163: Chapter 163 Reencounter with Ni Mei

"What did you say? You don't want to live anymore, do you?" With a wave of Linlin's hand, those dozen or so clones were all obliterated by her Holy Light, leaving only one clone still standing in place.

"I know that everyone who came here is a clone and your true body isn't here, right? In the future, keep your mouth cleaner. Otherwise, no matter where your true body is, I won't let you off!" After Linlin finished speaking those harsh words, she raised her finger and pointed at Lance in front of her. Before Lance could even speak, his head was pierced by the Holy Light emitted from Linlin's finger, and he collapsed onto the floor.

"This Clone Technique is really good; it's even more convenient than my barracks. It probably doesn't even require any economic exchange points!" Wei He stared at the floor where the corpse had already vanished, speaking slowly.

"What's wrong? You want to recruit him too? Your ability to control people is comparable to a Puppeteer, but you'd have to find his true body first!" Tang Xiaowei stared at Wei He and spoke with a face full of curiosity.

"Alright, we'll talk about that later. For now, we should go see Blant first!" Wei He shook his head and spoke in a serious tone.

Inside the First Prince's manor in the Magical Beast Empire, Lance's true body was in his room, furiously smashing the furniture while constantly roaring: "Damn that Wei He! Where did that brat come from? He actually dared to kill my clones! I will definitely make you pay the price! Ah!"

At that moment, Lance's door was suddenly kicked open with a bang. The door slammed against the wall, and a Wolf-Headed Beastman walked in. He was extremely burly, covered in muscles and wolf fur, with sharp teeth and a long snout.

"I could hear you all the way outside, clattering around in here. What are you doing?" Spike glared with his green eyes. As his fanged mouth opened and closed, his booming voice echoed throughout the room.

"First Prince, it's nothing. Just now, didn't my clones run into the Sixth Prince's people? They used their numbers to bully me and killed all my clones!" Lance's eyes were wide as he spoke through gritted teeth.

"Isn't it just killing a few people? What kind of experts could that waste of a Sixth Prince find to help him? Where are they now?" Spike's saliva almost sprayed onto Lance's face. His snarling expression looked extremely terrifying.

"They have already arrived at the Sixth Prince's manor. I think the Sixth Prince specifically sought them out to deal with you!" Lance said cautiously.

"Humph, that waste Blant. A piece of trash who doesn't know a single cultivation technique actually dares to oppose me? He truly overestimates himself!" Spike let out a disdainful cold snort and then turned to walk out.

On the way to Blant's manor, Wei He saw a familiar figure—it was the Great General Neme, whom he hadn't seen for a long time. At this moment, she was riding on horseback, slowly moving forward.

"Great General, why are you here too? Shouldn't you be in the Dark Forest fighting the Demon Race?" Seeing Neme, Wei He immediately beamed with joy and ran over excitedly.

"Ah, Wei He, it's you! Why are you here? Haven't you already returned to the Magic Empire?" Neme was greatly surprised to see that the newcomer was actually Wei He, and she hurriedly dismounted and walked forward.

"The matters in the Magic Empire have already been resolved. I came here to take a look at the invitation of a friend!" Wei He looked at Neme and said with a smile.

"Oh, I didn't expect His Majesty to pass away so suddenly. We didn't even have time to go back and see him off one last time. However, the two Grand Dukes had worked with His Majesty for decades; why would they suddenly turn against him? Is there something wrong here?" Neme looked at Wei He, her eyes carrying a hint of sadness and a suspicious tone as she asked.

"How could that be? Besides those two, who else in the entire Magic Empire could kill His Majesty, don't you think?" Hearing Neme's words, Wei He knew that Gerard's edict had already reached Kongdi City. Fortunately, she didn't know that Emperor Alexander had died by his hand; otherwise, he really didn't know what she would do.

"Oh, that's true! Fortunately, His Majesty Gerard has inherited the throne of the Magic Empire. He promised that military pay, equipment, and supplies would soon be shipped to the front lines. However, because the Demon Race has been unable to take our position for a long time, they have sent many reinforcements. Our military supplies haven't been replenished for several months. Regardless, we are fighting to help the Magical Beast Empire. I came here this time to ask them for reinforcements. Even if they don't send troops, they should at least give us some supplies so we can hold out until His Majesty's supplies arrive!" Neme stood before Wei He in her green armor, looking valiant and heroic, yet her fair face was filled with worry.

"Hey, it's not a big deal. If they don't give you supplies, then you should just withdraw your troops and let them fight the Demon Race themselves, hahaha!" Wei He joked with a laugh.

"Withdrawing troops must be approved by His Majesty. How can we withdraw on our own?" Neme said seriously.

"Haha, then we can go together and try to persuade that old fellow Vesemir!" Wei He took the horse's reins and spoke as he walked.

"That works too. Do you know the King of the Magical Beast Empire? How come I didn't know?" Neme followed behind and asked curiously.

"I don't know him. Why do you ask?" Wei He asked in confusion.

"You don't know him? Then why do you call him an old fellow?" Neme asked, puzzled.

"He's a King, and aren't they usually old men in their dozens? So he's an old fellow!" Wei He said nonchalantly.

Neme was about to say something when she was interrupted by Linlin, who rushed up: "Sister Neme, we meet again! I'm so happy. Where are we going?"

"To the royal palace, to find Vesemir and ask for supplies!" Wei He walked in front without looking back.

"Great! We can just go and see the royal palace. I heard their palace is very beautiful. Sister Xiaowei, let's go together!" Linlin excitedly pulled Tang Xiaowei and said.

"Alright, it just so happens that I haven't been to the Magical Beast Empire's royal palace either!" Tang Xiaowei smiled slightly, holding Linlin's small hand as they followed Wei He.

Just as they walked past, the shifty-eyed Lance emerged from behind a vendor's stall, watching them walk toward the palace.

"Humph, I knew you weren't that simple. It seems this Sixth Prince is truly determined to fight the First Prince for the throne!" Lance's small eyes stared intently at the direction where Wei He had left, a cold smile curling at the corner of his mouth.

Inside the First Prince's manor, Lance's true body stood before the First Prince with an equally wretched expression, looking at the First Prince before him with a flattering face.

"They really went to the royal palace? What exactly does the Sixth Prince, Blant, want to do? He's a piece of trash; even if he takes the throne, so what? Who would ever obey him?" The First Prince was gnawing on a clean white bone as he asked Lance with a look of disdain.

"I saw it with my own eyes. They are walking with that female general from the Magic Empire and have already entered the royal palace. I think the Sixth Prince has obtained the help of the Magic Empire, which is why he dares to oppose you, First Prince!" Lance cautiously helped Spike hold the remaining bones, speaking with a fawning expression.

"Humph, even with the help of the Magic Empire, as a mere ordinary person without any abilities, he can't hope to win against me. Go and call the Scarlet Gold Demonic Ape for me!" Spike snorted coldly, took more bones from Lance's hand, and gave the order.
