433: Emergency?

Under the enthusiastic and detailed guidance of Siraf and his entourage, Li Yang concluded his inspection of the entire Regiment Headquarters.

Siraf maintained a high level of focus from beginning to end, meticulously and comprehensively introducing Li Yang to the relevant situations at each location, from the daily training of the troops to the execution of various missions, from personnel allocation to material reserves, omitting nothing.

Li Yang, with a focused expression, occasionally nodded slightly and sometimes asked precise questions.

After the inspection, Li Yang and his group went to the conference room, sat around the conference table, and began discussing the work of the Regiment Headquarters.

Everyone expressed their opinions freely, and the atmosphere was lively and orderly. However, just then, the door of the conference room was violently pushed open, and an officer rushed in frantically. His face was full of anxiety and tension, and fine beads of sweat hung on his forehead, clearly indicating he had rushed all the way.

“Regiment Commander, we have an emergency!”

The officer shouted breathlessly, his voice echoing in the quiet conference room, breaking the previously harmonious discussion atmosphere.

Siraf and Xilagu, who were originally earnestly participating in the discussion, felt a sudden jolt in their hearts upon hearing the shout, as if a huge rock had heavily struck their chests.

Their expressions instantly became grave, and a hint of worry and unease appeared in their eyes.

The inspection was about to conclude successfully, and they prayed that nothing would go wrong at this critical juncture, hoping no troublesome matters would arise.

Siraf quickly stood up, walked briskly to the officer, and said urgently.

“Don’t panic, calm down first, and explain the situation clearly.”

Although his voice was steady, his tone revealed a hint of tension.

The officer took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down, then reported urgently.

“Reporting, Regiment Commander, the third-level civilization Flo Civilization in the Galaxy has shown unusual activity recently. To expand its territory, it has assembled a large army, which is now fully gathered and ready to attack its old rival—the Jige Civilization, also a third-level civilization.”

The conference room immediately fell into silence.

It should be known that both Flo Civilization and Jige Civilization are within the jurisdiction of the Empire.

To promote the development of various civilizations, the Empire, to a certain extent, allows civilizations to compete and assimilate with each other to achieve their evolution and strength.

However, to maintain the stability and order of the Galaxy, the Empire has established strict rules: any civilization wishing to wage war must submit a report in advance to the Homeland Security Force stationed in the Galaxy and can only act after approval.

However, the Flo Civilization openly disregarded the rules, unilaterally assembling its army without submitting any report, preparing to attack the Jige Civilization.

This behavior was undoubtedly an open defiance of the Empire's authority.

Upon hearing the detailed report from his subordinate, Siraf’s face instantly turned ashen. His eyes widened, burning with flames of anger.

He slammed his hand on the table and roared loudly.

“What exactly is the Decision Maker of this Flo Civilization thinking? How dare they act rashly without even submitting a basic report? They are completely disregarding the Empire! This is simply lawless and reckless!”

His voice echoed in the conference room, filled with anger and authority.

In fact, Siraf was so angry not just because of the Flo Civilization's violation, but also because it exposed loopholes in their Regiment Headquarters' oversight.

As a Regiment Headquarters of the Imperial Homeland Security Force, they are responsible for maintaining order among civilizations within the Galaxy and ensuring the strict enforcement of the Empire's rules.

The Flo Civilization's unauthorized action this time undoubtedly reminded him that there were still many shortcomings in their work.

At this moment, Siraf's heart was like a volcano about to erupt, with angry magma churning and surging within him.

He cursed the Decision Maker of the Flo Civilization fiercely in his mind.

He secretly complained, how could this Flo Civilization be so ignorant? Of all times to attack, they chose the day of the Division Commander's inspection.

Wasn't this deliberately causing trouble for them? And not submitting a report in advance, this was clearly meant to embarrass him and put him in a bad light. He worried that this incident would leave a bad impression on the Division Commander, affecting his and the entire Regiment Headquarters' reputation.

He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down, and pondered how to deal with this sudden crisis.

Everyone's eyes were focused on Li Yang, wanting to see how the Division Commander would react.

However, Li Yang did not speak immediately; he just sat there quietly, his gaze calmly fixed on Siraf and the others, his eyes revealing a sense of composure and profundity.

After all, this was within the scope of Siraf’s Regiment Headquarters' work. The purpose of this inspection was to test whether they had the ability to handle affairs between civilizations within their jurisdiction and maintain order in the Galaxy.

Li Yang hoped to assess their work capability and adaptability by observing Siraf's response.

Siraf keenly caught Li Yang’s gaze; he understood that Li Yang was observing how they would solve the problem.

Therefore, without daring to show any slack, he quickly collected his thoughts, straightened his back, and loudly said to his subordinate officer.

“You immediately contact the Flo Civilization, ask them why they acted without submitting a report as required, and strictly order them to immediately cease their attack. Tell them that the Empire’s rules are not to be trampled upon, and any violation will be severely punished.”

His voice was firm and powerful, demonstrating his decisiveness and authority as a Regiment Commander.

Upon hearing the order, the officer immediately saluted and responded loudly.

“Yes, Regiment Commander!”

Then he turned and hurried out of the conference room. However, not long after, the officer rushed back in, looking anxious.

His face showed a hint of tension, but more of the satisfaction of completing his mission.

He stood in the center of the conference room, saluted again, and reported loudly.

“Reporting, Regiment Commander, the Flo Civilization has obeyed the order and ceased its attack. Regarding the issue of not submitting a report, they explained that the situation was urgent, and they did not have time to report through normal procedures. Furthermore, they have resubmitted an application report for attack and hope that we can observe their offensive against the Jige Civilization.”

Hearing this news, Siraf’s previously tense expression eased considerably. He nodded slightly, a hint of relief in his eyes.

He understood in his heart that the Flo Civilization had ultimately obeyed their orders, which at least indicated that their authority was respected to a certain extent.
