71: Weihe's Iron Fist

Jian understood the situation best. Although Wei He did not admit to being a Space Mage on the surface, everyone knew it had something to do with him. More importantly, Wei He was now the Lord; Jian couldn't beat him in a fight, and his rank wasn't as high as Wei He's, which was truly frustrating.

In the Yichun Brothel of Kela City, the large hall was filled with wine tables. Wei He and several other mages were listening to music while watching beautiful women dance. With fine wine flowing down their throats and beauties for company, the group, exhausted from their long journey, was now so happy they had forgotten home.

Neme, unable to stand such extravagant living, had left early. Carlos, not wanting to see Wei He, took two beauties back to enjoy himself.

"Lord, if you fancy any of them, just have her serve you tonight. These are the best girls in the whole city!" Jian said to Wei He with a lewd grin.

"Hmm, not bad, not bad, hahaha!" Wei He looked at the many beautiful women and was indeed a bit distracted, but when he thought of Su Qinglei's stunning face, he knew he couldn't betray her.

Thinking of this, Wei He stood up, intending to wash his face, sober up, and go back to rest.

Having just walked out of the hall, Wei He wandered around the large courtyard and unknowingly arrived at the backyard. Blaming the place for being too big, Wei He grumbled as he walked.

Suddenly, Wei He saw a familiar-looking beauty, but he couldn't recall who she was. Since arriving on this continent, he hadn't gone out much and hadn't met many people, so who could this be?

Filled with doubt, Wei He followed her to a building. To his surprise, he saw several people holding blades follow her into the room. Wei He hid outside the room, pressing himself against the window to listen to the commotion inside, when a familiar voice rang out.

"How is it? Have you made up your minds? It's quite nice working here. What's wrong with being a famous courtesan? Many men throw around piles of money just to get a glimpse of a beauty. But as a wife, to ask your husband for a bit of pocket money to buy some powder, you have to read his expression. As for beauties, these men love them, and they are willing to pay up. Isn't that generous enough?" the woman said earnestly.

Through the crack in the window, Wei He saw a group of beautiful women sitting on the floor inside. Some were crying, others had injuries on their faces; it was obvious they had been captured.

Wei He stared at the woman and finally remembered; this was the human trafficker he had captured at the theater in Northwest Town. Later, Wei He had left her outside Kela City, but he hadn't expected her to switch careers to become a brothel madam, and the kind who forced good women into prostitution at that.

"I don't want to. I've been married for five years, my husband and I have a great relationship, and we have two children. They won't like this. Please just let me go, otherwise, my husband will be worried!" a young woman, who despite her simple attire could not hide her graceful figure, said through tears.

"That's where you're wrong. These men are just cheap; they love young wives like you who have already had children. Look at your face and your figure, you are truly beautiful. I guarantee I'll make you the top courtesan in this Yichun Brothel!" the madam said to the woman in a soft, gentle tone.

"No, I don't want to be a prostitute. I want to go home, I still have to cook for my children! I beg you, let me go back!" The woman's teardrops, as big as beans, fell as she pleaded.

"Sigh, fine. Whoever else doesn't want to be a prostitute, stand up, and I'll send you back!" the madam said calmly, though a cold, sinister feeling emanated from her beautiful face.

Most of the women on the floor stood up, while a few others indicated that as long as they could earn money, they were willing to be prostitutes.

"Alright, you few stay here for now. Someone will attend to you in a while. As for those who don't want to, follow me!" the madam said softly, leading the way out of the room. Wei He promptly slipped into the garden nearby.

Wei He saw the madam leading those women who didn't want to be prostitutes out of the room, followed by six burly men holding blades. He instinctively felt that things weren't that simple. They had gone to such great lengths to capture these people; how could they easily just send them back? There had to be something fishy going on.

The madam brought them to the back door. Going out the back door led to a narrow alleyway that could only fit three people walking side by side.

Just as they walked out the door, thinking they had finally regained their freedom, the six burly men stepped forward quickly and struck the back of the first woman's head with the hilts of their blades. She fainted on the ground immediately. Seeing this, the others screamed and tried to run.

Unfortunately, these weak women were no match for these burly men and were pinned to the ground one by one and knocked unconscious.

A carriage drove up from the nearby street and stopped right at the entrance of the alleyway at the back door. A person wrapped entirely in black cloth, with only their eyes exposed, stepped down from the carriage.

This looked exactly like the Man in Black from the theater he had killed. Later, one of them had escaped, and he hadn't expected them to have run here. Thinking of this, Wei He finally understood; it turned out the madam hadn't changed professions. Being a madam was her side job; she was still a human trafficker.

The Man in Black walked up to the women, said nothing, and wrapped them in black cloth. Then, he carried them onto the carriage one by one, while the six burly men helped load them.

Seeing this, Wei He quickly commanded Huang Yichen via the red alert system to come to the backyard immediately to rescue these innocent women.

Just at that moment, the madam noticed Wei He in the corner and suddenly shouted, "Grab him too! Don't let him get away!"

The six burly men looked toward Wei He upon hearing this. Knowing he had been exposed, Wei He turned and ran back, with the six men chasing after him with their blades raised.

"Stop running, you can't get away. Halt, and I'll spare your miserable life!" the six men shouted arrogantly from behind, toying with Wei He like a cat playing with a mouse.

As he ran, Wei He turned his head to look back. The burly man closest to him slashed his blade down towards Wei He's head. In his desperation, Wei He closed his eyes and reached out, grabbing the steel blade. The expected pain did not come; instead, there was a sound of metal clashing.

Wei He slowly opened his eyes. The blade was right above his head. Immediately after, what came into view were his own palms, which had turned from their original fair skin into a golden color.

Wei He applied a little force, and the steel blade was easily crushed like tofu, breaking into two pieces.

This scene left not only Wei He somewhat bewildered, but the six burly men were also stunned, standing frozen in place.

Wei He looked at his hands, which now had the texture of golden metal. When he tapped them together, they even made a metallic clashing sound. However, only his hands had turned into golden metal; the rest of his body remained unchanged.

After the brief shock, the other five burly men raised their blades and slashed at Wei He again. Moving left and right, Wei He casually shattered all of their blades, even more easily than crushing tofu.

The six men looked at the hilts in their hands, finally realized the severity of the situation, and started running toward the back door. This time, it was Wei He's turn to chase them.

"Hahahaha, don't run! Be good and let me punch you once; let me test the power of my fists. Ha! Ha! Ha, Ha! Ha! Ha!" The corners of Wei He's mouth curled up wildly, his pair of golden fists flailing about indiscriminately.
