200: Chapter 200 Paternity Test Report

A yellow and green taxi was parked diagonally on the side of the road, its front wheel nearly hitting a fire hydrant.

The car door was pushed open forcefully from the inside, slamming into the body with a "bang." The taxi driver swore from the front seat.

Three people emerged from the car, pulling and pushing at each other.

Leading the way was a young man in his late twenties with a buzz cut, wearing a black sports jacket. His face was flushed red, and he was muttering curses.

One of his hands gripped the arm of a man in his sixties behind him. The old man was dragged along, stumbling and nearly tripping on the curb.

Following behind was a young woman with short hair and heavy makeup. Her high heels clicked on the ground, and she was talking incessantly.

"Hurry up! Stop dawdling!"

"Take your junk and move out already! Xiao Hui and I are having our wedding banquet at the end of the month, and the house needs to be renovated!"

The two of them cursed at the old man as they walked, pointing at his nose. Their voices were loud enough for half the street to hear.

The owner of the steamed bun shop dropped a garlic clove from her hand, her mouth hanging wide open.

The old man at the fruit stall was jolted awake from his nap and tilted his head to watch.

Several passersby glanced over; some shook their heads and sighed, while others took out their phones to record.

The young man dragged the old man to Jiang Feng's fortune-telling stall and slammed a rolled-up A4 document onto the table with a "thwack."

The thermos was jolted two inches to the side.

"You're a fortune teller, right?"

The young man slapped the table, his face full of rage.

"Come on! You judge this for me!"

Jiang Feng didn't even lift his eyelids. He reached out to steady the thermos and moved it to a safe spot at the corner of the table.

"What are you doing?"

Security personnel from Xingchen Security walked over, attempting to stop the irritable young man.

Jiang Feng waved his hand, signaling that it wasn't a big deal.

"Young man, a divination costs fifty yuan. Pay first, then we talk."

The young man paused, pulled a fifty-yuan bill from his pocket, and slapped it on the table.

"Fine! Fifty it is! Take a look for me!"

He pointed at the old man beside him, who was gasping for breath; his finger almost poked the old man's face.

"This old geezer isn't my biological father!"

He flipped open the document on the table and flattened it forcefully.

The red hospital seal was glaring.

A paternity test report issued by the Forensic Identification Center of Jinghai City First People's Hospital.

In the conclusion column, it was written in black and white: "Confirmed no biological blood relationship."

"See that? Black and white! No! Blood! Relationship!"

Every word the young man spat out was like a nail being hammered.

"No wonder I've never seen my mother! I must have been kidnapped by him! I've been separated from my biological parents for over twenty years!"

"He even lied and told me my mother went abroad and never came back!"

He grew more agitated as he spoke, his finger trembling as he pointed at the old man.

"It must have been when my mother just gave birth to me that this old bachelor kidnapped me! Twenty-six years! For twenty-six years, I haven't even known what my own mother looks like!"

The young woman standing behind him chimed in.

"Exactly! A lonely old man kidnaps someone else's child and raises him, and now he wants to squat in our wedding house and live off us? By what right?"

She sneered, crossing her arms as she looked at the old man.

"If you have any shame left, be sensible. Take your junk, pack your bags, and get out. Don't wait for us to throw your things away."

The old man stood by the fortune-telling stall, his back heavily hunched, his legs trembling slightly inside his trousers.

He wore an old jacket with two symmetrical shiny patches worn into the elbows, and the collar hung loosely above his collarbones.

His lips were chapped, and he stammered several times before finally squeezing out a sentence.

"Xiao Hui, Dad really isn't a human trafficker!"

"Don't call me Xiao Hui! You're not worthy!"

The young man roared. The old man's body shook, and his head hung even lower.

He stopped speaking.

Jiang Feng's gaze fell upon the faces of the young man and the old man.

He looked at the young man's face for three seconds.

The area above the forehead, between the hairline and the brow bone, is called the Sun and Moon Horns in physiognomy. It governs a person's early fortune and their destiny with their parents.

The complexion of this young man's Sun and Moon Horns was dim, as if the nutrients had been sucked out from within. The flesh was sunken inward, and the lines were chaotic.

Normal Sun and Moon Horns should be full and rounded with a warm yellow complexion, representing protection from parents and family harmony in early years.

This sunken and ashen form indicated that this person had indeed experienced a major upheaval with his biological parents in his early years; their connection had been forcibly severed by external forces.

The conclusion on the identification report actually matched his facial features.

But Jiang Feng was in no hurry to reach a conclusion.

His gaze turned toward the old man.

The old man's facial features were much more complex than the young man's.

The position of the Tear Trough under the eyes, known in physiognomy as the Children Palace, should be full and moist in a normal person, representing a deep connection with offspring.

But at this old man's Tear Trough, a very deep, withered line ran across.

The path of that line was too straight, as if it had been carved from within the flesh by a knife.

The Line of No Descendants.

A life of loneliness, with no children.

The meaning of this line was that this old man was destined to have no biological children.

Jiang Feng stroked his chin, connecting all these pieces together.

The presence of the Line of No Descendants on the old man's Tear Trough meant he was naturally unable to have his own children.

But he had raised the young man before him.

The identification report stated there was no blood relationship between them.

The young man said he was kidnapped.

On the surface, the logic was perfectly sound.

An old bachelor with no children kidnaps someone else's baby to raise.

But what Jiang Feng saw in the old man's face was far more than just a Line of No Descendants.

The Nianshou positions on both sides of the bridge of the old man's nose corresponded to middle-age fortune and health status.

The complexion of that area showed a rare mixture of blue and gray.

The formation of such a complexion required long periods of deep worry, pent-up frustration, and self-exhaustion.

At least ten years of accumulated internal injuries.

The facial information of the two people rapidly intertwined in Jiang Feng's mind.

One was a young man whose parental connection was severed early on, and the other was an old man destined to be childless yet who raised another's flesh and blood single-handedly.

Two completely different lines of fate were intertwined, pointing to an old matter that had been buried for over twenty years.

Jiang Feng straightened his posture, looking at the old man who could not even cry out and the young man filled with towering rage.

"Young man, sit down."

"Sit down for what? Just give me a word after you're done looking! Is he a human trafficker or not? Or are you just a charlatan?"

"Don't be in a hurry. Sit down, then I can see it for you."

Jiang Feng patted the empty bamboo chair beside him.

"Standing up, I can only see your facial features. If you sit down, I can also help you see how many things you don't know are buried within this matter."

The young man panted, his chest heaving several times, before finally plopping down.

Jiang Feng's gaze fell back onto the old man's face.

He was going to pull out every single thread of cause and effect within this matter.
