119: Chapter 119: The Rose Opera House (20)

The red threads moved continuously, attacking one spot there without pause.

"Thump, thump, thump..."

This time, Qianye was certain: it was the vines in front of her; that was the heart before her.

Having reached this conclusion, Qianye controlled the red threads, attacking that same spot repeatedly with even greater intensity.

The sound of the heart beating grew stronger and stronger, faintly mixed with a trace of pain.

As the attacks intensified, those vines seemed to go mad, rushing toward Qianye one after another, attacking relentlessly without regard for their own survival.

In front of Qianye, the red singer blocked wave after wave of attacks. She kept her eyes fixed on the movements above, and suddenly, her eyes lit up. The next instant, she raised her hand, and the red threads above followed her movement, gathering all their strength and striking toward the vines.

"Crack, crack..."

Something was splitting open. The vines could be seen cracking little by little from top to bottom, with a faint, eerie green light seeping through.

"Crack..."

With the final crack, whatever the vines were defending finally revealed its true form.

Seeing what was inside, Qianye frowned deeply.

A giant heart appeared within, radiating an eerie green light. What made one feel uncomfortable was that deep piles of white bones were accumulated all around it.

It was evident that it had devoured countless people.

Among them were perhaps NPCs and previous players; otherwise, how could there be such an accumulation of white bones?

"Good heavens, Master, I didn't expect this thing to be rotten to the core."

Xiaohua looked at the deep piles of white bones and felt a moment of disgust. Theoretically, they both belonged to plants, but seeing it behave this way was truly intolerable.

"Who is it!"

"Hehehe, damn you, how dare you disturb me! You are courting death."

An angry shout suddenly erupted from the surroundings, but Qianye ignored it completely. She gathered power in her hands, aiming straight for the heart, piercing through the blocking vines and shooting toward it.

With a "bang," the force collided with the heart.

"Ahhh..."

"Damn it, damn it..."

Dense, eerie green mist erupted from the surroundings, pressing in on Qianye. Qianye did not falter, continuing to attack the heart.

The next instant, with a "thump," before Qianye could react, a black hole suddenly appeared beneath her feet.

Caught completely off guard, Qianye just fell right in.

In the darkness, Qianye's ears twitched; she seemed to hear a gasp of surprise.

Having fallen into the black hole, Qianye opened her eyes, but there was only endless darkness before her; she could see nothing.

Xiaohua swayed slowly, emitting a faint red light, but even so, the surroundings remained pitch black.

Seeing this, Qianye patted it. Xiaohua retracted its power, and Qianye let herself fall freely.

She didn't know how much time had passed, but finally, there was a glimmer of light below. Qianye supported herself with the red singer and landed slowly on the ground.

After steadying herself, Qianye looked down at her feet. There were still twinkling specks of light, and the more she looked, the more the trajectories of these specks seemed like planets moving within a galaxy.

At this moment, she felt as if she were in the middle of a galaxy.

Qianye became increasingly curious about what kind of secrets were hidden in this Rose Opera House.

Qianye could only see a point of light not far away. With the surroundings plunged into darkness, she had no choice but to head toward it.

She didn't know how long she walked, but finally, the point of light grew larger and larger as she got closer to it.

Until she stood before it, it was a continuously rotating ring of light. What appeared before her looked more like a tunnel, radiating light. "Hmm, could there be another space behind this?"

Qianye pondered, resting her chin on her hand.

"Where has this appeared now?"

"This place is so similar to those stars we saw earlier!"

"Why aren't you saying anything?"

"I'm talking to myself, it's very boring, and I look like a..."

"Heh, at least you know you look like a clown!" The voice was filled with disdain.

The voices of the man and woman before her were very familiar to Qianye; it was An Xuan and Mo Yu.

The former was chattering non-stop, while Mo Yu behind him had veins throbbing at her temples. This kid really hadn't been beaten down by society enough.

Once An Xuan saw that her state was off, he immediately quieted down.

Mo Yu was annoyed and kept walking forward. Seeing a familiar figure ahead, she quickened her pace.

Just at this moment, voices came from the surroundings again, "Where is this?"

Besides Mo Yu and An Xuan, the four players including Hao Ming were also walking here, all having seen the light and followed it.

Before long, the group gathered together again, staring curiously at the ring-like thing in front of them.

"What is this thing?" Liu Ran approached it, and the next second, she suddenly felt a suction force.

"Ah... save me!"

Liu Ran leaned her body backward, but the suction force gradually grew stronger, wanting to pull her inside.

The monk beside her instinctively reached out to pull her, but he was also caught by a force.

"What on earth is this thing? How can it have such strong suction?" The monk gritted his teeth, and the two of them adopted the same posture to resist the suction.

After this incident, the others didn't dare to approach easily.

Qianye blinked. This made her even more curious, and she wanted to go in and take a look. Once she had this thought, she took action.

Liu Ran and the monk only felt their bodies suddenly lighten. The next second, they felt themselves being pushed away from the ring of light, and out of the corner of their eyes, they saw a figure flash past and rush toward the ring.

Liu Ran stood there blankly, "Was that just now..."

Her gaze was somewhat dazed; she hadn't expected the one to intervene to be her.

"Oh, sister!"

"Sister is still the best!"

When the monk saw who had saved him, he got excited and went toward the ring of light again, but the next second he was pulled back.

"What are you doing!" Hao Ming scolded him. If he hadn't pulled him back, he would have been sucked in again.

Seeing this, the monk scratched his head with an embarrassed look, "Ah, I was just too excited."

The few people kept staring at the ring of light in front of them, but there were no other changes; it remained exactly as it was.

"What should we do?"

"What should we do next?"

Hermione looked at the ring of light and asked.

Mo Yu looked back at them, then turned to stare at the ring of light in front of her. A flash of hesitation crossed her eyes, but she was the only one who was fearless and kept moving forward.

Mo Yu cast her gaze around again; everything was pitch black, and only this place looked like an exit.

Even if they stayed in here, they probably wouldn't accomplish anything, so it might be better to...

Mo Yu set her gaze on An Xuan, who was beside her.

When An Xuan saw her look, he felt a shiver run down his spine.

He crossed his arms over his chest, full of vigilance, "What, what do you want to do again!"

"I'm warning you, if you make me go into this with you... I will..."

Mo Yu looked at his determined gaze and raised an eyebrow, "You will what..."

An Xuan gritted his teeth, "I'll agree to it."

This answer caused a trace of surprise to appear on Mo Yu's face.

"You're willing to go in!"

Mo Yu was genuinely surprised, as even she herself had some doubts at this moment.

An Xuan returned to normal and smiled for a moment.

He looked around, "Aren't we gaining nothing by staying here right now?"

"Either way, it's death, so we might as well take a gamble."

After An Xuan finished speaking, he pressed his lips together.

Besides, he had a premonition that following her would definitely be the right choice.

This was also the reason why he never truly resisted every time he was dragged along by Mo Yu.
