286: Conversation between the two sides

"Quick, pack up and prepare to evacuate. We've been discovered by the other side."

The Team Leader's voice was low and urgent, with a hint of tension, but more so, calm and decisive.

Every second was crucial at this moment; any delay could lead to a dangerous situation.

Hearing the Team Leader's command, the Team Members immediately sprang into action, deftly packing away various surveillance equipment.

Their movements were swift and orderly, without the slightest panic.

In a short while, all equipment was properly stowed.

The group then quickly boarded a small starship that had been prepared nearby.

As the starship's engine started, emitting a sharp whistle, the small starship, like an arrow released from a bow, swiftly flew away from the location.

Watching the small starship suddenly fly away, Mo Ming's expression instantly became extremely grim, as if shrouded by dark clouds.

His eyes were wide like brass bells, filled with anger and unwillingness, and his fists were tightly clenched, knuckles white from the force.

He never expected that his meticulously planned transaction would still be discovered, though he didn't know who the other party was.

But this sudden turn of events instantly disrupted his confident plan, and an ominous premonition welled up in his heart.

"Quick, all of you, go and investigate!"

Mo Ming was furious, his face flushed red, as he shrieked at his trembling subordinates beside him.

"Find out exactly who that starship belongs to, who is ruining my good business!"

At this moment, his eyes seemed to spit fire; the rage in his heart had been completely ignited, and he wished he could immediately tear those people into a thousand pieces.

"Yes, Boss!"

The subordinates flinched, startled by Mo Ming's imposing presence, and quickly responded, not daring to delay for a moment, then turned and ran to execute the order.

"Quickly find a way to follow that starship, keep a close eye on them, and see where they finally stop!"

Mo Ming then loudly commanded, his tone filled with undeniable authority.

He understood that if the other party escaped, his crimes would likely be completely exposed, and then an abyss of eternal damnation awaited him.

After giving orders to his subordinates, Mo Ming was anxious; he then quickly urged everyone to hastily board another starship, eagerly chasing in the direction the previous starship had departed.

His stance indicated he would not rest until he caught up with the other party... In the vast and boundless starry sky, the Supervisory Group's starship was speeding along.

Inside the starship, the atmosphere was as heavy as the eve of a storm.

Everyone looked grave, staring intently at the various information transmitted on the light screen, their faces filled with worry.

"Team Leader, it's bad! They're catching up!"

A Team Member reported anxiously, with a tremor in his voice.

"Our starship's speed is no match for theirs. If we continue like this, we'll be caught in about half an hour."

The Team Member spoke, nervously watching the speed dial, his forehead already covered in fine beads of sweat.

Listening to the Team Member's report, the Team Leader did not show the slightest panic; his expression was calm, his gaze sharp, intently fixed on the stellar map before him.

After a moment, the Team Leader suddenly extended his finger, pointing forcefully at a small planet on the stellar map, and decisively said,

"Land on this planet first. Has the information been uploaded?"

His voice was steady and powerful, giving a strange sense of reassurance.

"All information has been uploaded, Team Leader!"

Another Team Member quickly responded, with a hint of relief in his tone.

Hearing this, the Team Leader nodded slightly, his face still calm, but his gaze became a bit more resolute.

He quietly watched the persistent light dot on the light screen, already beginning to plan his next move.

At this moment, although dangers lurked everywhere, he knew he had to remain calm to lead his Team Members out of their predicament and complete this arduous mission.

Meanwhile, Mo Ming and his group, who were in hot pursuit, watched as the Supervisory Group's starship slowly landed on a barren planet, its surface pockmarked and desolate, utterly devoid of life.

Seeing this, Mo Ming couldn't help but burst into laughter, his laughter echoing within the starship, full of mockery and triumph.

"Haha, are they looking for a good grave for themselves? To actually run to this desolate place on their own initiative, how utterly foolish!"

Mo Ming laughed and said disdainfully, as if he was already certain that the other party had no way to escape.

Shortly after the Supervisory Group's starship had smoothly landed on the planet's surface, a colossal starship, over a thousand meters long, like a ferocious beast, slowly and menacingly descended.

The starship emitted a cold metallic sheen, its hull covered with mysterious and eerie patterns, appearing particularly sinister against the planet's gloomy background.

The hatch slowly opened, emitting a dull sound.

Mo Ming, leading a group of subordinates, walked out of the starship with arrogant strides.

They wore various but all somewhat sinister outfits, their eyes full of ferocity and greed.

Mo Ming's gaze was sharp, and he immediately locked onto the Supervisory Group members standing not far away.

Looking at Mo Ming and the others disembarking from the starship, the Team Leader knew this would be a tough battle, but his expression remained calm and composed.

He used his smart-brain to clearly record the appearances of Mo Ming and his group, then uploaded them via an encrypted channel, ensuring that this crucial information would be promptly conveyed to the relevant departments.

"Gentlemen, what were you doing on that planet just now?"

Mo Ming slowly approached, asking in a sarcastic tone.

He looked at the people before him, dressed in uniform and neat attire, exuding a unique demeanor in their every move, and couldn't help but frown slightly, an ominous premonition inexplicably rising within him.

But he presumed his numerical advantage, so he maintained a calm facade.

"Nothing much, just taking a breather because we had nothing else to do."

The Team Leader's expression didn't change, his face completely devoid of any fear.

He looked directly into Mo Ming's eyes, his gaze firm and steady.

"Oh, judging by your appearance, you must be from the Guard Division, right?"

Mo Ming paced around the group, sizing them up, a faint smile playing on his lips.

"I'm very familiar with your Commander; we're good friends."

Seeing that the group was fearless in the face of threats and possessed an extraordinary demeanor, Mo Ming guessed they might be from the Guard Division or perhaps from the administrative center.

He tried to gauge their identity by feigning familiarity, as people with status were different from ordinary citizens.

If they were ordinary citizens, they would have started to eliminate the evidence the moment they met.

"Oh, the Guard Division Commander is very familiar with you?"

The Team Leader raised an eyebrow slightly, a hint of amusement flashing in his eyes, and retorted.

"Just how familiar are you? Tell me about it."

He looked at Mo Ming with interest.

Mo Ming pondered inwardly, his eyes flickering a few times, quickly weighing the pros and cons in his mind.

A moment later, he gritted his teeth, as if making a great decision, and quietly said,

"Hmm... familiar to the point of sharing life and death."

In reality, he knew clearly that given the crimes they committed daily, once exposed, they would inevitably face the death penalty. From this perspective, it truly could be considered sharing life and death.
