246: Chapter 245 Security Company?

Watching Wang Shuo walk out the main gate, Zheng Yi let out a slight sigh of relief.

When she saw Wang Shuo start hitting people, heaven knows how she managed to hold herself in place and not rush in to stop him; she even saw a flash of killing intent on Wang Shuo's face.

Having struggled and climbed in this position for over a decade, she was certain she hadn't misread it; that was indeed killing intent.

But the final result... seemed pretty good.

Zheng Yi lit a cigarette, recalled what someone had said upon seeing her smoke, and then frowned as she stubbed the cigarette out on the table. She stood up, straightened her uniform, took out her phone, and tapped a contact.

Although it was already late at night, the video call was connected quickly.

General Zheng's stern face appeared in the video. Seeing Zheng Yi, his expression softened slightly, and he asked, "Is it over?"

"It is over."

Zheng Yi nodded.

"He did well, didn't he?"

"His instincts are still sharp, his judgment is accurate, and he handled the situation with great discretion."

"Hmm, he didn't embarrass me." General Zheng nodded and continued to ask, "What about that kid? How is he?"

"He took action." Zheng Yi paused and said, "He kicked him twice."

General Zheng didn't seem surprised and chuckled, "Only kicked him twice? What a gentle little guy; I thought he would be more violent."

More violent?

Zheng Yi had no doubt that if she had let Ning Hao continue talking, Wang Shuo definitely would have done so.

"Let this matter end here. The focus for the next steps remains on the 615 Case." General Zheng instructed, "You must be cautious and careful. Even though you are in the interior of China, you absolutely cannot let your guard down."

"I understand."

Zheng Yi said in a deep voice.

The video cut off. Zheng Yi turned her gaze back to the interrogation room, her voice cold.

"Organize all of his testimonies and secretly transfer the person to the police. We need them to build momentum."

"Understood."

...

On the other side.

Wang Shuo and Instructor Duan Chengwu had already left the building. Outside the door was a pitch-black night sky. Perhaps because they were on the edge of the city, Wang Shuo even saw the long-lost stars.

"Captain Duan, thank you for this time."

Sitting in an electric wheelchair, Instructor Duan Chengwu heard this and shook his head slightly, "Mr. Wang, this is what I should do. Moreover, even if thanks are in order, it should be me thanking you."

"Thanking me?"

Wang Shuo was stunned. What had he done?

"Yes, thank you." Instructor Duan Chengwu's expression was calm, but his tone seemed to ripple, "Senior Colonel Zheng should have mentioned to you that after I was injured, I had been recuperating at the military sanatorium, right?"

Wang Shuo nodded. Zheng Yi had indeed told him about this.

Instructor Duan Chengwu used his only remaining right hand to touch his empty left shoulder, the loneliness in his eyes flashing and vanishing.

"When I was in the sanatorium, I kept thinking, what should I do now? What can I do? General Zheng and the others were afraid that I would be discriminated against or humiliated, but actually, I don't care about any of that."

Instructor Duan Chengwu's tone was flat, as if he were not talking about himself, "Because my body no longer allows me to enter society. No one would want a useless person like me, and no one would mock a useless person like me."

"So Mr. Wang, that you can take me in, I am very grateful. You made me feel that I have value again, and besides..." Instructor Duan Chengwu revealed a faint smile and pointed to the Prosthetic Limbs on his body, "This thing must be very expensive, right?"

This turn of events caught Wang Shuo off guard. He had originally expected to hear a tragic history from Instructor Duan Chengwu; he had even imagined Instructor Duan Chengwu's difficult psychological journey, but he hadn't expected Instructor Duan Chengwu to simply say a few words and lead the conversation to the Prosthetic Limbs.

He turned his head in astonishment, and only when he saw Instructor Duan Chengwu's eyes did Wang Shuo realize what was happening.

Soldiers, especially soldiers like Instructor Duan Chengwu, do not need sentimentality. No matter how incomplete their bodies are, as long as they stand there, they remain a monument.

Wang Shuo also smiled. He felt his mood truly become relaxed.

"Captain Duan, you don't need to pay for these Prosthetic Limbs. This is just a temporary replacement I'm giving you. When I have the medical device company prepared, I will specifically set aside time to customize a pair of Prosthetic Limbs that belong only to you, but..."

Wang Shuo paused and smiled slightly, "Just as I told you before, it will be very expensive."

"Haha." Instructor Duan Chengwu laughed heartily, "Then is the salary you're offering me enough?"

Wang Shuo smiled and nodded, "It's enough."

"Then I will wait and see."

The two looked at each other and smiled again.

After a while, Wang Shuo said, "Captain Duan, I heard from Sister Liu that you have already chosen the location for the Security Company?"

Mentioning business, Instructor Duan Chengwu stopped laughing and nodded, "Indeed. The place I chose is not far from our company's R&D center. It is also outside the Third Ring Road, with convenient transportation and not densely populated. It is a good place."

Wang Shuo waved his hand, "I don't understand these professional matters; you decide. What I want to ask is, how much money will it take to get this company up and running?"

Instructor Duan Chengwu pondered slightly and then said, "That depends on what level of Security Company you need, Mr. Wang."

"What do you mean?" Wang Shuo raised an eyebrow.

"A Security Company actually covers a very wide range. It includes security, escort services, special protection, safety consulting, security engineering, and so on. If you only need a simple security labor company, Mr. Wang, then it really doesn't need much money; five million is enough. But since you spent such a high price to find me, I assume you don't just want a simple security labor company."

Wang Shuo nodded slightly. If he just needed a simple Security Company, would he need to spend such a high price to find someone through the military? Couldn't he just do it himself?

Being a security guard, who can't do that?

But the problem is, how to be an excellent security guard.

"If you need a professional security-type Security Company, with professionally trained personnel, basic security facilities, its own base, and at the very least a security design team. Such a Security Company is already at a first-class level in the country. If it is this kind of Security Company, twenty million is enough."

Speaking of this, Instructor Duan Chengwu looked up at Wang Shuo. Seeing that he was still deep in thought, he nodded slightly, "However, I think, Mr. Wang, the kind you want to establish should be this last type of Security Company."

"This kind of company integrates security, escort services, special protection, safety consulting, and security engineering into one. It is named a Security Company, but in reality, it is a security protection company, or abroad it has another name..."

"A mercenary company!"

Wang Shuo was slightly taken aback.

He knew about mercenary companies; this is a form of Security Company unique to foreign countries.

The reason it is said to be unique to foreign countries is that, regardless of size, these companies are all standardized armed forces. Some mercenary groups are even equipped with Weapon that come from the active-duty equipment of certain countries.

Rather than calling them companies or security personnel, it is better to call them private armies.

Furthermore, some mercenary groups are actually the armies of certain countries; they train domestically and then transform into mercenaries when abroad.

And in China, the existence of private armed forces is not allowed.

Was this Instructor Duan Chengwu's goal?

Wang Shuo turned his head and met Instructor Duan Chengwu's eyes, which seemed to shine with light, as if wanting to see something.

Instructor Duan Chengwu did not shy away, quietly meeting Wang Shuo's gaze.

After a while, under Instructor Duan Chengwu's gaze, Wang Shuo nodded slightly.
