138: Episode 138: The Train That Never Stops (Part 7)

There was no one inside; it looked like a storage room.

"Why didn't I notice this before?" Qian Ye rested her chin in her hand, her eyes filled with confusion.

A rustling sound reached her ears. Qian Ye's ears twitched, and she looked around. Within her line of sight, there was a place to sit.

Qian Ye walked with elegant strides and sat down leisurely.

Listening to the commotion, Qian Ye smoothed out her skirt, muttering, "I've been wearing this dress for a long time; I want to change it."

Qian Ye kept her head down, staring at her clothes. The commotion in the corner grew louder, but she simply ignored it, waiting quietly to see what exactly they were trying to do.

Finally, the commotion in the corner quieted down, and for a moment, the entire carriage was silent.

"Mm, finally quiet."

As soon as Qian Ye finished speaking, the rustling sound came from the corner again. "Aren't, aren't you curious at all?"

Hearing the familiar voice, Qian Ye raised an eyebrow. Only then did she look up, and upon seeing the familiar face, she exclaimed in surprise, "Cang Bei!"

Cang Bei's eyes lit up. "You, you still remember me."

Qian Ye stood up, staring at him earnestly with eyes full of joy. "If I had known it was you, I definitely would have looked for you."

"You, you left so suddenly. I, I couldn't find you anywhere. Thankfully, I finally found you in the end."

After saying this, he wanted to give Qian Ye a big hug.

While comforting him, Qian Ye muttered to herself, "Is the Floating Life Pagoda taking this kind of route now?"

"Xiao Ye, what did you say?"

"It's nothing." Qian Ye patted his back, comforting him slowly.

It was rare to meet someone so proactive, and Qian Ye was enjoying it.

In the carriage, An Ke was waiting there, feeling anxious and uneasy, looking left and right, fearing that something else might appear around her.

The next instant, the clatter of high heels approached, and An Ke was in a state of complete tension.

When Qian Ye appeared, she saw An Ke looking like a frightened bird.

"You..." "Ah!" "It's, it's you, Big, Big Boss."

An Ke let out a sigh of relief, her gaze moving upward, eventually resting on their joined hands.

Moving further up, she saw a strange face, a strange boy she had never seen before... Who was he?

Looking at their tightly clasped hands, she guessed something, but she was too embarrassed to ask.

"Xiao Ye, who is she..." His eyes were clearly hostile, staring unkindly at An Ke; this gaze made An Ke feel restless.

Qian Ye tugged his hand. "A friend."

An Ke looked at Qian Ye with some surprise, gazing at her with emotion; she hadn't expected that in the Big Boss's eyes, she was already her friend.

Seeing her expression, Qian Ye knew she was overthinking again, but since she couldn't explain it, she just let it be.

"Xiao Ye, why are you on the train?" Cang Bei looked at the surrounding environment; besides the three of them, there was no one else.

"I have some business."

Seeing that she didn't seem to want to elaborate, Cang Bei had no choice but to shut up.

"Respected passengers, the train is about to arrive at Youth Palace Station. Please have your tickets ready."

"Xiao Ye, we've arrived." Cang Bei's eyes were full of curiosity, and he was filled with a longing for the outside world.

Qian Ye twitched the corner of her mouth, her eyes carrying a deep meaning. "We won't be able to reach the station."

"Huh?" Cang Bei looked confused, not knowing what she meant.

Qian Ye patted him. "You'll know in a moment."

Soon, the train ran slower and slower until it stopped. The train doors opened. Cang Bei walked towards the door, only to see Qian Ye and the other person sitting there motionless.

In contrast, An Ke was on high alert.

The next second, wet feet suddenly stepped onto the steps. Cang Bei looked at the creature that appeared, a flash of depth passing through his eyes, then immediately turned and walked towards Qian Ye.

"Xiao Ye, what kind of things are these?" After Cang Bei finished speaking, Qian Ye saw the passengers boarding.

"They're passengers."

The passengers this time looked like catfish, completely black and very smooth, with two strands of whiskers on both sides of their cheeks. Their feet, stepping on the carriage floor, looked like split fish tails, and their bodies were dripping with water, as if they had just come out of the water.

Qian Ye looked at the arriving passengers; there were five this time. Qian Ye looked up; there were only eleven seats in one carriage, and this station added five more.

She didn't know how many stops were left or how many more passengers there would be.

"Xiao Ye, these, these are clearly some strange things..." Cang Bei gripped Qian Ye's hand tightly, his face full of fear.

Hearing this, a flash of slyness passed through Qian Ye's eyes, but then her eyes returned to clarity. "Ah... strange?"

Qian Ye looked confused, unable to understand what he meant. "Aren't these just normal passengers? Look, they're no different from us."

"Don't you think so, An Ke? Aren't these the kind of passengers who always arrive~"

"Ah, yes, yes." An Ke glanced at the passengers who had just boarded, frowned slightly, but didn't say anything more.

Aren't the ones who board every time non-humans? But they are passengers. She was already used to it; the Big Boss was right.

"Normal?" Cang Bei stared at the creatures that appeared, then looked at Qian Ye, who was staring back at him with an expression that said 'this is normal'. He lowered his head and didn't say anything else.

"What's wrong?" "Are you feeling unwell?" Qian Ye looked at Cang Bei with concern.

Seeing her concern, Cang Bei hid the light in his eyes and shook his head. "It's nothing. Maybe it's just because I appeared here suddenly, and I'm feeling a bit uncomfortable."

"Then you should rest well." Qian Ye helped him to her seat, her peripheral vision catching the passengers starting to sit from the first seat again.

An Ke looked utterly dejected, not expecting that after the passengers from the last stop were gone, the ones arriving at this stop were even worse than the previous ones.

They sat down on her left and right, and the floor instantly became covered in water stains. An Ke could already feel that where she was sitting was wet, and she wanted to cry.

Another one prepared to sit beside Qian Ye, but a red light flashed, and the next second, the entire person dissipated into the air. Qian Ye calmly retracted her red singer.

With a "pop" sound, something fell to the ground, and the passenger behind quickly picked it back up.

Qian Ye glanced at it from the corner of her eye but ignored him.

"Hee hee, didn't you see that someone is already here~" "Don't worry, I won't let anyone else steal your seat~"

Qian Ye smiled and patted Cang Bei's shoulder, comforting him to let him sit securely, while she would handle the rest.

An Ke's eyes widened, and she covered her mouth. So, so cool.

Looking left and right, An Ke wanted to cry. Wuwu, she felt that even breathing was difficult; she also needed a thoughtful Big Boss.

Cang Bei sat there blankly, motionless, as if he had been frightened.

After Qian Ye's action, the passengers behind didn't dare to come forward anymore and honestly sat towards the back.

Before long, the loudspeaker sounded again. "Please have your tickets ready for inspection. The next station is Youth Palace Station. We wish you a pleasant journey."

As the voice finished, a familiar figure quickly walked over. "Ticket inspection." The familiar voice—it was the Train Conductor coming to inspect tickets again.

Those passengers who had boarded didn't dare to delay for even a moment and quickly took out their tickets.

An Ke looked at one of the passengers in the back, staring at the ticket in its hand. The ticket in its hand was the one that had just fallen on the ground.
