2: Chapter 2: Angel Campus (Part Two)

"This dungeon is Angel Campus; I suppose our roles should be students."

Tai Feng, who was driving in the front, suddenly spoke up. He wasn't a newcomer and had some understanding of this dungeon.

The NPC had mentioned there would be punishment for being late, and combined with this snail-paced vehicle, it was likely an intentional attempt to make them late.

"Then, then what should we do next?" The people in the back were at a loss.

Qian Ye focused her gaze on the child on the floor, her lips curling into an eerie smile. "The car isn't moving fast... could it be because it's almost out of fuel?"

Her words caught Tai Feng off guard. Right, why hadn't he thought of that? He nodded in agreement. "Possibly."

"But where are we going to get gasoline?" someone in the back interjected, and the others chimed in as well.

Indeed, looking out at the thick fog, where could they possibly see a gas station?

As they spoke, Tai Feng suddenly slammed on the brakes, causing everyone in the car to lunge forward from the sudden jolt.

"What the hell!"

Tai Feng pointed outside. "Someone's there."

A Little Girl was standing right in front of the car, wearing the same school uniform as the NPC inside. It seemed she was also a student of Angel Campus.

Tai Feng instinctively glanced at Qian Ye and saw her eyes sparkling as if she had spotted some kind of treasure.

"Look, hasn't the fuel delivered itself to our door?" Qian Ye pressed down on the restless NPC on the floor. Seeing him still struggling, she spoke in a sinister tone, "If you want to become fuel yourself, I won't stop you."

Instantly, the person on the floor became still.

"Open the door." Qian Ye raised an eyebrow and signaled to Tai Feng. This fuel that had delivered itself should not go to waste.

Seeing the car door open, the Little Girl's lips curled up. She stepped onto the bus with light steps, and the door behind her slammed shut with a 'bang,' as if afraid it would be too slow.

The Little Girl's smile suddenly froze when she saw her companion on the floor; this was not at all what she had expected.

Seeing her, Qian Ye's smile deepened. "Now we won't have to be late."

After saying that, she grinned, held her umbrella, and slowly approached the Little Girl by the door.

Only then did the NPC realize something was wrong. She wanted to flee but had nowhere to hide.

"Mm, now the tank is topped up."

Qian Ye looked with satisfaction at the fuel tank that was nearly overflowing. She casually tossed the Little Girl aside and clapped her hands.

Looking closely, thick blood was still dripping from the edge of the fuel tank.

Returning to the bus, the three girls in the back huddled together, looking at Qian Ye tremulously. She... she actually killed someone... no, it was... it was an NPC.

How incredibly bold.

Tai Feng's expression remained unchanged as he restarted the car. This time, there was no longer that old, strange noise. With a light tap on the accelerator, the car glided a long distance away.

Seeing Qian Ye poking the NPC in the rearview mirror, he felt a chill in his heart. Without her, these people would have suffered losses just on the road alone.

The car drove at a steady speed. Looking ahead, a gate faintly emerged from the mist.

When the car stopped, they could clearly see the crooked writing: Angel Campus.

Qian Ye got out of the car, opened her umbrella, and rested her chin on one hand, staring at the words above. "Is it an angel or a devil?"

The NPC on the side turned his head and saw the excited light flashing in her eyes. He silently moved further away from her. This woman was a total lunatic.

All the players got off the car. Seeing the desolate campus, a novice player couldn't help but speak up, "Angel Campus? What kind of school is this?"

"It's in such a state of ruin, yet they have the nerve to call it a school!" The speaker was a girl, her eyes full of disdain.

"Tch, do you think you're here for a tour?" Tai Feng scoffed coldly. He hadn't expected there to be such an oblivious person among the players this time.

"You..." Mo Lan suddenly remembered this was a game. Her face changed drastically, and she stopped talking.

Qian Ye focused her gaze on the school.

The gates were tightly shut, and not a single person was in sight.

