176: Chapter 176 The Attack of the Four Rhinoceros Brothers
Wei He stared blankly at Linlin's actions, filled with admiration that she could do as she pleased, whenever she wanted. If she ever married a man, unless that man's kidneys were made of iron, he would surely lose decades off his life.
"She seems to be getting more and more excessive, more and more addicted. What should we do?" Tang Xiaowei frowned, and the worried little expression made Wei He's heart flutter.
"Oh, it's fine, this kind of thing is definitely addictive. You'll get used to it! Hehehehe!" Wei He hurriedly comforted Tang Xiaowei.
"Is that so? This kind of thing is addictive?" Tang Xiaowei stared with her clear, large eyes and asked Wei He curiously.
"You don't know?" Wei He's expression instantly became somewhat surprised. It turned out that Tang Xiaowei, who was accustomed to slaughtering people like flies, didn't know.
"Of course I don't know! I'm not married yet!" Two patches of red appeared on Tang Xiaowei's face. She lowered her head and turned away, not looking into Wei He's eyes.
Wei He suddenly realized that this was not Blue Star; in this world, women were generally more conservative, and Linlin was merely an exception.
"It's all Linlin's fault. She made me think the women in this world were more unrestrained than those on Blue Star. I guess I thought too much!" Wei He silently grumbled about Linlin in his heart.
While Wei He's thoughts were wandering, he suddenly felt a tremor beneath his feet, followed by a deafening roar: "Which one of you is Wei He?"
Wei He turned his head and saw four Rhino Beastmen standing before the gates of the Prince's Mansion. Their massive bodies towered several times taller than Wei He. On the shoulder of the last Rhino Beastman was carried the body of a woman. Wei He looked closely and recognized Neme, who had just ridden away on horseback. Her clothes were covered in fresh blood, and blood was still flowing continuously from her mouth. The blood splattered onto the chest of the Rhino Beastman, looking particularly jarring.
"I am Wei He. Who are you? Why did you capture Neme? Put her down!" Wei He roared loudly, the veins on his forehead bulging, his eyes filled with rage.
"Hahahaha, we found him, we finally found him!" Mars ignored Wei He's question and instead threw his head back and laughed wildly. He raised the massive ten-meter-long great-axe in his hand and brought it down to cleave at Wei He.
With a loud "Boom!", the great-axe struck Wei He's body, which was covered in golden light. A nick appeared on the blade of the great-axe, but Wei He remained completely unharmed.
"Hmph, you do have some skill!" Mars sneered and swung his great-axe again.
When Tang Xiaowei saw these behemoths, she immediately cast an illusion technique. However, three of the Rhino Beastmen were completely unaffected. Only the Rhino Beastman carrying Neme fell into the illusion.
"Wei He, their cultivation levels are all above mine. My illusion technique isn't working!" Tang Xiaowei shouted anxiously, relaying timely information to Wei He.
"Ah, Second Brother, Second Brother, why did you stop moving? Big Brother, Second Brother seems to be possessed; he can't hear me at all!" Mashu's voice rang out. He gripped the twin hammers, larger than a human head, tightly in his hands, his eyes fixed on the motionless Marcus.
"It must be that little girl's trick. I think I entered an illusion just now too, but unfortunately, her cultivation is too low, and the illusion has no effect on me at all. Capture her and rescue Second Brother!" Mars shouted to the two brothers behind him who could still move, all while wielding his great-axe.
"Yes, I understand, Big Brother." Mashu and Martin, holding their respective weapons, charged toward Tang Xiaowei.
Seeing two Rhino Beastmen taller than houses rushing towards her, Tang Xiaowei immediately leaped into the air and flew toward another location.
"Hahahaha, you think you're the only one who can fly? We can too!" Mashu and Martin exchanged a look, then burst into wild laughter. They lightly tapped the ground with their toes, causing the hard brick ground to immediately crack, and their two massive bodies leaped into the air, flying toward Tang Xiaowei.
"This is bad, Tang Xiaowei is in danger!" Wei He, amidst his own battle, glimpsed this scene from the corner of his eye. Unfortunately, he couldn't disengage himself and had no way to rescue Tang Xiaowei.
"Hmph, you should worry about yourself more, you overestimating fool!" Mars's great-axe, bringing with it a fierce, sharp wind, rapidly chopped out afterimages around Wei He. Wei He's Golden Body Protection collided with the great-axe from time to time, sending up sparks, until the great-axe had already acquired several nicks.
"Ah!" Wei He found the right moment and punched the face of the great-axe. The great-axe instantly shattered into pieces from Wei He's blow, the fragments scattering across the ground.
"Hmph, these ordinary weapons are just too useless. They can't bring out my true strength at all. That's fine; let's have a real fight!" Mars looked at the great-axe in his hand, which was now just a bare handle, and snorted disdainfully. As he spoke, he rubbed his fists and charged toward Wei He.
The ground trembled with every step he took. Wei He felt the vibrations growing stronger beneath his feet. He turned and charged toward an inn nearby. Tang Xiaowei had already said that the cultivation of these Rhino Beastmen was far above hers, and he was no match for them. Why would he be foolish enough to meet him head-on?
Because the inn door was closed, Wei He used his Golden Body Protection to smash right through it, leaving a human-shaped hole in the door.
"Haha, coward, do you only know how to run away? Ouch!" Mars raised his fist, which was larger than a human chest, and smashed the roof of the inn to pieces with one punch. Countless tiles, broken beams, bricks, and even a few patrons rolled down from above.
Some people had already died from falling onto the ground, while others, seeing Mars's monstrous size, clutched their painful spots and ran, constantly emitting mournful cries.
It wasn't until Mars had completely dismantled the entire inn that he discovered Wei He had already smashed through the inn's back wall and escaped.
"Hmph, trying to run? Not so easy. You won't get away, hahahaha!" Mars's huge laughter echoed throughout the entire city. Not far away, on the top floor of Changle Residence, First Prince Spike was watching every move from afar.
"Hmph hmph, Blant, let's see what helpers you have this time. I didn't expect that after just one trip out, you actually managed to find a few Ability Users. Don't think that having a few Ability Users helping you means you can compete with me for the throne, hahahaha!" First Prince Spike looked smugly at Mars, who was still causing destruction in the distance, a cold smile playing on his lips as he spoke very arrogantly.
"Hey, Sixth Prince is right behind Mars. Maybe he'll step on him, and then he won't be able to compete with Your Highness First Prince anymore! Hehehehe!" A Deer-headed Beastman serving him couldn't help but flatter First Prince Spike while watching the scene unfold.
"If you can't speak properly, say less. Do you think Mars is that stupid? How dare he try to murder the reigning Sixth Prince? Do you really think he's an idiot?" First Prince Spike angrily smacked the Deer-headed Beastman on the head and cursed him irritably.
"Yes, yes, this subordinate was wrong!" The Deer-headed Beastman quickly admitted his mistake and continued to watch the spectacle with First Prince Spike.
