53: Why is the top of your head so pointy?

After a brief and polite exchange, Xia Quan led Li Yang to a magnificent and imposing building.

"This is the newly constructed Blue Star Management Department office building. Your exclusive office is inside this building."

Xia Quan smiled, speaking as he led Li Yang into the building.

Once inside, Xia Quan walked towards the office, enthusiastically describing the various facilities and layout of the building.

Not long after, Li Yang followed Xia Quan to an office door. Looking up, he saw the words "Captain's Office" prominently displayed on the sign above the door.

"Captain? It seems that's the only way to write it... After all, he currently only holds the position of Captain," Li Yang murmured, tilting his head slightly.

Pushing open the door and stepping inside, the first thing that greeted his eyes was the spacious and grand office. The floor was paved with rare crystal ore from a distant Galaxy, resembling a brilliant river of stars, emitting a soft and mysterious glow, making one feel as if they were walking in a dream.

To one side of the room, there was a massive desk made of interstellar alloy, incredibly sturdy and textured, its surface gleaming with a cold metallic luster. The desktop was inlaid with various jewel-like, colorful control buttons and clear, bright projected screens, giving it a strong sense of technology.

The other side was a comfortable and pleasant lounge area, furnished with an exquisite sofa set and coffee table from an alien civilization.

The ceiling featured a dazzling projection of the starry sky, its realistic effect making one feel truly immersed in the vast and boundless universe, bringing endless imagination and awe.

In the corners of the office, various artworks and antiques from different civilizations were tastefully arranged. Each piece carried a unique and profound history and culture, exuding the charm of time.

On the office wall, two flags, one large and one small, were hung. The larger one was the Xili Empire flag, its design solemn and majestic, symbolizing the empire's glory and authority; the smaller one was the Blue Star flag, its design simple yet distinctive, representing Blue Star's unique charm.

Looking at the luxuriously decorated office, Li Yang couldn't help but secretly ask Xia Quan,

"How many star coins did all this decoration cost?"

After all, many items here were products from other civilizations, and their prices were certainly not cheap.

"Don't worry, Captain, it's all free..."

"Free?"

Hearing this, Li Yang looked puzzled, his brows slightly furrowed.

"All these decorations and items were covered by the Mars Governor. We didn't spend a single star coin!" Xia Quan quickly explained. After all, with Blue Star's current conditions, having just connected to the Star Navigation Map, it indeed didn't have enough funds to purchase so many expensive alien products.

"Intelligent Core, does he consider this bribery?" After hearing that all these were gifts from the Mars Governor, Li Yang quickly asked the Intelligent Core in his mind. After all, he still had a great future ahead of him and couldn't let it be ruined by these small items.

"Beep... There is no concept of bribery in the Empire's laws. Military officers and officials can freely accept gifts, as long as it does not violate Imperial law."

Well, if that's the case, then he could indeed rest assured.

After all, if the Mars Governor really had something he wanted him to help with, he could simply refuse. Anyway, taking money and not doing anything didn't violate Imperial law, and no one could accuse him of bribery.

Thinking this, Li Yang accepted these items without any psychological burden. After all, why refuse something free? Not taking advantage of a good deal would be foolish... In the office, Li Yang and Xia Quan continued to discuss Blue Star's future development direction and plans in depth.

Not long after Xia Quan and the others left, a message suddenly appeared on the light screen of the desk.

"Captain Li Yang, Mars Governor An Nuo is visiting and hopes to see you."

"Oh, let him come over."

Li Yang sat leisurely in a comfortable soft chair, taking a sip of tea from an alien civilization.

"Pah... It tastes terrible, not as good as Blue Star's tea."

Just as Li Yang finished complaining, a crisp knock on the door sounded.

"Come in!"

The door slowly opened, and a person dressed in Imperial administrative attire walked in.

"Hello, you must be Captain Li Yang. My name is Anno, and I currently serve as the Mars Governor."

Anno extended his hand with a smile.

"Hello, please sit down, Governor An Nuo," Li Yang responded with a smile, and, looking at Anno's outstretched hand, he shook it warmly.

Li Yang focused his gaze on Governor An Nuo, carefully scrutinizing him from head to toe.

He saw that the person's appearance seemed to have no obvious difference from a human; he looked like an ordinary Blue Star man.

"Ahem, Captain Li Yang, I am actually not human... I am a Top Hornian." Seeing Li Yang staring at him intently, Anno looked a little embarrassed and quickly took off his hat, revealing a thin horn growing on his head.

Watching this scene, for some reason, a thought inexplicably popped into Li Yang's mind, wanting to ask him, "Why is your head pointy?"

However, he quickly shook off that strange thought and continued to treat Anno with enthusiasm.

After all, the man had given him so many things; he couldn't possibly immediately give him a hard time.

"Captain Li Yang, my visit this time is actually to ask for a favor..."

Hearing this, Li Yang's expression momentarily froze, and he thought to himself,

"Sure enough, there's no such thing as a free lunch in this world. I knew he would ask for my help."

"Please explain in detail. If I can help, I will do my best," Li Yang said, his expression unchanged, still smiling.

"It's like this: I would like to invite a portion of Blue Star's population to live on our Mars. Because Mars has just been completed and currently has no population, it naturally lacks... ahem."

Anno looked awkward and flustered, his words becoming hesitant.

Hearing this, Li Yang instantly understood Anno's intention.

To put it plainly, he wanted to relocate a portion of humanity to Mars, using the human name to promote Mars's unique features, thereby attracting more people to Mars.

"Three-seven..."

"Ah... What three-seven?" Anno looked bewildered, clearly not understanding Li Yang's meaning.

"The profits earned will be split three-seven, with me taking seven and you taking three..." Li Yang said calmly. He would naturally agree to such a request, as it was equally beneficial to him.

After all, Blue Star had a large population, and with the continuous influx of alien tourists, it indeed seemed a bit crowded.

Relocating a portion of humanity to Mars would not only alleviate Blue Star's population pressure but also allow him to gain substantial profits. It was truly a win-win situation.

"Ah... Yes, thank you, Captain Li Yang. This small item is a token of my regard; please accept it!" Anno was overjoyed, then eagerly and carefully pulled out a crystal ball from his embrace and handed it over with both hands.

"This is a product sold by the Empire. The crystal ball records the location of an ownerless planet. I don't have a fleet, so even if I had this, it would be useless. This item will only serve its purpose in your hands."

Hearing this, Li Yang took the crystal ball and examined it carefully.

He saw that the crystal ball presented a vast starry sky scene, indicating that he would need to find the precise location based on the characteristics of this starry sky.

Isn't this what they call a treasure map, except the treasure has become a planet? It seems the Empire highly encourages its people to actively explore outwards and open up unknown territories.
