266: Special Conference of the Galactic Administrative Center Departments
Li Yang, guided respectfully by a Staff member, walked steadily along the spacious and bright corridor towards the conference room.
Along the way, whether it was a Staff member rushing or various levels of officials focused on their tasks, the moment they caught sight of Li Yang, they all froze as if under a spell, stopping their activities.
Expressions of awe and respect immediately appeared on their faces, and they all greeted Li Yang in unison, giving a standard salute.
The greetings, crisp and clear, echoed in the corridor.
Before long, Li Yang arrived at the entrance of the conference room.
The two Staff members waiting on either side, their eyes fixed on the corridor's movements, saw Li Yang striding towards them. A hint of tension and focus flashed in their eyes, and almost simultaneously, they swiftly and agilely pulled open the large conference room door.
The door opened with a slight, smooth sound. Li Yang, with a composed expression and firm gaze, without the slightest hesitation or delay, walked confidently straight into the conference room.
Upon entering the conference room, Li Yang's gaze was drawn to the enormous light screen ahead.
On the light screen, the words "Special Conference of the Galactic Administrative Center Department" glowed brilliantly, exuding a solemn and serious aura.
At this moment, the officials of various ranks seated there had already noticed Li Yang's arrival.
The official closest to the door was the first to react, as if by reflex, quickly rising from his seat, standing tall and straight like a pine, his face full of reverence.
This act of standing up triggered a chain reaction, and starting with him, this "wave" spread throughout the entire conference room at an extremely fast pace.
Every official dared not show the slightest slack, rushing to stand up.
Some who were previously conversing in low voices immediately fell silent and quickly straightened their bodies. Others who were reviewing documents hastily put them down, their hands hanging naturally, their expressions solemn.
Within mere seconds, all personnel were standing neatly by their respective seats, without any noise or panic.
The entire conference room was so quiet that it seemed as if time had stopped, with only the faint sound of people's anxious breathing and Li Yang's steady, powerful footsteps, "tap, tap, tap," exceptionally clear in the tranquil space.
In the vast conference room, dozens of seats were fully occupied by standing individuals, each with a focused expression, their eyes closely following Li Yang's figure.
Only the main seat at the very front, symbolizing leadership, was empty, and everyone knew that this position was undoubtedly reserved for Li Yang.
Even figures as influential in the Milky Way Galaxy as Coens and Neil could only be seated on the left and right sides, demonstrating Li Yang's high status.
"Everyone, please be seated," Li Yang said in a steady yet gentle voice as he walked towards his seat.
However, the crowd did not immediately move. With a sense of respect and unspoken understanding, they waited in unison for Li Yang to take his seat first.
Only when Li Yang was firmly seated in the main seat did they all quickly and orderly sit down, their movements as synchronized as a well-trained army.
Once everyone was seated, Li Yang straightened his posture slightly, scanned the officials of various ranks present, and slowly began to speak.
"Alright, the reason I've gathered you all here this time isn't for anything earth-shattering. I presume you all know that I will soon be taking up a new post in This Galaxy Cluster, and so I will be temporarily leaving the Milky Way Galaxy. This meeting, for me, holds extraordinary significance. It is both my first general meeting since becoming the special inspector of galactic affairs for the Milky Way Galaxy, and likely my last."
As soon as Li Yang's words fell, a burst of warm applause immediately erupted in the conference room.
The applause echoed through the conference room like a surging tide.
"The content of this meeting, involving all officials within the Milky Way Galaxy, is mainly divided into two key parts. Firstly, it concerns the prevention of corruption and illegal disciplinary behavior among officials; secondly, it involves the personnel adjustments and transfers of cadre officials."
Li Yang's voice was clear and powerful, echoing in the conference room, striking everyone's hearts like a heavy hammer.
Upon hearing the first part about preventing officials from engaging in illegal disciplinary actions, everyone's expressions did not change much.
After all, as an Inspector, it was normal for Li Yang to initiate discussions on such topics, and everyone had anticipated this.
However, when the latter part about personnel adjustments and transfers of cadre officials was mentioned, everyone was startled, their faces showing surprise.
The personnel adjustments and transfers of official cadres were undoubtedly a monumental matter.
After all, no one could predict whether this change would suddenly fall upon them.
If one could seize this opportunity for promotion, it would naturally be a cause for great joy, but if one were unfortunately demoted, it would undoubtedly be a heavy blow to one's career.
Thinking of this, a sense of unease arose in the hearts of many officials.
Even figures as knowledgeable and seasoned as Coens and Neil, who were usually calm and experienced, couldn't help but look surprised at this moment.
Such a major decision, yet Li Yang had not revealed even a hint of it to them in advance.
The two instinctively exchanged glances, a complex emotion flashing in their eyes, but out of respect for Li Yang and the composure cultivated over years in officialdom, they did not voice any opinions on the spot.
Seeing that Coens and Neil, these two influential figures, had no reaction, the other officials could only forcefully suppress the unease and trembling in their hearts, trying their best to maintain composure on the surface.
"Regarding illegal disciplinary behavior, especially the serious issue of bribery, many officials lack sufficient attention. They often mistakenly believe they haven't committed illegal acts, yet are completely unaware that, unconsciously, they have already crossed the legal red line..."
Li Yang began to elaborate in detail, his words carrying seriousness and warning.
Although everyone outwardly diligently recorded notes on the small light screens in front of them, in reality, almost everyone was somewhat distracted.
Their thoughts had long since eagerly flown to the latter part of the meeting's content regarding personnel adjustments and transfers, and they were all secretly speculating about how their fates would change after this meeting.
