461: Interlude
Li Yang strolled along the streets of the blue planet, the afternoon sun filtering through the leaves and casting dappled light and shadow on him.
Since shouldering his responsibilities, it had been a long time since he had such a purely relaxing moment; the tension in his body seemed to be quietly dispersed by the street-side breeze.
However, this comfort was always mixed with a certain unease—almost every few steps, he could feel gazes from all directions, some of admiration, some of curiosity, and some of undisguised appreciation.
He subconsciously adjusted his cuffs; he wasn't repulsed, just unaccustomed to being the center of attention like this.
After all, having undergone physical enhancement and modification, his physique was as if meticulously sculpted, broad-shouldered and narrow-waisted, with lines as fluid as a moving work of art, coupled with a dignified aura that had settled with age and responsibility, exuding an indescribable charm in every gesture.
"Handsome guy, wait a moment!"
A clear voice came from behind him. Li Yang stopped, turned around, and saw a girl in a white dress standing before him, her black leather shoes lightly tapping the ground. Her face was delicate and beautiful, with a shy blush on her cheeks, and she held a phone with a lit screen, clearly intending to ask for his contact information.
The girl's eyes curved like crescent moons, as if holding starlight, and a youthful aura enveloped him, like a freshly bloomed white jasmine, just like a pure and beloved character in a novel.
"Um... can I have your contact information?"
The girl's voice was as soft as a mosquito's hum, yet filled with courage. After speaking, she nervously clutched her phone, her knuckles slightly white.
"Apologies, I don't have contact information at the moment."
Li Yang's gaze swept lightly over the girl's face, his tone as calm as if stating the most ordinary thing. He then nodded slightly and walked past her.
The girl remained stunned, the screen of her phone glaring a little too brightly. The words she had long prepared were still stuck in her throat, gently rebuffed by his concise refusal.
By the time she reacted, Li Yang's back was already a few steps away, his figure appearing and disappearing among the crowd, carrying an air of detached composure.
"Hey, how did it go?"
Several clear voices immediately surged forward. Three girls in similar jackets emerged from the bubble tea shop around the corner, surrounding her with eager questions and eyes gleaming with gossip.
One of the short-haired girls poked her arm.
"Judging by your expression, you were rejected?"
"He said he doesn't have contact information!"
The rejected girl shoved her phone into her pocket, stomped her foot, her eyes a little red.
"Who doesn't have contact information these days? Even decades ago, you could at least leave an address to write letters! Isn't that excuse a bit too perfunctory?"
Another girl with a high ponytail crossed her arms and tutted twice.
"Oh, come on, you. Usually, the guys chasing you line up from the street corner to the alley. Today you met someone impervious to charm, and you can't handle it?"
She squinted, looking in the direction Li Yang had departed.
"But seriously, that handsome guy's aura is truly exceptional, like he walked out of a comic book. No wonder you mustered the courage to ask for his contact information."
"Exactly..."
The girl with glasses pushed up her frames and said playfully,
"If I had known someone looked like that, I should have gone to the hospital to 'reserve' him the day he was born!"
"Waaah, you guys are still laughing at me!"
The rejected girl playfully hit her friend, her tone a mix of grievance and unwillingness.
"In all my life, this is the first time I've actively asked for contact information, and I actually got shot down with 'I don't have contact information' as the reason... Does he think I'm weird?"
Sunlight filtered through the leaves onto them, and the girls' laughter mingled with their complaints, scattering in the air.
Meanwhile, Li Yang, the subject of their discussion, had long since walked far away. The wind at the street corner lifted his clothes, gently blocking those fragmented discussions behind him—for him, this was merely an insignificant interlude on an unfamiliar planet.
After all, given Li Yang's current status, a woman from a low-level civilization could not possibly match his identity. Besides, he currently had no interest in romance.
And truthfully, Li Yang had not lied.
He had only recently awakened on this planet and was still unfamiliar with everything around him. Where would he get local contact information?
Even if he had the black sphere's communication channels, the other party wouldn't be able to use them if he explained, which would only cause more confusion.
After refusing the girl, he gazed at the street scene, lost in thought for a moment.
It was still unknown when the Empire's search party would arrive, so it seemed he would have to spend more time on this planet.
Since that was the case, he should do as the locals do and completely disguise himself as an ordinary person to avoid any unnecessary complications.
"black sphere..."
He murmured.
"Generate a local bank card. The balance doesn't need to be too high, just enough. The key is that it must be legal and compliant, leaving no traceable marks."
He didn't want his hard-earned "vacation" time to be disturbed by the trouble of his identity being exposed.
"Instruction received."
The black sphere, the intelligent assistant hidden by his side, responded. A faint, almost imperceptible glow flashed, and a black and gold bank card, along with an identification card, quietly appeared in Li Yang's palm.
The card had a delicate texture, and the gilded patterns shimmered with a subtle luster in the sunlight, showing no signs of being unusual.
"Bank card generated. All balance sources are compliant, and identity information has been synchronized with the local system, absolutely able to withstand verification."
The black sphere's electronic voice carried a hint of pride.
Li Yang picked up the ID card, glanced at the fake name and flawlessly forged information on it, then casually tucked both the card and the ID into his side pocket.
Now that he had a legal identity and funds, it was time to procure some everyday items for an ordinary person—starting with the most basic, a mobile phone. He adjusted his collar and turned to walk towards the electronics store not far away, his steps unhurried, as if he truly were just an ordinary passerby.
