasi): Exposed nostrils, thin alae nasi, a typical 'Funnel Balefulness'.]

[Palmistry Features: Wide gaps between fingers, flat and thin palm, no 'Treasure Basin' structure.]

[Yima Star (Forehead Corners): Highly prominent, indicates wandering, instability, and long-distance travel.]

[Fate Determination: Wealth-Squandering Boy (S-rank), Top-tier Explorer (A-rank), Family Spendthrift (SS-rank).]

Jiang Feng's hand stayed on the back of the boy's head for three seconds before sliding down his spine.

The spine was agile, but the child had no posture whatsoever.

Jiang Feng withdrew his hand and took out a wet wipe from his pocket to clean it.

“Old Madam.” Jiang Feng looked directly at the elderly woman. “According to custom, I must ask you one thing...”

“I'm already seventy; I don't have time for nonsense.” The old lady signaled for him to speak plainly.

“This child cannot take over the business.”

Several parents eavesdropping nearby stopped their conversation.

Several bodyguards tensed up, their jawlines tightening.

The old lady's grip on the cane tightened, her knuckles turning white.

“Reason.”

Jiang Feng pointed at the Little boy's hand.

“You can look at your grandson's hands. The fingers are long and the palms are thin; when closed, a piece of cardstock could fit through the gaps between his fingers. This is a natural Wealth-Leaking Hand—water leaves no trace, and gold leaves no sound.”

He pointed at the boy's forehead corners again.

“And his Yima Star. The bone here is highly prominent and shiny. This indicates that he cannot be suppressed in his core; he cannot stay in this city, and he certainly cannot stay in an office.”

“If you force a ten-billion-dollar family fortune into his hands and compel him to sit in the chairman's office signing documents...”

Jiang Feng paused, looking at the Little boy who was currently trying to step on an ant with the tip of his leather shoe.

“Within ten years, he would sell the Shen Group to buy a ticket for a trip around the world, or mortgage a subsidiary just to go to Antarctica to see penguins.”

The wrinkles on the old lady's face bunched up, and her complexion turned pale.

“You mean my Shen Family's only grandson is a spendthrift?”

The bodyguards took another step forward, their shadows completely covering Jiang Feng's small stall.

Jiang Feng sat on the stool, his posture unchanged.

“Being a spendthrift is relative.” Jiang Feng picked up his thermos. “In the business world, he is a spendthrift. But in other fields, he is a genius.”

“What field?”

“The field of spending money.” Jiang Feng spoke at a steady pace. “He is naturally sensitive to novel things and full of curiosity about the unknown. If your family's wealth is more than enough for several lifetimes, letting him spend it is actually an act of accumulating merit.”

“He will become a top-tier explorer or a philanthropist. The wealth he disperses will be exchanged for reputation and experience. But if you insist on him making money, he will only lose all of your life savings.”

Silence fell all around.

The old lady stared intently at Jiang Feng, not blinking for a long time.

After a while, she lowered her head and looked at her grandson, who had been silent all along.

“Xiaobao,” the old lady spoke, “do you want to be the chairman?”

The usually slouching Young Master Shen suddenly looked up.

“Grandma, can a chairman go catch lions?”

The old lady paused: “No.”

“Then I won't be one.” The boy shook his head rapidly. “I want to go to Africa! I want to go to Antarctica! I even want to go to Mars! This stupid kindergarten is so boring, I have to memorize books every day!”

The boy's cheeks flushed with excitement.

That was an expression he had never shown at home.

Usually, this child was always listless, but only just now, when talking about going to Africa, did he truly come alive.

“Wealth-Squandering Boy...”

The old lady murmured to herself, repeating Jiang Feng's words.

Suddenly, she threw her head back and laughed out loud.

“Hahaha! Good! What a Wealth-Squandering Boy!”

The old lady struck the ground heavily with her cane.

“My Shen Family has been in business for three generations. If the estate we've built up can't even support one Wealth-Squandering Boy, then these decades of work were all for nothing!”

She turned around and looked at Jiang Feng.

“Young man, you are the first person who dared to call my grandson a spendthrift to my face.”

The old lady gestured to the bodyguard beside her.

The bodyguard immediately took out a gold-embossed business card and a black card, handing them over with both hands.

“Take it.” The old lady threw the items onto Jiang Feng's blue cloth. “If you encounter trouble in the future, just give the Shen Family's name.”

Jiang Feng didn't take the black card or look at the business card. Instead, he quickly grabbed the four corners of the blue cloth and bundled it toward the center, wrapping up the melon seed shells, the cardboard, and the two thousand yuan left by Madam Zhang earlier all at once.

“I'm off work.”

Jiang Feng stood up, stuffed the bundle of miscellaneous items into his canvas bag, and tucked the small stool under his arm.

His movements were extremely practiced, without a half-second's pause.

“Eh?” The old lady was stunned. “You don't want the money?”

“The three divinations are complete; I won't wait past the time.”

Jiang Feng waved his hand with his back to the old lady, leaving the black card on the concrete ground.

“Money is an extra karmic tie; if there's too much, I can't bear it.”

After saying that, he ducked into the crowd that hadn't dispersed yet—a wall of flesh made of parents and bodyguards.

With his thin frame, he squeezed out quickly.

Text flickered before his eyes.

[Ding! Task completed.]

[Settlement Reward: Brain cancer cell activity reduced by 10%, remaining lifespan increased by 40 days.]

[Cash Reward: 3,000,000.00 yuan has been deposited.]

Jiang Feng's pace quickened. The feeling of a heavy stone pressing on his lungs vanished, his breathing became smooth, and he even felt like giving the hood of that Rolls-Royce a couple of pats.

He hailed a taxi that had just dropped off a passenger, opened the door, and ducked inside.

“Driver, anywhere is fine, just get out of this street first.”

The taxi drove away.

At the kindergarten entrance, a group of people stared blankly at the black card on the ground with a five-million-limit.

The old lady of the Shen Family looked in the direction Jiang Feng disappeared, bent over to pick up the card, and lightly flicked its surface.

“Quite interesting.”