The NPC on the side didn't seem surprised. A smug light flashed in his eyes as he shifted his feet slightly.

"Classmate, where do you think you're going?"

Qian Ye's sinister voice rang in his ear. The NPC's expression stiffened, and he rolled his eyes, thinking she was just showing off.

"No, I wasn't going anywhere."

The next second, the NPC clutched his stomach, letting out a sharp hiss as he gasped for air, his eyes fixed intently on Qian Ye.

The tip of the umbrella in Qian Ye's hand was pointed at his wound, poking it again and again. The wound, which had almost stopped bleeding, was now dripping blood once more.

Qian Ye smiled and approached him, her tone extremely gentle. "Classmate, are you trying to skip class?"

"No, I'm not!" The NPC reacted violently, as if he had heard some forbidden words.

His eyes scanned the surroundings, seemingly afraid of something.

Qian Ye observed his strange behavior, and the smile on her lips deepened.

"Is it almost time for class?"

Qian Ye murmured softly, her voice just loud enough for the NPC to hear. His body stiffened visibly.

He took several large strides to the right side of the gate, raised his hand, and pressed it a few times. A sound rang out.

Tai Feng followed him. Looking closely, he realized it was a doorbell, its color almost identical to the wall, making it very easy to overlook.

A moment passed, but nothing changed.

"What's going on?" Mo Lan looked impatient and approached the gate to see if she could push it open.

With a 'click,' she suddenly stumbled forward. She turned her head and screamed, "Ah..."

"What's all the noise for? No shouting in school!" A woman appeared inside the gate, dressed in a prim and proper manner. Her face was deathly pale, and her left eye was entirely white. Mo Lan had been startled by her appearance.

Qian Ye tapped the NPC with the tip of her umbrella as a signal. The NPC glared at her and stepped forward. "Director."

Then he tapped the right side of his chest.

The director nodded and let him in.

The NPC looked at them, a flash of malice passing through his eyes.

Qian Ye looked up slightly, ignoring him.

The director turned her attention to Qian Ye and the others, her expression unchanging. "Credentials."

"What credentials?" Tai Feng stepped forward. With his muscular build, he looked like someone not to be trifled with.

Hearing this, Qian Ye slung her umbrella over her shoulder, a smile on her lips. "Does the director not want to let us in?"

In the next second, she swung the umbrella she was carrying directly at her. In a brief moment, Qian Ye retracted the umbrella, which was now dripping with fresh blood. The director collapsed into a pool of blood, and the air froze for a moment.

"I told you we can't be late." Qian Ye straightened her skirt.

"How annoying, I almost got my clothes dirty."

Tai Feng was stunned for a moment. This was the second time he had seen her attack an NPC without a word.

Qian Ye glanced at the NPC with the stiff expression, pushed open the gate, and walked in. Seeing this, the NPC turned and bolted.

Before Qian Ye could act, Tai Feng, who was nearby, grabbed him.

"Oh dear, what a pity. You didn't manage to run away, hohoho." Qian Ye looked at the NPC, gloating over his misfortune.

The NPC was forced to lead them to the Office Building, pointing to the third floor. "That's the Dean of Discipline's office."

"Good boy." Qian Ye patted his head and walked toward the Office Building.

Tai Feng followed Qian Ye closely, and the players behind them followed suit upon seeing this.

The person behind them watched their retreating figures with an eerie smile on their face.

Inside the hallway, there were mottled bloodstains and signs of struggle everywhere.

As they walked along, the sound of the small leather shoes on Qian Ye's feet was particularly distinct in the silent corridor.

All along the way, the doors to the offices on the first floor were tightly shut.

"At this time, the students should be in class, yet we have nothing to do. It seems our identities aren't as simple as just students."

Tai Feng approached Qian Ye and spoke.

Qian Ye raised an eyebrow and said in a soft, sweet voice, "Uncle, you don't look like the kind of 'good person' who kindly warns others."

Tai Feng pursed his lips. He just felt that she wasn't as simple as she appeared on the outside.
