24: Chapter 24: Angel Campus (Twenty-Four)

The Dean of Discipline glared at them as they left, blood gushing from his abdomen as his emotions fluctuated.

Following the boss's instructions, Tai Feng delivered the person to the dormitory where Qian Ye was staying.

Shi Mu was thrown heavily onto the bed. Qian Ye looked heartbroken, "Be gentle with my Baby."

Tai Feng's mouth twitched, only to hear Qian Ye's cold words, "Don't let him die from the fall."

Tai Feng... felt quite dejected.

"Brother, is Brother okay?" Nan Nan looked worried.

Qian Ye didn't answer her, instead examining her face, "I think the original face looked better."

The stitched threads, the worn-out feeling of fragmentation—she was very fond of it.

The worry on Nan Nan's face froze, and she forced a smile, "Does Sister not like such a cute Nan Nan?"

She hated that look the most; it was extremely ugly, and the disgust in her eyes flashed by.

"I like it." I really like your insincere, pretentious attitude.

"Are we just leaving Brother here?"

"You can stay here with him."

"No!" After saying that, her face stiffened.

Qian Ye stared at her with a cryptic smile. Nan Nan dodged her gaze; that look seemed to peer into one's heart, and she dared not meet it.

Nan Nan opened her mouth, "Ahem, well, what I mean is that I'm useless here."

"I should go out and look; maybe I can find a way to save my brother."

Qian Ye twirled the umbrella in her hand, nodding intermittently, "That makes sense."

Nan Nan was overjoyed.

— Angel Campus Auditorium

From the entrance to the interior decorations, everything was primarily red—bright red, dark red, a sea of red visible everywhere, with specks of black on various ornaments.

Mo Lan walked in first, staring at the red decorations. Suddenly, she felt her hair stand on end and couldn't help but rub her arms. Why did she have the feeling of being monitored?

Walking further inside, a rectangular table was placed in the very center of the huge auditorium.

What was spectacular was that tree-shaped wine glasses were arranged on the huge table.

They were filled with a red liquid. Why not call it red wine?

The bright red color didn't look like red wine at all; instead, it looked more like blood.

Under the dim light, it refracted a bizarre glow.

"See that? The way to save your brother!" Qian Ye poked Nan Nan with the tip of her umbrella, grinning lazily, her tone sounding like she was joking.

Nan Nan's heart skipped a beat.

She looked at Qian Ye, looking bewildered, "Huh? Sister, what does Sister mean?"

"These things in front of us can save Brother?"

"Isn't this red wine? Can it be used to save Brother?"

"Oh, I'm just rambling." That smile was extremely malicious.

Her tone was full of schadenfreude.

Nan Nan looked aggrieved.

Her heart was about to explode.

Ahhh, she really wanted to kill this lunatic right now; she was so annoying.

She tried hard to maintain her composure, looking aggrieved, "Sister, please don't joke around, Nan Nan is so worried about Brother~"

After speaking, she looked up—hm? Where were they?

Nan Nan saw that at the rectangular table, they were each holding a drink in their hands.

Nan Nan's eyes lit up.

Drink it! Drink it!

Mo Lan leaned in to smell it, but there was no scent at all.

Ah, that shouldn't be right.

Was something wrong with her nose? Mo Lan ran to Tai Feng's side and whispered, "Did you smell anything?"

Tai Feng also shook his head.

His first reaction had also been to smell for any strange odors, but the result was that, let alone a strange smell, he couldn't smell anything at all.

If it weren't for the red liquid inside, he would have thought it was a glass of plain water.

As the two were discussing it, the lights suddenly dimmed.

Mo Lan instinctively looked for the boss's protection.

The next instant, a faint beam of red light appeared, shining directly onto a spot on the auditorium's high stage.

"Welcome, students, to the annual school celebration."

"I am your Angel Campus Principal, Principal Nan." As the words fell, the other party made a gentleman's bow.

Mo Lan saw the person above and pointed blankly, "He, he, he isn't..."

She turned to look at Qian Ye, then back at that ghost?

Uh, that Principal Nan looked exactly like the boss's boyfriend.

Twins? Or were they the same person?

The person on stage continued.

"The celebration is about to begin. Welcome, students!"

As the words fell, the lights went completely dark, and the surroundings became silent.

With a "rustling" sound, Mo Lan only felt a chill on her neck.

"Bo, Boss, are you there?"

No one answered.

Mo Lan swallowed hard, trying to calm her heartbeat, "Tai Feng?"

Still, there was no response. Mo Lan's heart sank to the bottom.

The lights came on, and facing a pair of hollow eye sockets, Mo Lan was so scared she almost died on the spot.

Seeing her reaction, the other party grinned, mocking her.

Mo Lan took out her axe and chopped down at its head.

Looking at the NPC lying on the ground, Mo Lan elegantly brushed back her hair, "You scared me."

Turning around, she met Qian Ye's gaze, and Mo Lan's legs went weak.

Oh my god, so the boss was here.

"Bo, Boss." Mo Lan forced a smile that looked worse than crying.

She really wanted to find a hole to crawl into; it was too, too embarrassing.

Imitating the boss, only to be caught red-handed by the real person.

Mo Lan was too busy being embarrassed and didn't see the satisfaction in Qian Ye's eyes.

"Well done!"

Hearing the praise, Mo Lan was stunned. Was the boss praising her?!

Ahhh! She was back in action.

Tai Feng looked at Mo Lan with a complicated expression. Had another one gone crazy?

The small interlude ended, and the three of them stared at the bizarre people in the venue.

Well, Mo Lan was speechless.

Eyeless ghost students, headless ghost students, ah, and new students whose entire appearance looked like they had been pieced together, their facial features completely distorted and misaligned.

An eye grew where the nose should be, with two ears above it, a nose below it, and a mouth on each side.

Mo Lan wanted to cover her eyes.

"Alright, students, everyone is here. Have a happy game."

"By the way, a friendly reminder: there is still a group of students outside the auditorium who cannot enter."

"In one hour, the top one hundred will be rewarded!"

Mo Lan noticed that when the NPC said the word "reward," she could clearly feel the surrounding NPCs becoming agitated.

Mo Lan gripped the axe in her hand tightly.

Unlike Mo Lan's nervousness, Qian Ye looked at the various NPCs in the auditorium with excited eyes.

The little flower in her arms was almost unable to contain itself; the little flower bud on its head was swaying, extremely excited.

Fertilizer, fertilizer! Food, food.

It wanted to bloom.

Master, hurry up and go!

The little flower kept urging, unable to wait.

Qian Ye poked its bud with the tip of her umbrella, "If you have the ability, do it yourself."

The little flower instantly bristled, "It's so dirty, so dirty."

How many NPCs have you poked with this umbrella tip, and you actually poked me with it.

Qian Ye listened with black lines on her forehead; she didn't expect it to be a picky ancestor with mysophobia.

In this moment, the students all began to move.

They started fighting and biting each other, and one student after another fell.

Mo Lan joined the fight, her axe already very handy; one axe swing, one student down.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the boss, who was like she had been injected with stimulants, chasing a group of students.

"Hee hee hee, don't run, don't run."

"Come, come, let me poke you, almost at one thousand."

"Giggle giggle~"

On the field, besides the various sounds of biting, the boss was the most excited.

Mo Lan looked at the NPCs falling before her eyes, then at the NPCs running away, terrified of being chased. She wanted to cry; the boss really is the boss.
