93: Rescue Nime

Wei He and the others quickly rushed down from the anti-air tracked vehicle. He knew he had to be fast; the Rocket Troopers wouldn't be able to delay Henry for long. If Henry returned now, it would be all over for him.

The Spy and Yuri walked in front. He also had two Radiation Engineers get out of the multifunctional infantry vehicle to walk ahead of him. After all, no one knew the situation inside the cave; if there were still Demon Soldiers inside, they could be eliminated on the spot.

Wei He passed through the Stalagmite Area and reached the area filled with skeletal remains. He was shocked by Henry's cruelty; this demon had killed so many people. Looking at the relics beside the bones, they were all women. This guy was simply a lustful demon.

After passing the Bone Area, they arrived outside Henry's room. In the cave opposite the door, there were piles upon piles of gold, Magic Crystals, precious artifacts from various countries, and rare treasures. In short, anything precious on the continent could be found here. The light emitted by those treasures illuminated the entire cave, stretching as far as the eye could see. It was as if Henry had hollowed out the entire mountain to store his wealth.

Wei He only took a glance before opening the door to start searching for Neme. After all, he was here to save someone; treasures could be taken anytime. If he couldn't save her this time, it was highly likely that another set of bones would be added to the area outside.

The moment he opened the room, Wei He saw a heartbreaking scene. Neme was lying weakly on a red bed, her clothes torn to shreds, with only a few fragments still covering her fair body.

Wei He quickly took off his purple Lord's Magic Robe and covered Neme's body. Neme, who had been in despair, heard Wei He's voice: "Neme, how are you? Can you walk? Can you speak?"

"Wei He!" Neme looked at the scene before her in disbelief. She remembered that Wei He's head had been cut off above the Demons Lair; how could he appear here? Her tears flowed uncontrollably—tears of grievance and the excitement of seeing Wei He again. After calling out his name, she didn't know why, but she couldn't say anything more.

"Alright, don't say anything yet. That demon could return at any moment; we need to leave here as soon as possible!" Wei He said heart-wrenchingly as he looked at Neme's tear-stained face. She was once such a vibrant and beautiful girl, but now her face was pale and washed with tears. This Great Demon King was too detestable; he definitely wouldn't let him off.

"I can't move right now. Demonic Energy has been forced into my body and is currently destroying it. Even if you take me away, I won't survive. You should leave quickly, Wei He!" Neme, who had been teary-eyed, looked at Wei He firmly after hearing his words.

"No, I must take you away. I won't let you be insulted by this perverted demon. Come, let's go, we're going home!" Wei He said as he picked up Neme and walked outside.

Neme lay in Wei He's warm embrace. Though she couldn't move her body, she felt an immense sense of security. She never expected that at her most desperate moment, he would rush over to save her. It was unbelievable that a loser who hadn't even reached the Entry Level of being an Ability User could find her so quickly and accurately.

While passing the Bone Area, Neme saw the grim white skeletons. If Wei He hadn't come to save her today, she would have become one of those skeletons as well.

After Wei He carried Neme out of the cave, he quickly ran to the anti-air tracked vehicle and placed her inside. Outside the vehicle where Neme couldn't see, a Spy disguised as her ran into a multifunctional infantry vehicle, while the Radiation Engineer who was originally in that vehicle boarded Wei He's anti-air tracked vehicle.

The others also boarded their respective vehicles, and these dozen or so armored vehicles began to drive off in different directions.

Henry finally dealt with the dozens of Rocket Troopers. Although they exploded upon death, to Henry, it was just like watching a fireworks show.

Henry hurried back to the cave. He knew those dozens of people were just small fry; the real big shot was the person who could generate space magic fluctuations just now. When he returned to the Lair, he found that nothing inside had changed, except that Neme had disappeared.

Henry quickly rushed out of the cave and flew into the air. The fire on Dragons Maw Mountain was still burning. Henry's mind raced as he muttered to himself, "She couldn't move her body, how could she vanish into thin air? Could the space energy fluctuations from earlier have been used to teleport her?"

Henry stroked the horns on his head. While thinking, his peripheral vision caught a strange object moving at high speed. Driven by curiosity, he quickly gave chase. The multifunctional infantry vehicle carrying the Spy disguised as Neme was racing toward the residential area at the foot of the mountain.

Wei He breathed a sigh of relief as he saw Henry indeed chasing the multifunctional infantry vehicle that had been specifically waiting for him. The other vehicles drove off in different directions just so Wei He could retreat safely and smoothly.

The Spy disguised as Neme was specifically meant to mislead him. They didn't need to delay for long; these people would be able to escape and meet at the designated location.

Just as Wei He was feeling happy, he suddenly felt the ground vibrate, shaking so hard he almost fell from his seat. Henry hadn't discovered the anti-air tracked vehicle Wei He was in, but the Dark Magic Dragon had. It stepped onto the path Wei He was taking and let out a deafening roar.

"Ah! Wei He! What's happening? I felt this vibration in the cave earlier, and this sound... it's terrifying. What kind of monster is it?" Neme leaned into Wei He's embrace and asked in a soft, delicate voice.

"It's okay, it's okay, I'm here, don't worry!" Wei He said, but looking through the Gods Eye View, the Dark Magic Dragon was already preparing to breathe fire at the anti-air tracked vehicle. Moreover, if it was allowed to keep roaring like that, it would eventually attract Henry.

"System, erase it. Don't let it make another sound!" Wei He commanded the system.

"By your command, Commander!" the system's mechanical voice replied.

"Ah! Wei He, what's that sound now? Who is speaking? It feels like she's very close to us, and the voice sounds so strange!" Neme asked curiously.

"It's nothing, we'll talk about it when we get back! The danger will be gone in a moment!" While Wei He comforted Neme, one of the two multifunctional infantry vehicles following the anti-air tracked vehicle moved forward, overtaking them and arriving at the Dark Magic Dragon's feet first.

The Dark Magic Dragon looked at this armored vehicle that was about the size of its big toe and made a strange noise. From its appearance, it seemed to be mocking the insignificance of the Red Alert Troops. As soon as the multifunctional infantry vehicle came to a stop, it emitted an Eraser Ray. The blue-white Eraser Ray hit the Dark Magic Dragon's big toe.

The Dark Magic Dragon's entire body was connected to the multifunctional infantry vehicle through the blue-white Eraser Ray. Blue-white Spatial Ripples enveloped its entire body, and it stood there, unable to move at all.

During this brief pause, Wei He constantly observed Henry's situation. Although the Dark Magic Dragon's body was massive, Henry hadn't noticed the abnormality here at all. He was still chasing the multifunctional infantry vehicle; perhaps he never imagined that anyone could silently eliminate the Dark Magic Dragon.
