Chapter 26: Cassian Grew Up

Arix barely opened her eyes, shocked at the horrific scene in front of her. She bit her lip to hold back her sadness.

She quickly ran to the side of Cirilla and Adrian, who were completely exhausted from using up all their psychic power.

"Arix?" Adrian looked at Arix with a tired face, surprised.

"Arix! Why did you come back?" Cirilla was still holding up a psychic power barrier, her eyes wide with disbelief.

"Why didn’t you run away?" Arix asked back instead of answering.

Cirilla said, irritated, "How did you... You trying to make me mad or something? I told you to leave! Do you really love us that much that you want to die with us here?"

Arix laughed bitterly. She turned her gaze back, her expression serious. She stared at the wormhole, "Leave the rest to me, you guys can rest up."

With no further delay, Arix began to harness all the psychic power within her psychic world. The power slowly formed a massive psychic barrier, which soon enveloped the wormhole completely.

Inside, the trapped insectoids screeched in frustration.

Their sharp, cold-gleaming limbs attacked the psychic barrier relentlessly, but all their efforts were futile.

"That’s power of a Supergiant+?" Cirilla, who had already withdrawn her psychic energy, watched Arix’s silhouette in awe.



"Wow, sis, Arix is really kicking some ass," Adrian said admiringly.

Cirilla, for once not objecting, responded with mixed feelings, "Well, she’s just getting started, I guess."

Once the insectoids escaping the wormhole had been dealt with, people in the auction hall almost all collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath.

Several severely wounded individuals passed out, and those who could still stand all turned their attention to the young girl sealing the wormhole.

"Who is this girl? She’s quite something. The supergiant-class siblings couldn’t fully seal it, but she managed it alone," Hank said, gasping and clearly impressed.

Hank’s friend, wiping blood from his mouth, raised an eyebrow at Hank, "You really don’t know?"

"Just spit it out. Don’t beat around the bush like that—it’s annoying," Hank grumbled, frustrated with the evasion, especially coming from a tough guy like his friend.

Unoffended, Hank’s friend just sighed, "It’s no wonder you’ve been just a small squad leader in the Fifth Legion for a decade; you don’t even recognize Admiral Kering granddaughter. You should really try to pay more attention to your higher-ups."

Hank’s eyes widened in disbelief as he processed the information. "From the admiral’s family? That explains her incredible power. She truly is a credit to Admiral Kering’s lineage."

Around them, people continued their praises, but Arix, still maintaining the psychic barrier, couldn’t hear any of it.

In just 20 minutes, her psychic power was almost depleted, leaving her with nothing but the harsh ringing in her ears and a mind clouded with pain.

Just when Arix was about to give in, a powerful surge of psychic power forcefully merged with hers.

Relieved that the seal held, she thought Cirilla had helped her, and she wanted to thank her.



When Arix turned around, however, she saw a strange young man with silver hair standing behind her, looking at her intently.

"You are...?" Arix hesitated, then ventured, "Cassian’s elder brother?"

Cassian let out a laugh and stared intently into Arix’s eyes, saying, "Who do you think I am, Arix?"

Arix blinked, taking a closer look at the handsome face in front of her. Then she suddenly realized something and blurt out, "Cassian? How did you grow up?!"

Cassian, satisfied, lightly tapped Arix’s forehead and said, "This is my true form, Arix. Do you like it?"

His silver hair reflected a soft sheen, and in sharp contrast were his bright, golden eyes, which were very piercing.

His thick, arched eyebrows and prominent nose exuded a masculine aggression, making it hard for Arix to connect him with the cute little boy she once knew.

Lastly, his red lips, like jelly, looked sweet and soft. His entire face displayed nobility and elegance.

Arix almost gawked. Blushing, she turned her head away and muttered softly, "Yes, yes, got to admit he’s quite handsome."

Cassian’s smile deepened, his gaze softening as he looked at Arix.

Adrian’s admiring followed Cassian from his strong, heroic entrance to the now increasingly sentimental atmosphere.

He looked somewhat bewildered and asked, "Sis, did he come to rescue us, or is he here to romance Arix?"

Cirilla, speechless, glared at her naive brother and smacked the back of his head. She then scolded, "Shouldn’t you be more concerned about where this guy with Supergiant+ psychic power popped up from?"



"Isn’t he just from our Alliance?" Adrian rubbed the back of his head, feeling wronged.

"Really? You think the Alliance is just lucky like that? To have one Supergiant+ after another?" Cirilla sighed, still trying to enlighten her only brother, and reminded him, "Think about it, among all the galaxies, who else has silver hair, golden eyes, and Supergiant+ psychic power? Think carefully."

Adrian pondered for a moment, then it struck him like a bolt of lightning. He trembled like a leaf and pointed at Cassian. His voice trembled as he asked, "Sis... are you saying he is..."

"OK, that’s enough, no need to say it out loud. Let’s pretend we don’t know," Cirilla quickly interrupted Adrian, not wanting to cause trouble for her family.

Adrian swallowed, his curiosity itching like a cat scratching at him, but he couldn’t help asking, "If Cassian is from the Empire, does that mean Arix might become his luna someday?"

As soon as he said tat, Adrian felt some piercing glare.

Adrian, looking up, realized it was his sister glaring at him. Cautiously, he asked, "Sis, what did I say wrong now? The current royal family of the Empire are werewolves, right? They emphasize their own culture, calling the emperor ’alpha’ and the empress ’luna,’ right?"

"You must be a spy sent by the Empire, my dear brother," Cirilla said, as if she were looking at a patient beyond cure.

As a member of the Alliance, the thought of marrying off the Alliance’s only Supergiant+ to the Empire made her consider severing ties with Adrian.

Adrian looked even more confused.

Cirilla sighed, "Adrian, my dear Adrian... God favored Arix so much that He gave Arix extra lucky and talent, yet you... my poor little thing, He must hate you so much that he totally muddled the creation."

She finally gave up on trying to cure her brother’s naivety. Now she realized why all the elders of the Rinn family opposed him becoming the family heir.
