84: The Missing Carlos

Huang Yichen saw that these Leopard-Headed Beastmen had no energy fluctuations whatsoever; they were just ordinary people, so he didn't pay them any mind. Although Wei He couldn't even be considered an Entry Level Ability User yet, he had skillfully mastered his limited Supernatural Ability, able to control it freely, which was more than enough to deal with a few ordinary people.

"What do you want to do? Don't come any closer!" Wei He said, retreating until his back hit the wall.

"Hahahaha, what do we want? To teach you a lesson, so you'll know not to be a busybody in the future, hahahaha!" A Leopard-Headed Beastman laughed heartily.

"Looking at your fair and clean appearance, your flesh must be very delicious. Let me have a taste first, hahahaha!" Another Leopard-Headed Beastman eagerly lunged at Wei He, trying to bite him.

"Ah!" Only a scream from the Leopard-Headed Beastman was heard, then he clutched his mouth and said, "My teeth, it hurts so much, it's like biting steel!"

Looking at Wei He, his hands had turned golden. It turned out that when the Leopard-Headed Beastman bit him, Wei He had activated his Supernatural Ability, placing his hands in front of himself, and the Leopard-Headed Beastman had bitten directly onto his incredibly hard hands.

"Ah!" The Leopard-Headed Beastmen realized things were taking a turn for the worse. This fair and clean young man in front of them was clearly an Ability User, so they turned to leave.

"Don't move. Weren't you looking for trouble with me?" Wei He said, looking down at them. "Come on, come and settle the score with me!"

The Leopard-Headed Beastmen looked at the smug Wei He, gave an awkward laugh, and then someone shouted, "Run!" and they quickly fled out of the alley.

Wei He also chased after them. He grabbed the two Leopard-Headed Beastmen who were running last, one in each hand, and with a casual flick, threw them into the air. Wei He looked completely at ease, as if he were just tossing two plush toys.

The other Leopard-Headed Beastmen ran even faster when they saw this, but alas, they were ordinary people. How could they outrun Wei He, who had already become an Ability User?

Just as they were about to reach the exit, Wei He suddenly rushed in front of them, blocking their path. Then, like lifting little chicks, he picked up the two foremost Leopard-Headed Beastmen and threw them against the wall deep in the alley. The wall was smashed, creating two large holes from the impact of the Leopard-Headed Beastmen. From the other side, it looked as if two lifelike leopard heads had been carved into the wall.

The remaining Leopard-Headed Beastmen knelt on the ground, begging for mercy, saying, "Big Brother, we were blind and didn't recognize your greatness. Please spare us!"

"Yes, yes, Big Brother, we won't dare to do it again. From now on, we'll farm properly and never steal again!" A Leopard-Headed Beastman with unusually long fangs stammered nervously.

"Oh, really?" Wei He said, looking at the Leopard-Headed Beastman with interest.

"Yes, yes!" Everyone quickly replied.

"Ah! Ah! No! Ah!" The screams of several Leopard-Headed Beastmen echoed from the alley.

Until the sounds disappeared, Huang Yichen saw Wei He slowly emerge from the alley, wiping bloodstains from his hands with a handkerchief.

In the alley, the Leopard-Headed Beastmen were all clutching their mouths, lying on the ground, wailing in agony, their teeth scattered on the ground.

They struggled to get up from the ground and had just stepped out of the alley when they were knocked down by soldiers of the Magic Empire. A group of soldiers was hurrying through the streets, as if searching for something.

"What are you doing? Why are you in such a hurry?" Wei He calmly asked the soldiers. Of course, he knew what they were looking for.

"Reporting, Lord Leader, by order of General Neme, we are searching for Lord Carlos!" A soldier, who appeared to be a leading squad leader, respectfully reported to Wei He.

"Oh, what did he do to be arrested by you?" Wei He asked, pretending to know nothing.

"No, it's said that yesterday, Lord Carlos led a large army to attack and pursue the Demon Race. Later, he ordered everyone to split up. When the army annihilated the fleeing Demon Race stragglers and returned to rendezvous, they found that Lord Carlos was missing. General Neme was very angry and ordered the entire city's army to go out and search!" The leading squad leader patiently explained to Wei He.

"Oh, he wouldn't be neglecting his duties during a battle, running off to find women and drink wine, would he? Ah! Hahahaha!" Wei He joked.

"Uh, hehehe!" The leading squad leader gave an awkward laugh.

"Alright, you may go. Don't delay important matters!" Wei He said casually.

"Yes!" The squad leader led the soldiers of the Magic Empire towards the city gate.

Wei He strolled happily through the streets. He had already learned from the perspective of the two Demon Soldiers that Charlie had taken Carlos back to the Demon Race's Lair.

He was looking at the various small items on a stall, just about to pick one up to play with, when a beautiful figure entered his line of sight.

Linlin was wearing a pink long dress, with a cascade of green hair flowing down her back, causing the males on the street to stare dumbfounded, drooling. Wei He also felt somewhat restless.

"Wei He, why are you here? I was so worried, it took me forever to find you!" Linlin said with a frown and a pout, her adorable expression startling everyone again.

"Looking for me? Why are you looking for me? And so urgently?" Wei He said, looking at Linlin with lustful eyes.

"Oh, General Neme came early this morning, saying she had an urgent matter to discuss with you. That's why I rushed over to inform you!" Linlin said, twirling a strand of green hair by her temple with her fair fingers.

"What urgent matter does she have with me?" Wei He asked, full of questions.

"How should I know? You can just go back and ask her yourself!" Linlin snapped, sounding very impatient.

"Oh, okay, I'll go back right away!" Wei He said, then hurriedly left with Huang Yichen.

After Wei He left, a crowd of males gathered around, including Horse-Headed Beastmen, Ox-Headed Beastmen, Wolf-Headed Beastmen, Leopard-Headed Beastmen, and so on.

They surrounded Linlin and asked, "Beauty, let's get acquainted!"

"Beauty, let's be friends!"

"Beauty, my house has a Magic Crystal the size of a fist. Would you like to come and see it with me?"

"You paupers shouldn't bother the beautiful lady. Beauty, my house has an underwater crystal forest. If you come back with me, I'll give it all to you, how about it?"

...Linlin looked at these creatures, all covered in fur, with mouths of varying lengths, sharp fangs, and foul breath, and she roared in disgust, "Get lost, all of you! How dare such ugly creatures hit on me? Go to hell!"
