3: Welcome to the Empire of Human Supremacy

“So... System, how do I get to my fleet? Do I have to wait for them to land on Blue Star?”

“Beep, no need. Your fleet has already arrived in the Solar System. Please use the signal receiver to transmit.”

Hearing the System’s reply, Li Yang’s gaze was fixed on the ‘Divine Light Stick’ in his hand, and he couldn’t help but ponder, ‘Besides transmitting coordinates, does this thing actually have a teleportation function?’

However, since the System was so confident, it must be fine. Li Yang was just about to raise the ‘Divine Light Stick’ high when the System suddenly reminded him.

“Beep, you just need to raise it; you don’t need to shout out some Mo Ming commands.”

“Ahem, I know…”

Li Yang coughed twice, a little awkwardly. He had originally planned another ‘transformation’ but completely gave up on the idea. After all, it was more appropriate for him to honestly follow the System’s arrangements.

The moment Li Yang raised the signal receiver, in a room on the main ship far beyond Blue Star, an enormous machine stood silently on the ground.

“Received Captain Li Yang’s transmission information! Operate at full speed and receive!”

As soon as the words fell, the machine in the room rumbled and started to operate. The two rings on the huge disc began to spin wildly like a gale, followed by an extremely dazzling white light that flashed instantly.

At the same time, Li Yang on Blue Star was still full of doubts as to why the signal receiver didn’t emit the familiar pillar of light this time.

Just as he was racking his brain, a white light appeared out of nowhere without warning, flashed, and Li Yang disappeared without a trace.

“Ugh… so dizzy…”

The white light dissipated, and the spinning rings slowly came to a halt. On the previously empty disc, Li Yang inexplicably appeared out of thin air.

“I’m very sorry, Captain Li Yang. As this is your first time using the teleportation device, your body may temporarily have difficulty adapting. Please wait a moment.”

Looking at the dizzy, pale-faced Li Yang, the man who spoke gently waved his hand, and a person in a white robe quickly walked over and gracefully waved a hand at Li Yang.

A mysterious green light flashed, and Li Yang, who had been frowning uncomfortably, instantly sobered up. All the uncomfortable symptoms in his body, which had been like a stormy sea, disappeared without a trace.

Li Yang, who had never felt so comfortable and relaxed, couldn’t help but be a little surprised.

“Hello, Captain Li Yang, comrade. I am the Vice Captain of this planetary-class fleet! You can call me Pa’er.”

Before Li Yang could fully recover, he saw a tall, burly human in military uniform standing straight in front of him, raising his right fist.

“Beep, raising the right fist is a ritual of the Empire, signifying loyalty to the Empire and the Emperor.”

Hearing the System’s words, Li Yang didn’t dare to hesitate in the slightest. He quickly followed suit, raising his right fist in return.

Only then did Li Yang suddenly realize that this human in front of him seemed not to be purely human.

Although his appearance was extremely similar to that of a human, he had three eyes, and these three eyes were neatly arranged on a parallel line.

“Uh, hello, just call me Li Yang.”

“Yes, Captain Li Yang! Please follow me, and I will explain the specific situation of this fleet to you in detail.”

Looking at the respectful Pa’er, Li Yang had no choice but to follow the arrangements and act accordingly. After all, he had just arrived and was indeed completely ignorant of this fleet.

Along the way, all sorts of strange and wonderful objects deeply attracted Li Yang’s attention. People who passed by from time to time would stop and salute him. However, most of these people were not human; many were ‘aliens’ he had never seen before.

To be honest, at first, Li Yang always politely returned the salute, but later the System came out and informed him that, except for those of higher rank than himself or those of equal rank who required a return salute, he only needed to nod slightly to others.

This made Li Yang feel much more relaxed, as constantly raising his fist was indeed a bit tiring.

During this time, Li Yang also noticed that Pa’er’s shoulder insignia was a bronze star, 1 thick bronze V-bar, and 2 thin V-bars.

“System, what is Pa’er’s military rank? And why haven’t I seen a single human on this vessel?”

“Beep, comrade Pa’er is a 5th-grade Second Lieutenant. As for humans, because the Xili Empire strongly advocates human supremacy, humans are basically an extremely rare species in the Empire. According to data, humans only account for one thousandth of a percent of the Empire’s total population.”

“One thousandth of a percent… This Empire’s territory must be incredibly vast…”

“Because of human supremacy, non-human species also receive lower treatment than humans. Second Lieutenant Pa’er is a typical example. In the Empire, as long as one reaches the lieutenant rank, the Empire will grant a fleet for them to command personally, but this is limited to humans. Non-humans need to reach the colonel rank or have made significant outstanding contributions to the Empire to be exceptionally allowed to command a fleet at the lieutenant rank. In the Empire…”

The System spoke voluminously about the various superior treatments humans received in the Empire, talking for a long time before stopping.

After listening to the System’s detailed explanation, Li Yang came to a conclusion: humans in the Xili Empire could basically be described as a noble existence, like royalty.

No wonder the so-called New Fire Project only selected humans; it turns out this is a human-supremacist empire.

However, in this case, would other species really not rise up in resistance? Of course, these were not matters Li Yang needed to worry about.

After all, this was a 7th-level civilization; who knows how long it had existed? If they could resist, they would have succeeded long ago… On the other side, after Pa’er led Li Yang to visit some crucial facilities, they arrived together in the Command Room of the main ship.

“Wow!”

As soon as he stepped into the Command Room, Li Yang felt like Grandma Liu entering the Grand View Garden, dizzy from the sight before him.

Especially the various kinds of… ‘people’ and ‘non-people’.

“Are those really rabbit ears?”

Li Yang looked at the person in front of him, who had a small, delicate, and charming face with a pair of white, fluffy long ears on her head, and asked with great curiosity.

“Rabbit ears? I’m sorry, Captain Li Yang, I am a Long-Ear Clan member.”

Being stared at intently by Li Yang, the Long-Ear Clan woman seemed a little flustered and quickly spoke to explain.

“Oh, Long-Ear Clan? I wonder…”

Seeing so many ‘aliens,’ Li Yang’s strong curiosity was instantly thoroughly piqued. He would stare closely at one for a moment, then turn to look at another, his eyes full of novelty and a desire for exploration.

Of course, others were equally deeply curious about this human Captain Li Yang. After all, humans were a rare species, generally difficult to see, let alone as their Captain Li Yang.

“Captain Li Yang, do you have any unique suggestions for occupying this planet?”

Finally, Pa’er stepped forward, interrupting Li Yang’s extremely vigorous curiosity. He respectfully extended his palm, and a clear projection of a planet appeared before everyone’s eyes. This planet was none other than Li Yang’s home planet—Blue Star.
