134: Episode 134: The Train That Never Stops (Part 3)

Familiar text appeared above.

Welcome, player Qian Ye, to the Eerie Game. Current dungeon: The Train That Never Stops.

Basic Information: In the silence of deep night, a ghostly train quietly travels through endless darkness.

This is no ordinary train; it will never stop.

It carries every soul that has ever lived in this world. The passengers on board are all souls who have lost themselves and forgotten their own identities, wandering in every corner of the train.

Now, you are also passengers, one of them, having stepped onto this train that never stops.

Clearance Condition: The train arrives at the station; disembark completely.

The transparent panel slowly faded away. Qian Ye watched An Ke staring into the void, and the next second, their eyes met.

An Ke looked at Qian Ye, hesitated for a moment, and tried to speak, "Su Ye, which dungeon is this for you?"

"Five."

"Five!"

An Ke widened her eyes, covered her mouth, and exclaimed, "Fi—five."

She looked at Qian Ye's outfit; it was a complete little princess getup, looking every bit like a pampered young lady who had never done a day's work in her life. And now, she was being told that she had already cleared five dungeons.

Everyone here knew that five meant five successful clearances, because in this place, failure meant death, with no chance to start over.

An Ke kept her mouth covered, stealing cautious glances at Qian Ye, her eyes darting around. She hadn't expected that by pure accident, she was sitting next to a big shot.

Wuwu, she glanced at Qian Ye's skirt hem, her chubby little hands clenched tight. She really wanted to hug the big shot's thigh, but alas, she couldn't even see the big shot's legs.

An Ke sighed. She was just daydreaming; in this place, how could anyone be willing to protect someone else when everyone was just trying to save their own skin?

Qian Ye raised an eyebrow, glanced at her, and the corners of her mouth curled up slightly. She then turned her attention to the surroundings. In the carriage, apart from the two of them, there were no other passengers, and even the corridor was deathly quiet.

It was quiet with a sense of deathly stillness.

The dim lights inside the train reflected the deeper night outside.

Qian Ye gazed at the darkness outside, her eyes unfocused.

"Respected passengers, hello. We are approaching the next stop: Station Name. Please prepare to board."

"Huh? Prepare to board? Shouldn't it be prepare to disembark?" An Ke frowned, knowing this sentence wasn't simple.

At this very moment, suddenly, the sound of babies crying erupted throughout the carriage.

Big and small, high and low.

Following that, Qian Ye watched the darkness outside slowly fade away, and the carriage began to disappear.

She looked closely—there was no train anymore. Qian Ye looked around; there were doctors in white coats and nurses, and the surroundings were rowdy.

"My child, my child!"

"Save my child!"

"My wife is inside, she's about to give birth, she's about to give birth."

Qian Ye looked up at what was in front of her; the sign above read: Operating Room.

Qian Ye took a step, and the scene shifted again; it was a nursery.

Inside were many babies, each sleeping soundly in an incubator.

Qian Ye looked at herself, then at the babies inside, a hint of curiosity flashing in her eyes.

Just as her hand touched the glass, the scene changed again.

A baby was toddling on the ground, crawling unsteadily, crying incessantly the whole time.

Without stopping, Qian Ye calmly watched these scenes unfold. The next instant, it turned into a tiny baby slowly calling out: "Mama, Mama."

The direction the baby was looking while calling "Mama" was directly at Qian Ye.

Suddenly, the baby appeared in front of Qian Ye in an instant, its pitch-black eyes staring at her.

"Mama!" "Mama!"

Each cry was louder than the last. Receiving no response, the voice became increasingly piercing.

Suddenly, the environment slowly became dim and mysterious. More and more babies appeared around, tightly surrounding Qian Ye.

They started crying incessantly. For a moment, Qian Ye's ears were completely filled with the sound of babies crying.

Frame after frame of scenes appeared behind them, carrying unknown secrets.

Qian Ye frowned slightly, "It really is a bit noisy."

The voice sounded like a murmur.

Her chest felt slightly warm. Qian Ye looked down and saw Ling Ling poking her head out, prodding her chest.

"Ye Ye, Ye Ye, wake up quickly, this is all an illusion."

Qian Ye's brows relaxed, and she shook her head with a chuckle, tapping her with her fingertip.

The little one is so cute.

Ling Ling flew out from Qian Ye's embrace, and the moment she flew out, the illusion vanished.

Within her line of sight, the light suddenly turned dim and deep, revealing the true face of things.

She saw countless Ghost Infants appearing inside the carriage, wailing like ghosts and howling like wolves, the sound so piercing it was about to burst her eardrums.

"Mama..." "Mama..." "Hee hee hee..." "Hee hee hee..."

Qian Ye summoned her hong ling umbrella. The entire umbrella emitted an eerie red light, and those Ghost Infants dared not come close.

A commotion came from the side. Qian Ye turned her head and saw An Ke smiling with a benevolent expression, approaching a Ghost Infant. The Ghost Infant was shrouded in black mist, its body tinged with black and purple, its mouth split open, gaping wide at her.

With a "pop," a Ghost Infant nearby was dispersed.

Qian Ye approached An Ke. A red light flashed, and An Ke felt as if she had been struck by a sudden shout. Coming back to her senses, she met Qian Ye's eyes.

"B—big shot?" "What happened to me?"

An Ke looked around and saw nothing but Ghost Infants staring at them in eerie poses.

Qian Ye watched her complexion change and gave a wicked smile, "You were just about to snuggle with them."

An Ke looked at Qian Ye's smile and turned pale, "Th—thank you..."

If it weren't for her, she would probably...

At this thought, An Ke stared at those Ghost Infants with only a sharp gaze.

The two worked together to deal with the Ghost Infants. An Ke watched as those Ghost Infants turned into black mist and eventually surged toward the flower pot in Qian Ye's hand. She blinked her eyes—was it an illusion? Why did it feel like something was breaking through the soil?

The two had just stopped when they heard screams coming from next door. Before Qian Ye could move, the spider lily in her hand urged her:

"Master, Master, hurry, hurry! Nutrients, nutrients! I must break through the soil quickly. I want to breathe fresh air."

Fresh air? Qian Ye looked at the dim atmosphere and complex odors around her, the corners of her mouth curling up. She carried it toward other carriages. On her shoulder, Ling Ling escorted her all the way to prevent any intrusion of illusions.

An Ke looked in the direction she left, glanced at the empty carriage, and chose to follow her.

As soon as Qian Ye appeared, those Ghost Infants heard the commotion and found a new target. They stared at Qian Ye with weird smiles on their faces.

Qian Ye stepped into the carriage, took a lazy glance at them, and directly brandished the red singer, charging in.

When those Ghost Infants got close to the red singer, they felt a chilling aura even more intense than their own. Some didn't even have time to react before they were dispersed by Qian Ye, turning into black mist and becoming nutrients for the spider lily.

Qian Ye cleared out three carriages, and the flower in her hand finally revealed a tender sprout; only then did she stop.

"Master, continue!"

Qian Ye poked the exposed sprout, smiling but not quite smiling, "I'm tired."

"If you're so capable, go do it yourself."

Instantly, the movement under her hand went quiet. From time to time, dissatisfied sounds came from her mind.
