165: Chapter 165 The Crimson Gold Demon Ape's Sneak Attack

"Alright, that's enough. Let them all leave!" Wei He said helplessly, wiping cold sweat from his forehead. If he hadn't seen the Leopard-Headed Guard and one of the four-hundred-pound Hippo Dancers exchanging flirtatious glances—their affectionate looks proving his words—Wei He might have actually lost his temper.

"The tastes of the people here are truly extraordinary. Tsk, tsk, tsk, such heavy tastes. I really can't appreciate this!" Wei He complained inwardly.

"Hahaha! Good, good, good! I want them all! They're all mine! Hahaha!" At that moment, a very boisterous voice came from the other side. Linlin was embracing someone on each side, looking extremely happy. A group of Bull-Headed Beastmen surrounded Linlin, and their bulging muscles made her mouth water.

Wei He and Tang Xiaowei glanced at each other, both seeing a hint of helplessness in the other's eyes.

By midnight, Wei He still hadn't fallen asleep because the noise from Linlin's room next door was simply too loud, making it impossible for him to rest. Feeling helpless, he had no choice but to go out for some fresh air. When he reached the deserted street, a voice came from above.

"You're not asleep either, Wei He?" Tang Xiaowei stood on the roof, looking down at Wei He with a smile.

"The noise is too loud; it's impossible to sleep. You were woken up by her too, right?" Wei He looked up at Tang Xiaowei under the moonlight. At this moment, he felt that she looked even more beautiful than she did during the day.

"Yes, Linlin really does whatever she pleases. It seems I need to get to know her all over again!" Tang Xiaowei smiled and shook her head, looking toward Linlin's room with great indulgence.

"Watch out!" Wei He and Tang Xiaowei were chatting casually when they both shouted out at the same time.

Two Silverback Gorillas, looking like King Kong but with golden hair on their heads, stood three meters tall with bulging muscles. They appeared very strong. With their blue faces and protruding fangs, they slowly appeared behind the two of them, then raised fists larger than Wei He's face and smashed them down toward the pair.

Tang Xiaowei raised a finger, and the Yellow-Haired Gorilla behind her stopped with its fist still in mid-air. The entire gorilla stood behind Tang Xiaowei with a dull, vacant expression.

Tang Xiaowei turned and saw the gorilla. Its massive frame frightened her into taking a step back. She slowly exhaled and said, "Fortunately, I cast an illusion the moment I discovered it. Otherwise, if I'd been hit by that fist, I'd be half-dead even if I didn't die!"

While Tang Xiaowei was still clutching her chest, her heart still racing, Wei He's scream and the sound of something heavy being thrown and hitting the ground came from the street below.

"Ah!" Because of the gorilla's sudden attack, Wei He didn't have time to use his Supernatural Ability. He was sent flying by a single punch from the Yellow-Haired Gorilla, crashing heavily into a wall, smashing through it, and landing in someone's courtyard.

Wei He tried to get up, but because his injuries were too severe, he spat out a mouthful of blood. His body, which he had just managed to prop up, collapsed onto the ground once more.

"Ah!" The Mistress of the House came out to check on the situation. Seeing Wei He collapsed in her courtyard, she immediately screamed in terror.

The Yellow-Haired Gorilla, with its three-meter height, cleared the courtyard wall with a light leap and landed in front of Wei He. The woman's scream seemed to enrage it. It grabbed a tree in the courtyard as thick as a bowl's diameter and, using only one arm, ripped it out of the ground. With a casual toss, the tree went flying toward the Mistress of the House.

Tang Xiaowei leaped down, but she was still too late to stop it. The tree slammed heavily into the Mistress of the House, killing her on the spot. Blood stained the roots of the tree.

Tang Xiaowei stood before the Yellow-Haired Gorilla, looking at its ugly face with eyes full of rage. Just as the Yellow-Haired Gorilla beat its chest and triumphantly prepared to attack again, Tang Xiaowei gathered Supernatural Ability energy in her hands. The Yellow-Haired Gorilla's hands remained on its chest as it stood there dazed, its eyes vacant.

"Wei He, how are you?" Tang Xiaowei hurried to Wei He's side and gently helped him up.

"I'm fine. I'll be okay after resting for a bit! Go check on that innocent woman!" Wei He weakly propped himself up and pointed toward the woman.

"She's already dead. Being hit by such a large tree, especially one thrown by a Scarlet Gold Demonic Ape... an ordinary person couldn't possibly survive that," Tang Xiaowei sighed and said slowly.

"What? This damned beast! I will kill it with my own hands!" Wei He roared in anger, more blood gushing from his mouth.

"Stop talking for now. I'll go find a doctor for you. Come on, let's go!" Tang Xiaowei supported Wei He's body, shattered the courtyard gate with a palm strike, and slowly walked outside.

"No need for a doctor. I'll be fine in a while. Go see if there are any other Yellow-Haired Gorillas. And Linlin—is Linlin in danger? Go check on her quickly!" Thinking of Linlin, Wei He urgently pressed Tang Xiaowei.

"Alright, stay here and don't move! I'll go see if Linlin is in danger!" Tang Xiaowei helped Wei He into the lobby of the Changle Residence and sat him in a chair. Then, she turned and flew up to the second floor, kicking open the door to Linlin's room. The intense "battle" inside made her beautiful eyes widen. After taking deep breaths for two or three seconds, she finally reacted and hurriedly ran away.

"Hey, Xiaowei, how is it? Is Linlin okay? Say something!" Wei He leaned against the back of the chair and asked in pain, completely failing to notice that Tang Xiaowei, who was now standing beside him, had a flushed face and dilated pupils, looking completely dazed.

"Hey, Xiaowei, what's wrong? Why aren't you saying anything? Are you hurt?" Wei He found it very strange when he didn't get a response from Tang Xiaowei, so he raised his voice and called out again.

"Ah, oh, I'm fine. Linlin is fine too. Oh, wait, Linlin is... busy. Ah, no, that's not right either. Forget it, once you're better, go see her yourself!" Tang Xiaowei helped Wei He up and headed upstairs.

After reaching Wei He's room, Tang Xiaowei placed him on the bed. Wei He thought about it carefully and asked in confusion, "What do you mean she's busy but she's fine? Is she okay or not?"

"Ah, oh, squeak, squeak!" From next door came those irritating sounds from Linlin again, along with the squeaking of the bed.

At this moment, Wei He finally understood why Tang Xiaowei was acting this way. He looked at her guiltily and said, "I'm sorry, Xiaowei. I was just too worried about her, so I asked you to check on her. I didn't mean for that to happen; it wasn't intentional!"

"Alright, don't say another word. I know. Since you don't need a doctor, then get some rest. I'm going back to my room!" After saying this, Tang Xiaowei fled from Wei He's room, slamming the door shut with a loud bang.

Watching Tang Xiaowei's departing figure, Wei He's gaze became somewhat complicated. He said softly, "Linlin, you've really put us in a difficult spot this time!"

By the early hours of the next day, Wei He's injuries had already healed. He moved around the room, saying happily, "The Three-Star Self-Healing Ability is truly excellent. Such a heavy injury healed in just one night. Now, it's time to punish those two beasts!"
