The next day, before dawn, Arix woke up, stretched, and walked out of the cave.

"Arix, it’s still early. Do you want to sleep a bit more?" Drexel was on the last watch and showed concern for his sister waking up so early.

Arix shook her head and sat next to Drexel, "You go sleep. I’ll keep watch."

Drexel was touched and looked at his sister with pride, "Surprise, surprise. The heartless Arix has grown up and started to care about me."

Arix felt annoyed and a vein popped on her forehead. She glared at Drexel and said, "Now choose: go to hell, or go to sleep?"

"Sleep!" Drexel jumped up and quickly moved away from Arix. As he entered the cave, he added, "Arix, with a temper like that, you’ll never get a boyfriend."

Arix didn’t want to respond and threw a small stick at him.

Drexel caught the stick, smiling. He didn’t want to throw it away and took it into the cave with him.

When it got quiet, Arix poked the fire with a stick, watching the flames grow.

Yesterday’s bear attack still affected her. Even though she had been in this era for almost two months, her mind was still in the past, thinking like she was still on Earth.

For example, many species here were different from those on Earth, but Arix instinctively compared them to Earth creatures in her imagination. In the end, it was because she hadn’t fully accepted that she could never return to Earth.



After all, she still had her parents who raised her, the elders who always criticized but also protected her, and her childhood friend who joked about wanting her to take care of him but ended up taking care of her. These bonds were the deepest for Arix and were impossible to forget.

The more she thought about it, the more it hurt. Arix sighed heavily and looked dejectedly at the fire burning in the pit. The warm firelight only highlighted the loneliness and sadness on her face.

"Arix, a penny for you thought?"

Cupid was very sensitive to emotions. He suddenly felt Arix was unhappy in the psychic world, so he quickly left the psychic world. Then he jumped into Arix’s arms and asked in a cute voice.

Seeing Cupid acting cute, Arix finally smiled and gently petted Cupid’s head. Then, Arix spoke with some emotion, "I was thinking about what happened yesterday. I didn’t expect the beasts of this world to be so big. When I saw them yesterday, I was really surprised."

"Arix, don’t be afraid. I will protect you," Cupid said, thinking Arix was still scared. He rubbed its small head against Arix’s hand to comfort her.

"We will protect you too," said Sophia and Vita, who had also come out of the psychic world. The two little ones sat on the ground, one with a warm expression and the other with a cold one, looking at Arix.

Especially since Sophia, who was usually so indifferent, said this, Arix felt even more touched.

"Thank you, Cupid, Sophia, Vita. I understand now. With you here, I won’t be afraid anymore." Seeing these adorable little ones, Arix’s heart felt warm.

Feeling touched, Arix hugged the three little ones and rubbed her face against their fluffy cheeks.

Yes, she understood now. Since the past can’t be changed, she should cherish the present.

Matis, Thaddeus, Fleur, Sister Gwen, Kellan, Cirilla... and Cupid and the others were her future. What more could she ask for?

If she let the past affect the future, Arix felt she would be letting someone down. ’Hmm? Who is that SOMEONE?’

Arix suddenly felt like she had forgotten that "someone," the one who seemed very important to her.

But no matter how hard she tried to remember, she could only think of an old man with a kind smile and lots of white beard.

Although she couldn’t see his face clearly, she could tell he cared a lot about her. ’Is it sims? He’s the only elder with a white beard I know.’

But, that couldn’t be right. She had only met Sims recently, yet this old man felt like someone she had known for a very long time, even longer than her parents from her past life.

’How can I forget someone so important?’



Since she couldn’t figure it out, Arix decided not to think about it. Maybe it was just her imagination.

The morning sun finally rose. As soon as she let Cupid and the others go back to her psychic world, her teammates came out of the cave, yawning.

After washing up, everyone sat together with a bowl of soup, discussing their plans for the day.

"As long as we get points, I don’t care where we go," Dae-jung said, not minding.

"Anything is fine with me," Arix replied, being very easy-going about such things.

"We’ll follow the leaders," Calista and Femi agreed, having no opinions of their own.

Drexel thought this team was too easy to lead, which made him feel a bit strangely disappointed. He finally spoke in a laid-back manner, "Then let’s keep moving towards the inner area."

"Okay!" Arix and the others agreed.

After finishing breakfast, they saw it was still early, so they decided to wait a bit before setting out.

Taking advantage of the free time, Arix asked Drexel about his psychic weapon from yesterday.

"I want to learn about how to materialize psychic weapons. Can you teach me how to do that?" Arix had been interested in psychic weapons since yesterday and now remembered to ask.

"Call me ’respected brother,’ and I’ll teach you, and I’ll make sure you learn it well. How about that?" Drexel put his arm around Arix’s shoulder and smiled mischievously.

Arix gave a cold laugh, took out a dagger, and with a sinister smile, asked, "Will you teach me willingly now, or...?"

"I was just joking to lighten the mood. Daggers are dangerous; you shouldn’t play with them. Be good and put it away, otherwise, it will get in the way when I teach you," Drexel’s mischievous smile froze, and he quickly tried to appease her.

"Hmph!" Arix snorted coldly and put away the dagger.

Then she gave Drexel a burning glare, her eyes seeming to say, ’Why aren’t you starting already? What are you waiting for?’

Dae-jung and the others were also bored, so they decided to try learning too.

"Ahem, psychic weapons, as the name suggests, are weapons constructed from your psychic power. First, imagine what kind of weapon you want to have," Drexel explained gently and patiently.



’A weapon I want?’ Arix thought for a moment and imagined the weapon she felt most comfortable using.

Seeing his sister’s relaxed expression, Drexel guessed she had an idea and smiled, "Now, open your palms and imagine it appearing there."

Arix nodded, focusing her psychic power on her palm. A sharp, cold weapon appeared in her hand.

When Drexel saw Arix’s weapon, he laughed but quickly stopped himself. He tried to suppress his laughter, his face turning red.

The others also materialized their weapons: Calista had a bow and arrow, Femi had a chef’s knife slightly longer than a dagger, and Dae-jung had a heavy sword. But instead of focusing on their weapons, they all stared at Arix’s psychic weapon in surprise.

Arix’s hand held a delicate, small scalpel, making even a dagger look large and robust next to it.

"Pfft! Hahaha!!" Drexel couldn’t hold back his laughter. He pointed at Arix, trying to say something, but he was laughing too hard to speak.

"Arix, it’s okay. Next time, we’ll make better weapons," Calista said, trying to comfort her friend.

"Yeah, yeah. It’s normal for the first time not to be perfect," Femi added, also trying to reassure her.

Dae-jung didn’t say anything, but he nodded along with Calista and Femi to show his support.

Arix remained calm. She held the scalpel and made a few slicing motions, her voice showing a hint of pleasure, "Thanks, actually, it’s pretty good."

It could save lives and also take someone by surprise. For her, it was the perfect, versatile tool.
