25: Great Plan

Along the coast at night, gusts of sea breeze blew through Wei He's hair.

On the red alert interface, Wei He watched Captain Kurt lead the twelve guards from the city gate earlier that day toward the coast, followed by three horse-drawn carriages filled with goods.

"Captain, where are we going?" Lu Sheng asked with a face full of smiles. "As for tools, figure it out yourselves. Also, I don't provide food or housing here; you have to handle that yourselves. However, you must not slack off on the work. I will check every day!" After Wei He finished speaking, he strode into the base, leaving the group of guards staring at each other in dismay and wailing incessantly.

Through the Nanshan Town incident, Wei He realized that his economic points grew too slowly just through mining. Furthermore, large mining areas were in the hands of various countries. Even with Du Yu as an infinite energy source, staying on this small island wouldn't yield many resources; after all, even stones were limited and would eventually run out.

Since large cities were guarded by high-level Ability Users and Mages, he could start with small towns like Nanshan Town. After all, he had Huang Yichen and the Yuris. For those the Yuris couldn't control, he could have Huang Yichen defeat them first before letting a Yuri take control. Lower-level targets could be controlled directly by Yuris, just like Captain Kurt in Nanshan Town. This way, he could occupy the economy of an entire city.

Even if the countries on the continent noticed a decrease in tax revenue, they would just assume it was corruption by city officials; they wouldn't be able to trace it here for a while.
