101: assassination of Henry

In the Lords Mansion at night, Wei He and Neme were still drinking and chatting happily; Neme hadn't been this relaxed since the army set out so long ago.

The two of them drank until their faces were flushed and they felt drowsy. While they were drinking, on the Danga Archipelago, several Radiation Engineers boarded an armored personnel carrier and headed across the sea toward Dragons Maw Mountain.

A thin mist floated over the sea in the early morning. As dawn broke, the seawater was a pale blue, quiet and still, with waves too lazy to even turn over, just swaying gently.

The armored personnel carrier sailed alone across the sea. After traveling all night, it finally reached the shore in front of the Giant Dragon Waterfall at dawn.

As soon as the Radiation Engineers stepped off the armored personnel carrier, they headed toward Alashi Cave.

Ever since Wei He last saw Henry's treasure, he had been completely captivated. Moreover, shocked by the effects of the extraterrestrial fruit and blood sun ginseng in Shiguan Town, he needed these treasures even more. Among so many treasures, there must be many rare curiosities; even if it was all gold, it could increase the economic exchange points for red alert.

After all, they were currently in a state of hostility with the Demon Race, so this could be considered fighting the demons and supporting allies.

The Radiation Engineers arrived at the entrance of Alashi Cave but didn't know if Henry was inside. If he wasn't, they would expose themselves by rashly using the radiation field.

One Radiation Engineer entered the cave. Wei He had made up his mind: as long as Henry was inside, the Radiation Engineers inside and outside would deploy simultaneously and activate their radiation fields. Even if Henry could kill the Radiation Engineer inside instantly, he would still be eliminated by the radiation field of those outside.

After entering the cave, the Radiation Engineer passed through the stalagmite area and the bone area. The bones lay there quietly, as if accusing Henry of his crimes. When Wei He saw this scene through the Radiation Engineer's perspective, he became even more determined to eliminate Henry.

The Radiation Engineer got closer and closer to Henry's door. This was where Wei He had rescued Neme before. At Wei He's command, the Radiation Engineer kicked open the red door, only to find no one inside. The planned scenario of Henry being in the room and the Radiation Engineer opening fire fell through.

"Evacuate quickly!" Seeing that Neme was already drunk, Wei He went straight to the base and commanded the Radiation Engineers.

Upon receiving the command, the Radiation Engineer inside Alashi Cave immediately set off to return outside.

Just as the Radiation Engineer was about to reach the entrance, several screams of "Ah! Ah!" were heard from outside. Wei He immediately shifted his perspective to the outside of the cave. Henry had already killed several Radiation Engineers and was standing there reeking of alcohol.

Henry had also been very depressed lately. First, the duck in his hand had flown away—such a beautiful girl, unable to move, had actually vanished. Then, the Dark Magic Dragon that had followed him for many years had also disappeared at some unknown time. Such a large dragon, as tall as a mountain, was just gone without a trace, and not even a corpse could be found. He even suspected the Dark Magic Dragon had jumped into the sea.

He flew over the sea and searched for a long time, then searched everywhere nearby but found nothing. Frustrated, he went to the Aloeswood Courtyard to drink, but the girls there weren't willing to accompany him. Hearing it was him, they all ran away. It seemed that because he came here often, his proud battle record made them tremble with fear.

If those women heard him think that way, they would probably complain: the girl who accompanied him every time would be dead the next day; who would dare accompany him!

After drinking all night, Henry stumbled back to Dragons Maw Mountain. Just as he reached his doorstep, he saw three colorful people. In his drunken state, he didn't care much and casually killed the three people outside the cave.

The Radiation Engineers at the entrance had naturally discovered Henry as well. Unfortunately, they lacked anti-air capabilities. Looking at Henry in the sky, they were helpless. They were struck by three blasts of demonic energy from the drunken Henry and died instantly.

If he were sober, he probably wouldn't have done that, because those people harbored powerful energy fluctuations. A sober him would have certainly fled at the first sign of trouble. Alcohol truly gives a coward courage.

"A few petty thieves actually dare to come here and steal treasures. Don't you know that everyone who comes here has been thrown into the sea to feed the fish?" Henry said drunkenly.

Now was the best time. Wei He quickly ordered the Radiation Engineer to attack Henry. The Radiation Engineer walked to the entrance, raised his radiation cannon, and aimed it at the drunken Henry. A green radiation beam shot toward Henry. At such a close distance, Henry should have been doomed.

However, out of nowhere, a Giant Gold Fox appeared. This fox had golden fur all over its body and looked no different from a fox from Blue Star, except it was several times larger. The Giant Gold Fox happened to block Henry, and with a scream, it turned into a puddle of green pus.

This scream also woke Henry from his drunken stupor. Looking at the puddle of green pus on the ground, although he didn't know what had happened, he still rushed toward the Radiation Engineer at the entrance at top speed.

Just as Wei He was about to order the Radiation Engineer to deploy the radiation field, the Radiation Engineer was killed by Henry's demonic energy.

"Argh!" Wei He scratched his head in frustration at the base. "The moment I found Henry, I should have just deployed the radiation field. Where did that fox come from to ruin my plan!"

Wei He roared angrily in the base. Meanwhile, at Dragons Maw Mountain, after killing the Radiation Engineer at the entrance, Henry rushed into the cave. Seeing that his treasures were still there, his heart finally settled, and he let out a soft sigh of relief.

Then he rushed out of the cave again to check if there were any other enemies nearby. When he returned to the cave entrance, the corpses of the three Radiation Engineers he had just killed were gone, which he found very strange.

"Is there someone else here? Where are their corpses?" Henry thought of the Radiation Engineer at the entrance and rushed over, only to see the corpse of the dead Radiation Engineer rapidly turning into dust.

Henry finally understood. Those three corpses just now were the same, turning into powder and being scattered by the wind.

Henry stood there blankly. Too many strange things had happened in the last two days, so seeing this scene now, he wasn't surprised anymore.

"Perhaps the Dark Magic Dragon disappeared the same way. Who on earth did this? Who's trying to mess with me? If you have the guts, come out and fight me fair and square!" Henry shouted angrily at the sky to vent his emotions.

Wei He returned to his study in deep dejection, picking up the remaining wine to continue drinking. Since arriving on the Otherworld Continent, the power of the Radiation Engineers had given him great confidence. He thought he could definitely eliminate Henry this time, but the Radiation Engineers' weakness of being unable to attack air targets and their own fragile defense made them vulnerable to Henry's fatal strike.

This made Wei He realize there was a problem with his command. He could have killed Henry today; even if the Radiation Engineers had weaknesses and couldn't attack air targets, there was still a chance to kill him. Thinking of this, Wei He downed another mouthful of strong liquor.
